I had a wonderful stay at R Hotel Namba. Although it's a little bit far from the station, once you're there, you're very conveniently placed for nearby key sights like Namba, Dotonbori, and Sennichimae Dogayasuju. I was treated to a free room upgrade when I arrived and the staff were kind enough to let me check in earlier as my room was ready. The facilities were great and the staff were super kind and helpful. I had a bit of an issue on my way to the airport after checking out and despite no longer being a customer of the hotel, the staff went over and above to try and help me out. Thank you!

This hotel is exceptional! I honestly can’t believe how adorable it is for how boutique it is. It is exactly as shown in pictures! It’s so clean and modern, the bed is so comfortable to sleep in and the balcony is so spacious which is quite rare in Japan. I love the self-service amenities bar to reduce waste. The customer service is 10/10! They’re so friendly and helpful. I met Maya during my stay and she made me feel so welcomed and at home. The location is nestled in a quieter area. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk to Dontonburi but on the way there you will come across markets, restaurants and shops of all kinds so it’s great!

Unfortunately the fridge was too loud so I had to turn it off when I slept. Other than that, everything was perfect.

This is a small boutique hotel and it was exactly what I was looking for. The room was big enough for me - it was clean, comfortable and bright. The location is about 10-15 minute walk from Namba Station but it convenient enough to walk to the main attractions in Osaka. Otherwise, there's the train system. If you want a hotel with comfort and basic facilities like laundry and value for money, this is the one for you.

The hotel staff not always available at reception but you just ring the bell, and a staff member will be there. It is a quiet location so there's not many restaurants, kobini etc nearby.

Great location and surprisingly spacious rooms! Loved our stay here, the staff were great and the hotel offered great amenities. The prices were superb with what's on offer. Beds were very comfortable (I think it was the most comfortable bed I have slept in, in all my years visiting Japan). Great bathroom/shower (it is a stand-up shower facility, rather then your typical Japanese bathtub/shower). Just really-really enjoyed this place and its convenient location and great amenities.

As a solo traveller, I was a little bit worried about the location at the beginning, it is a bit far away from subway(shows on google map 15 mins walk from Namba station but be aware it is a huge station you may need to walk very far away depending on which line you are taking). But turns out is was a good choice, the stuff are very nice, the reception girl, she was very helpful and gave me lots of suggestions, very patient, the room was clean, very quiet, the bed is a bit soft(for me is ok). And I don’t think the room is small. I had two nights here, very calm and comfortable, I think I will choose here again next time. (To the reception girl: sorry I didn’t get chance to say goodbye to you, thanks for everything and I did get two very pretty rings after shopping, thank you so much for your suggestions :)

Modern Japanese decor, great location for getting to multiple places by foot, and to Namba station that connects directly to subway and major train lines. The staff was very nice to accommodate my request to upgrade my room (paid) after I felt the original was going to be too small (and it was definitely the right call). Great price for value.

There was some construction across the street that started in the morning. It was right as we were waking up, so it didn't bother us but just to be aware.

Loved the hotel. Felt like a new and clean building (maybe former, small apartments that they renovated into hotel rooms?). We stayed in the largest room I think (with the upstairs area which we didn't really use but the room had a great size and I could imagine if you were to travel with friends and don't mind sharing the room or even with family and smaller kids the small upstairs area and extra bed would be great. While close to some lively areas of Osaka (Nipponbashi, Denden Town, even Dotonbori) the immediate surrounding of the hotel are nice and quiet and a more tranquil area in bustling Osaka.

Public transport is not far from the hotel so it's easily accessible but it's some of the busiest stations in Osaka (Namba) so expect crowds of people you'll have to lug your suitcases through for parts of the way. (Great connection from Namba though, e.g. to Kansai Airport or the rest of the city).

Checkout time at 11 am for Japan is fair enough (some at 10 am). Checkin at 4 pm is quite late but they can accept to keep your bag if you reach earlier. Even location is not so closed to Namba Station, but the way is clean and safe to walk, even in night time. Staffs are friendly. They provide microwave, oven, kitchen, washing machines in the common area which are useful. Everything are clean and function. Bathroom is big. So nice that they provided coffee and tea with boiler in room. Small refrigerator in room is good. Construction near by, but they work only in day time So no problem. Bed is comfort. They provide soap, shampoo and conditioner…..they are good as well.

Location is a bit far from Nankai Namba Station, especially if you have a lot luggages. Room layout is not so good, once open door, it’s already bed. No zone separation. Space for store your stuffs is not convenient as you have to walk up on bed, to reach storage area. This storage area is so dusty (see in photos, even it’s not clear in photos coz dark). When i tried to clean, dust fly around. I cannot store anything in that corner. Only one type of pillow which is too high for me. Also dusty on floor and under bed. Dont have air purifier and refreshing spray.

Location was excellent, right near some very nice restaurants and shopping districts. Staff were friendly both with customers and each other. Laundry/kitchen was very convenient. Not a far walk from the train station. Rooms were extremely clean and accommodating. One of my best stays during my month long trip to Japan.

Lovely hotel near Denden Town. Clean room, comfy bed, quiet surroundings. Good amenity bar, cozy lobby.

Access from reception to the rooms is via elevator but through outside balcony. Therefore room door opens out and since there is a few centimeter gap between floor and door, in January room gets quite cold. Air con could heat room up, but there was freezing draft on the floor. Soundproofing to other rooms is also quite lousy.
