Loved my stay here. I was there during cherry blossom season so absolutely loved the park a street over. It's a small walk to the metro and surrounded by the amazing Osaka lifestyle - especially the thrift stores and amazing food. One of the cleanest hostels I've stayed at, the curtains on the beds were high quality and nice hanging space within the bed area. The staff were so lovely, they answered the many questions I had and was always greeted with a smile and hello every time I walked in and out :)

The beds were quite hard (one of the thinnest mattresses I've slept on) and there was no lockers/space for luggage. I was working remotely so was slightly disappointed with the communal area on each floor and would have to purchase something from the cafe/restaurant to sit and work on the ground floor.

Lovely hostel with friendly staff that speak English and are very willing to help you. Great location near a couple of subway stations and walkable to Shinsaibashi-Suji and Dotonbori. Very clean. There is a good breakfast option in the adjoining cafe which is useful.

My few criticisms are, i think, pretty standard across Japan, so not unique to this hostel. The dorm room is quite small and everything is quite low, so a bit tricky when you're taller. The mattress is quite thin and you can feel the hard bed beneath, but all the hostels may be the same. Also check in is quite late in the day and you can't use the shower until then, so coming in early morning hot and tired after a long flight is not the most comfortable. But I would certainly stay at this hostel again.

Reception staff really friendly. Super helpful ... except for ONE skinny guy who sold a booking extension I needed to another guest , after I'd inquired first. Happened right under my nose while I was sitting in reception listening, trying to sort out a complicated money transfer on my phone. Yes, I know about first in best dressed, but thought it was really poor form buddy! He could easily have taken less than one minute to check in with me to see how I was doing and if I still needed the booking, but he didn't! So checked out and went elsewhere as you do!

I would definitely recommend staying in this hostel. The location is very convenient. It is a walkable from the Namba station which is nice. The beds were confortable enough, I appreciated that the locker box with each bed was big enough to fit a laptop. The breakfast was ncie and definitely worth the money. It is also very nice that the accommodation can borrow you for free a power adapter.

The only negative thing I can think of is that the shared room was in general quite small and there was not that much space for luggage storage. Nevertheless, it was not any big issue so I do not consider it as a big negative.

The location of this hostel is great — it’s within walking distance to Dotonburi but far enough away that there aren’t crowds or lots of noise. The staff is also very friendly and helpful!

The mattress is pretty thin and can be a bit uncomfortable. There also aren’t big lockers to store your luggage, only a lockbox in the bed area for small personal items.

- The AC was sometimes blowing hot and very humid and stinky air into our room when using "dry" function AND when turned off. As a result, I think, there were some moldy parts at the wall - the rather loud fan in the bathroom cant be turned off - thr vegetarian option for breakfast was simply the same menu without the meat. Not very in keeping with the times.

The property was very well located, easily reachable and close to public transports. Great hostel and kind staff ! The facilities were very nice and clean too. Special mention for the breakfast that was very good !

The two downside I would say is, first, the fact that you have to pay for towels… quite inconvenient in this kind of places where you don’t really have place to hang them over anywhere. And second, the pillow was not confortable at all.

The best possible location to stay in in Osaka. You will see the best part of Osaka's youth culture and nightlife, very close to America Mura which is a fantastic place to hang out and an easy walk down towards Dotonbori street and all of the best food and bars in the city. The hostel is not super special, the restaurant downstairs is nice. But the location is so good that I would never stay anywhere else when I go back to Osaka in the future.

Very clean, the absolute centre of Shinsaibashi area, wonderfully close to everything you might need. The amenities are great, though you have to purchase towels at additional cost.

The beds are hard, but that’s a given for Europeans visiting Japan.

Imano Osaka is by far the best hostel I have stayed in, the location is awesome. So close to the train station, street food and shopping locations. Everyone was so lovely and welcoming. Communication was easy and the community areas down stairs are fabulous I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone and everyone!!

There is not one fault at this hostel, I had the best time ever. As a solo female traveller I felt so comfortable and safe.
