It was a little bit more spacious than I expected! Hahaha, I was probably too used to the very small rooms in the cities. They were clean, beds were comfortable, water heated up well, and had little to no noise at night. The kitchen had a stove, fridge, and plenty of utensils, which was great. The laundry room was right next door, and the location was excellent - within 10-15 mins walk to major train station and local attractions. I requested a ground floor (i.e. first floor) room since my parents have leg and back issues and they cheerfully accommodated us, which was greatly appreciated! Also, they left some origami paper with instructions, which was lots of fun - my mother enjoyed making paper cranes!

There was no tea/coffee/etc. (as stated), so I had to go to the nearest convenience store (konbini) or supermarket to get some. Within a 10-minute walk, so a minor inconvenience only.

Able to accommodate 4 ppl and walking distance to the station. Area was calming and all bus facilities to major sites such as Shirakawa go and Shinhotaka Ropeway. Staff replied fast and were very friendly. Cleaning staff comes every three days which meant the room was kept constantly clean.

A slight down thing is that i have to go out from the accommodation to wash clothes and it was cold in the winter.

It was nice to have a room to move for the 3 of us after tiny Tokyo hotel rooms. There is a kitchen but we never used it. The bedroom is one big room that can be divided into 2 with sliding doors, this is what we did. My husband and I in one side an our teen daughter in the other side; each side had a separate entry sliding doors. Each section also had air con. We were on the ground floor next to the laundry room, which was v convenient as we had to do laundry. It's walking distance to the JR train station.

Being on the ground floor meant you could hear people stomping around on the floor above.

18 steps to get to our Appartement wasn’t good, very small toilet, hard to get into. We thought we get two bedrooms, but two beds were made up in one bedroom, all windows were obscure, could not look out. No toaster or toasting oven which would be handy.

Location is good, short walking distance from restaurants, convenient stores, bus station, train station, taxi. Old town walking street is not far from the hotel. Family room is quite spacious for 3 persons, fully equipped with kitchenware. Most of all it is very clean. They could help arrange a private tour to Shirakawa-go.

This private condo is fantastic! It's huge by Japanese standards, well equipped with everything you need, and it's super close to the main walking street with tons of food options and shopping.

I love all facilities such as pot, pan, cuttery. It's very easy to understand from the instruction that provided by message. The room is suitable for the family as well as a group of friends. I would highly recommend to stay at Thanyaporn Hotel.

Our room is just next to the little shrine. So It would a bit be scary but there was nothing happen.

Room sizes, kitchen sizes all were fantastic..The location is so close to station. We had requested the property to give us room on first floor as we had senior citizens travelling with us..they instantly acknowledged our request and assigned us the room on first floor...

The location is easy to find and within walking distance of the old town, train station, and bus station. The hotel also provides private parking spaces.

There is no heater in the living area, making it too cold in winter. However, opening the bedroom door helps share the heat between rooms.

It’s was perfect for exploring Takayama. Walking distance from train station -and the old town. Lots of eating locations nearby. The two seperate bedrooms were great and a small kitchen with all amenities. The host keep in touch via messages. Good communication. Easy pin entry.
