Stayed at this hotel and was very satisfied with the experience. The room size was perfect for two people, with plenty of space for both large and medium luggage. It's located conveniently near Family Mart, which was super handy for grabbing snacks and essentials. The Hanazonocho train station (Osaka Metro) is also just a short walk away, making it easy to get around the city. An added bonus is that they provide an iron upon request at the reception, which was really helpful. They also have a coin laundry facility on-site, which was a lifesaver for freshening up clothes before heading home. For Muslim travelers, there’s a halal restaurant within a 5-minute walk, so finding halal food nearby was incredibly convenient. Overall, I would highly recommend this place for a comfortable and convenient stay in Osaka!

The hotel was very nice with excellent staff. It's very urban, but my room was incredibly quiet considering how much street traffic there was. I had asked for a higher, bright room, and that probably helped. Also, there was a very nice grocery store about a block away, and the subway station was about 10 fee away so you can get pretty much anywhere. So yes, I would stay there again, but it's unlikely I'll be back in Osaka (even tho I found some gems). There are other cities I enjoyed more, and there's still a lot of other places in Japan I'd like to go to sometime in the future.

There isn't much to do in that part of Osaka (South Namba). Restaurants are limited; no attractions nearby. Note: The images of the city are not South Namba, but Osaka in general — to give a sense of the city.

This place was great! It was right next to a metro station, very clean, cheap, the beds are actually comfortable (which is kind of rare in Japan), and the staff were incredibly kind and made my stay in Osaka super fun!

- very nice staff, Wifi worked flawlessly, very clean, comfy beds, lots of amenities, Metro station just in front of the hotel - rooms are not too small, which can happen in Japan - I liked the location, but it's in a bit more quiet part of town. In theory it was once a "bad" neighborhood of Osaka, but now it's quite cool and you don't need to worry. There is also a lot of nice restaurants around! And with the metro you are everywhere pretty quickly - you can store your luggage with them before and after check in

- if you get a corner room to the street, the noise can be a bit loud at times. But I think earplugs are provided if you need them.

During our two-week trip to Japan, R Hotel Namba truly stood out as our top choice for accommodations. The reasons are plenty: the hotel’s strategic location near the train station, a 7-Eleven, and a large grocery store was extremely convenient. The room was fantastic—spacious, comfortable, and reasonably priced. We also appreciated the flexible cleaning service, which we could request as needed. The thoughtful touches like drip coffee and green tea/hojicha tea added to the experience. Above all, the staff were friendly, attentive, and provided excellent information. We’ll definitely stay here again in the future!

The room was very clean and the staff were amazing! The location was good in a sense that there is a Konbini just a few steps (about 50m) from the hotel where the entrance to the Osaka Metro was also located. They were also able to accommodate our late check in! Good place to stay if you prefer to have a quieter and calmer area.

Although the location was near an Osaka Metro station, I didn't realize that the line it was on was not part of the the line that are convenient for tourists, although it's not a bad thing, it was just nice to have known beforehand. Another thing to note is that since the rooms were quite small, it's fine if your staying in the room alone or with your partner, but if you will be staying with a friend - I suggest getting two separate rooms.

Perfectly clean. Right next to the subway station. Soundproof rooms. Totally silent. Helpful staff. Good WiFi. USB chargers. Great shampoo and products. Easy checkout.

For me the biggest issue was only the very tiny room. If you have 2 big suitcases they will hardly fit in open. Very limited breakfast options (none of them were lactose free due to French toast which has butter), and far away from cafes. Not a very pleasant neighborhood, without many cafes, restaurants, for example. Not good sockets. But USB chargers close to the beds were ok. Hairdryer not so good.

- My room (queen room) was very good for my needs as a solo traveller. It wasn't that big, but big enough for my needs. - The bathroom was nice and well equipped. - I was surprised how good the location was. I thought that those lively areas would be more far away, but they were really close. Transport was really easy. - People at the reception were friendly and professional.

- I liked the breakfast (french toast), but there could have been other alternatives. But the actual french toast was quite good to be honest. - I had only 3 nights in Osaka and it wasn't enough. But that's my mistake.

Incredibly nice room, comfortable bed, nice products and everything you could need is available. The rooms even have a fridge. Quiet and non smoking. I was hoping for a large desk (as I saw in the photos) which the room didn't have, the staff tried to help me and were very nice about it! It's also a very good price for Osaka and right next to different stations, also good food options very close!

It was perfect. They only need to check the photos on this website to match the different types of rooms.
