Location is close to all the action in Osaka. Rooms are a good size and well appointed. Amenities available in reception area to reduce waste. Directly across the road from hotel is the nightlife area of restaurants and clubs. Breakfast options outside hotel are few so recommend you book with breakfast included.
Nothing to fault.

Great location on major shopping street and near Dotombori for eating at night. Despite that, was quiet in room. Facilities excellent, staff very helpful, decent breakfast with Japanese and Western options. Beds comfortable. Wifi worked well
Only serves breakfast, but with a multitude of restaurants nearby, not a problem

The Cross Hotel was the best value hotel during our three week Japan trip. It is located adjacent to Dotonbori, the heart of Osaka and easy walking. Perfect location to transport at Namba Station giving you easy access to Nara and Kyoto. Really enjoyed our stay at the Cross Hotel.

- Nice and Clean Hotel: The hotel is well-maintained and offers a clean, comfortable environment. - Excellent Location: Situated in the heart of Dotonbori, it’s perfect for exploring restaurants, shops, and nightlife. - Convenient Access: Only 500m from the metro station, making it easy to get around Osaka. - Great Staff and Service: The hotel staff are friendly, helpful, and provide excellent service. - Delicious & Varied Food: The breakfast options were fantastic, with a wide variety of tasty dishes. - Room Upgrade Made a Huge Difference: Initially, my room was small with no view, but after an upgrade to a suite, the experience improved dramatically—spacious, comfortable, and highly recommended. - Nice Bathroom: The bathroom was clean, and well-equipped.
Expensive Compared to Other Countries (But Normal for Japan): The prices are high compared to hotels in many other countries, though this is typical for Japan, especially in such a prime location.

The property was clean and in a prime location. Close to activities, train stations, buses and lots of touristy places. It was busy but we could not hear noise in our room, but it was on the higher floor. Room and bathroom were clean and room was quite large. It was nice to have the space to do laundry in the tub. Shower and tub were in its own room, it was nice. Bed was clean and comfortable. We purchased the lounge and breakfast package and both were definitely worth it. Lounge access was from 3:30 to 10 and was unlimited alcohol, snacks, soda, water and juice. It was nice to come back from walking and have a glass of champagne (well, more than one) :-) Breakfast had western food, Japanese food, and every thing in between. You could even have ice cream for breakfast - which people did. It was a large (overwhelming) selection of food and was helpful for picky eaters. I recommend the pressed apple juice - it was delicious and not like the apple juice in the US. Front desk staff was wonderful. They helped us forward our luggage to the next hotel and they gave us a sewing kit when we needed to fix a tshirt. Lobby was welcoming, clean and large. They also had umbrellas to borrow when it was raining. I highly recommend this hotel for its location and the area around it. We felt safe the whole time, even with the large crowds around the neighborhood.

The breakfast was amazing. A combination of European and Japanese food which was amazing. Everything was freshly cooked. We had a triple room which was the perfect size for us 3 adults, however, as is standard in a lot of Japanese rooms, we just about managed to keep our luggage out of the way so we could comfortably walk around. The pyjamas and slippers provided were very comfy. The rooms were cleaned as requested, however, the housekeepers caused some damage to my daughters shoes. The kind lady on reception listened to our concern and couldn't be more apologetic, but there was nothing that could be done really. She came to find us the next day and offered my daughter a few Osaka goodies. The location was ideal for travelling via trains and exploring Dotonbori and Namba on foot.
Our room was at the front of the hotel and was noisy at night, especially people revving their bikes really loudly. I know it's in a busy area but was hoping that there would be atleast a little soundproofing, which it didn't feel like there was. I'm a heavy sleeper, my husband isn't. He wore earplugs to sleep and said it helped.

Of all the hotels we stayed in during our trip to Japan this might be our favourite. The staff were unmatched with their hospitality - just so helpful polite and welcoming. The hotel accepts and sends luggage which was a flawless process! Our luggage was there when we arrived and went were able to send it to our next hotel with no trouble. Very worth the extra money in my opinion. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The bath was huge and you could help yourself to free bath salts amongst other amenities - razors, exfoliating cloth, hair brush, cotton buds etc. from the reception. Stunning view of the city as we were on the 7th floor. The elevator is partly glass and also offers a great view of the skyline and street as you’re coming down/up. Great air conditioning. The location is superb, a mere two minute walk onto Dotonbori street where you can enjoy the incredible signage including the Glico man and enjoy even more incredible food. Plenty of arcades around. The atmosphere is incredible. If you stick around by the river you’ll see boats go by with musicians playing and as they go under the bridge hearing the acoustics was a very cool experience. (We also happened to experience the camera obscura phenomenon in our Osaka hotel room - the skyline appeared on our wall. A photo is included.) The vintage shopping and variation of designer shops in the surrounding area was amazing.
There’s nothing I can think of!

Breakfast is very good but no variety . It is always the same every day except for the soup that changes every day
Maybe next time a little variety on the breakfast

Location was 10/10. Rooms were spacious, clean, all amenities were provided, including pyjamas. Buffet breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We stayed on the Cross Floor and had access to the Cross lounge everyday from 5pm with complimentary drinks, alcohol, coffee and tea, with heaps of snacks. Location was close to all the shopping streets, in fact right behind the hotel. Dontonbori was less than a minute’s walk. Can’t fault it. Will definitely be coming back and staying at Cross Hotel.
I liked everything about it.

Our room was lovely and quiet, the beds were super comfy. Amazing location, next to all the action on the Dotonburi river. This was our second stay at the hotel and its the only place we will in Osaka now.
