We had a wonderful stay at Arrow Hotel! The location is excellent—just a 10-minute walk to both Dotonbori and the nearest train station. There are plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby, making it very convenient. The room was more spacious than most hotels in the area, which we really appreciated. The price was very reasonable, especially considering the generous buffet breakfast included. Each morning, we enjoyed a wide variety of delicious dishes. Overall, a great value and a comfortable stay!
We found it challenging to communicate with the staff, as they spoke very little English. The pillows were not very comfortable. Additionally, the lobby is located on the second floor with no elevator access from street level, which can be inconvenient if you have heavy luggage.

Great location. Around 5 minutes walk to Dotonbori, Lots of convenience stores and restaurants around. Although the room looks dated however it is very well maintained, good size and the bathroom looks newly renovated. Breakfast was good however it was the same everyday although they have a sign in the elevator that says they change the menu daily. It was enough for us to start our day. The escalator was not working the whole time we were there but hotel is accessible via stairs then elevator.
The room was very hot. The control panel only had options for heating or "air blowing". No cooling option. It could only go 19 degrees as the lowest temperature, We called reception and accordingly it's regulated and they cannot change the heat/cool settings. They suggested we open the window (the window has a sign in Japanese not to open) however it was still hot.

The location was a few minutes walk to several stations. The free breakfast that was included in my room charge was fantastic and welcome since I woke up starving every morning and most things don't open until 11 am. The house keeping lady was very sweet and gave us the extra items we requested. Stayed on the 7th floor. Elevator was quick.
I noticed that the ventilation system seemed dirty and needed a filter change because The vents were fuzzy and I noticed the fuzz settling on objects. The mattress was perhaps a little old because I could feel the springs. It was also quite firm for my spoiled western body. My ribs and back hurt every morning because I'm used to a softer bed amd am a little bit boney but a hot shower took care of that.

If you're looking for affordable accommodation option that provides basic amenities and services this is a good find. The breakfast was good. Great location, short walking distance to Dotonbori River District and Shinsaibashi-Suji Shopping Street. It's about 7 minutes walk from Shinsaibashi Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji.
The escalator not in service from the ground floor going up to the front desk. It was difficult if you're carrying 3 or more luggages, but that was indicated on the website when I booked this hotel. Nevertheless the staff was very helpful and stored our luggages after we checked out, so that we can explore the city more as we only had a 24 hour stay in Osaka.

Quiet room in a busy district. Bath, fridge and kettle of course again available, very easy to choose hotels in Japan. In Europe i prefer apartments but in Japan i don't even think about them Victorian style worked for me as i lived in the UK for years. Craft beer bar/ shop in the basement floor. I liked the breakfast.Enough options for me and every place has a tasty coffee. Service of course don't need to be mentioned in here

Nice spacious clean (triple) room conform picture. Friendly staff. Complimentary breakfast was also very nice, with window seats at the street side. Funny establishments outside with dragons and dinosaurs decorations. Lawson was a street behind, so if you know it is very nearby. Walking distance to Glico sign (buzzing city centre).
the elevator didn't work, only got repaired the last day we stayed there (4 nights).

Nothing that we really didn't like

The location, staff and the hotel's free breakfast should be enough reasons to give it a try. It is a few blocks away from Dotonbori. It is accessible to the train stations. The neighborhood lies in the middle of the metro with 24 hour convenient stores. The staff is accommodating, and their breakfast is fresh and tasty
The hotel doesn't have a lot ammenities like other hotels. It does not have a pool and wide common area. It is also not accessible to people using wheelchairs. There are no ramp. The entrance to the hotel is a narrow escalator.

It was pretty good stay in Arrow Hotel. One would easily notice that it is a rather old hotel. Nevertheless, the cleanliness of the room was still impressive. Glad that they hotel seem to obviously have upgraded its bathroom. Facilities were old yet still functioning. Staff were polite and very kind. Breakfast was impressive, it has wide variety. It is hearty and not bad at all. The hotel is just a couple of minutes walk from Glico, Dotonbori & Shinsaibashi shopping alley.
The hotel has to put up a sign that checking-in guests (with huge luggage) need to use the "somewhat hidden" elevator to reach the front desk at the 2nd floor. I noticed, first timers would normally use the "very visible" slim but inoperational escalator to reach the second floor which would be too difficult for folks with large luggages.

The location is very strategic. The room is spacious for family. Comfortable. Breakfast is provided. You can also leave your luggages when checking out. Good wifi.
1. If you bring medium to big luggage and more than one luggage, you have to pick them up to downstairs since there is no escalator down and the elevator last stop is at 1st floor only. 2. No washing machine.
