Was very well priced. After a snow storm I couldn't get to my next destination so I needed a last minute place to stay in Otaru. This hostel was exactly what I needed. Very simple, but very cheap! Had a nice warm shower, privacy curtains around the beds and I was one of only a few guests in the hostel room.

The beds were thin (not uncommon in Japanese hostels I realized) and the location isn't so ideal (took the bus up from the train station since I had ski gear to carry).

The staff were friendly and nice. I had the pleasure to chat with some of them during my stay. The floor was kept really clean by the staff despite it being winter (lots of snow) when I stayed. I had a very comfortable stay at this hostel. I would definitely stay here again when I'm in Otaru!

I appreciate the effort of the staff to keep the place clean. Having a sign for guests to clean up after themselves when using the microwave might be something to consider.

It was a great value and I was able to book it last minute. I was able to store my bicycle against the house behind the wall.

The location was a bit difficult to find at night. It’s in a residential area and while there is a sign it is not lit up. While I was the only person in the 6-bed dorm only one of the beds had curtains. The eating area is a bit limited. I microwaved some food in the kitchen but the staff was using the common area (couch with small table and TV) and it was full. I just ate in the room as there wasn’t anywhere else.

Great hostel, I enjoyed my stay here. A bit far from the center but you get to see a different area of town and not just the touristic side. The staff was very friendly and it feels like staying at someone's home and not really a guesthouse.

Towels are not included and the wifi was terrible in the dormitory that's why I give it 4/5 stars.

The room was clean and comfortable and so was the bathroom area. It was quiet at night allowing for a good night sleep. Overall it has a good price/quality ratio

The hostel is located quite some distance from the city centre so expect around 20-40 min walk (don't remember exactly) towards the city centre and train station. Probably better if you have some transportation. And it could do with a sign maybe on the outside.

Comfortable and affordable hostel. Clean room.

Kitchen and bathrooms not cleaned often enough. Parking is a five min walk away and sometimes the neighbors get upset if you are unloading luggage by car.

I use tatami room by myself. Was lucky! And all different staffs are friendly and I met interesting hostel’s guests. And used beautiful coffee cups and Plates.

A little bit dusts some parts

Private Double room was a good size, warm and very well priced. Bed was comfortable. Lounge is welcoming, the hostel feels like being welcomed into someone’s home. Staff were friendly.

The duvet / comforter on the bed was too small for two people sharing a double bed.

Location was great.. about 15 min walk to town, but for that you get a super comfy place that feels Like home. Nice to have parking for the car so close and the staff were very helpful

Staff available most of the time. They are nice. The room is clean. The toilet and shower are very nice. You can chat with staff in the living area.

You have to pay for amenities but... A hostel so it is okay.
