Small basic room that had everything you need and still enough space for the luggage of two.

Location is close to public transportation and has plenty of convenience stores around. Only thing that might be worth mentioning here is that there where a few homeless or drunk people in that area. Never felt unsafe or got spoken to though. But might be of interest to others.

The property is really clean and well-maintained. You can also see that the facility is new. It is also pretty accessible with multiple stations in the vicinity. Definitely a place to recommend for solo travelers.

The hallways at the floor/s above do not have heater so it’s pretty cold when you go out of your room and go to toilet from time to time.

It was a really great place. It honestly exceeded my expectations. Loved the room. It was so clean and didn't even have an unpleasant smell. Most hotels you can choose no-smoking rooms and still reek of smoke smell, but not this place. That I really liked a lot. A good area as well. The 2 stations to get to the place are so efficient and you can get anywhere from both the stations. Really liked this place. I'd definitely choose it again❤️

This is not a "didn't like" thing, but it's just an FYI. The place is not a walkable distance from the main places like Namba and Dotonbori. If you're looking into going out for partying in the main area, you will have to wait for the morning (5am) to get a train back to the place. Apart from that, I honestly have nothing I didn't like about this place. Such a lovely stay😊

This is my second time staying here actually and I’ll stay a third time if I ever go back to Osaka! It’s about a 3 minute walk to the nearest station, close to plenty of conbini and food places and close to my favorite onsen. Even though the washrooms are only on the first floor there are toilets on every floor so you don’t have to leave your floor. I didn’t use the washrooms and showers much but when I did the sinks were messy from other guests not Bestie’s negligence so I can’t blame them (reminded me of a sharehouse I used to live at). Check in and out is also easy and contactless if you come in too late or leave too early.

Staff go home at a certain hour and are not there over night. If guests are being rowdy and loud and drunk like they were for me one night, there are no staff to help quiet them down and I don’t like confrontation so you just have to deal with it. Other than that I have no problem with Bestie!

Had a pleasant and lovely stay of 3 days, 2 night stay at this hotel. Location was great, with many different amenities around - a public sento (bathhouse) and Lawson convenient store was a 3 minute walk away. Shinsekai was a 10 minute walk. Don Quijote (Donki) was conveniently located nearby as well, great for making late night shopping runs. In terms of transportation, both Dobutsen-Mae and Shin-Imamiya train stations were nearby the hotel, around a 5 to 10 minute walk. This made popular tourist spots and attractions such as Dotenbori, Osaka Aquarium and Osaka Castle very accessible via train. Facilities wise were generally clean and well-maintained. The room that we stayed in had 2 beds, a smart television, a small bedside table and a mini fridge. While the space was a bit tight, it was manageably for our short stay here. There was a small open space that we used to open our luggages which is definitely ample for 2 medium sized lugagges. However, if you're travelling with luggages with a slightly larger size, there might not be enough space to keep the luggages open. Bath towels, face towels and room slippers were also provided. The toilets and shower were shared, with showers located on level 1 and toilets located on each level. The toilet on our level, had a heated toilet seat and bidet. The shared showers were very clean, toiletries for showering such as soap, shampoo and conditioner were also provided. Shared microwave, water tap for drinking water was also available. What really impressed me throughout my 2 night stay over at this place was the fact that I ran into a couple of foreign tourist like myself, as well as a couple of local Japanese people from Osaka. This speaks volumes for the Hotel's reputation for offering a comfortable stay, at a great value. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again!

Check in and check out were very easy. Everything was done through a QR code, which was super convenient. The staff were friendly and approachable, though do note they’re not available 24/7. After certain hours, the main entrance is locked and you’ll need to use a passcode to get in. The location is good. Just a short walk to the train station, which made getting around really convenient. This area seems to cater more to locals and you may notice quite a number of middle aged men roaming around. It felt safe overall, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re not used to the vibe.

This place is great for an affordable option for travelers visiting Osaka. It is located 6 minutes away (on foot) from the metro and JR stations. Tsutenkaku is 15 minute walk away. The room was clean. The double room we got was relatively spacious. The common bathrooms and shower rooms were okay. There is a coin operated washer and a dryer in each shower room, and washing detergent is already provided. Overall, I would say it's a great pick for a budget stay in Osaka, which you can use to explore the area.

The shower room wasn't the cleanest. The drains in bathroom sinks were a bit slow. There was a bit of traffic in the shower room, and there was a small queue to the washer and dryer, so it might not be enough for the amount of people staying at the hotel. There was a bit of noise coming from the area outside of the hotel.

I loved the room we got! This really felt like a hotel, in comparison to some of the guest houses / hostel-esque places we stayed in. I loved that it had a window, and it was so comfy! It was such a nice way to round out my Japan trip :) It is also close to anything in Osaka!

Upon arrival, we were locked out of our hotel because the email confirmation that we received upon booking gave us the wrong code to the hotel, and when we contacted support they spoke ZERO English. This wasn't a huge problem, because Japanese was my second major in college. Although, this would have been really disastrous had this been any other country. Also, the location is a bit grimy. Not much of an issue if you are planning to just use this hotel as a home base! It was a real treat in comparison to some of the hotels we stayed in. I only rate this a 9 because I have an affinity to somewhere I stayed in Ayase!

Everything met or exceeded my expectations. Room was small, but a little larger than expected so that was a bonus. The beds were well designed with luggage storage at the end. The bedheads had USB and 100v charging ports. There was a small fridge that added to the comfort. The hotel is thoughtfully designed and was generally very clean and tidy, however some of the shared bathroom facilities could do with more regular wipe ups during the day (or provide a cloth for guests to do so). The linen was also very clean and comfortable. The area wear the hotel is situated is very close to a subway and JR station, and only a km or two to walk to more interesting areas. There are 24 hr convenience stores nearby. While Nisihinari as an area is not that appealing due to the many alcoholics that spend their days drinking in the street and small bars, they are mostly harmless and don't bother the tourists at all. Though viewed negatively by Japanese standards, the area is still safer than most Western cities I can think of.

My only real future concern is the mattress used. Despite being a new hotel, the mattresses are already sagging to the point that they bottom out if you sit on the edge. While comfort is adequate for now, I feel they may need to be replaced in the next 12 months to continue to remain comfortable for quests with heavier western body types.
