It’s within walking distance to most tourist attractions, restaurants, bus interchange and train stations. The rooms are big, comfortable and have great amenities like well-decked kitchen. Netflix and YouTube kept the children and elderly entertained. The washing machine and dryer are fast and efficient.

The steps between the entrance and lobby are challenging if the hotel staff didn’t help us to carry our luggage. Parking will be an issue if you rented a car.

It’s very near the station just a 2 minute walk. A convenient place with clean facilities. The staff are friendly and helpful, even prepared what a traveler needs beforehand. The breakfast is also good value.

They don’t have any elevator or escalator from the ground floor to the first floor, where the front desk is. However the staff can help carry luggage.

Located just across Takayama Station, this hotel is within walking distance to most of the major attractions within the town. The room was very clean and spacious. All basic bathroom amenities were provided, and the fridge even included free drinks. The breakfast had a wonderful variety of options and the kitchen staff were so friendly. There were two washers and dryers free of charge to use. There was free sake tasting in the lobby as well.

The elevator doesn’t go to the ground floor and there is a set of spiral stairs that goes to the lobby on the second floor. We had four heavy suitcases that we had to carry up to the lobby. In the lobby there is also a raised platform that you have to go over, and there was another raised step leading to the hallway to our room. It would be an issue for people with mobility issues carrying suitcases. However, upon checkout, the front desk staff was so kind to help us carry some suitcases down.

The emergency exit light was too bright and smoke extractor too noisy, making it difficult to sleep

Very clean, great staff, very good breakfast - and available at 3 different times in the morning, large rooms, table and kitchenette space (which we did not use as much since we went out to eat), the AC worked great - very strong and kept the room cool on hot summer days, nice tatami mat room, excellent location - easy access to train / bus station and a pretty 10-15 minute walk to River area restaurants / shops / market, free laundry, nice shower room with good water pressure. Overall fantastic stay.

It was all good - only think to know for less abled people of those with large luggage is there is a flight of stairs on the entry.

The hotel is 2 minute walk from Takayama JR Station and Takayama Bus terminal, so you can use it as a base to travel to Shirakawago, Toyama or Kamikochi. Most attractions in Takayama are 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. Spacious room, helpful and friendly staff, a variety of free drinks in the fridge, well-equipped kitchen, a dining table, great breakfast. I stayed in 4 hotels during this trip in Japan, and this is the best one!

EVERYTHING : -The spacious room, my 7 year old and 2 year old could run around and play inside the room. -the generosity of this place , always stock you up with drinks for you and the kids too (apple juice, orange juice, water, coke, beer) - the interior of the room , feels Japanese with a corner of tatami setting for 4 people to gather and drink tea. Other areas are mostly simply decorated with white walls and sleek design. - the simple but delicious breakfast. They have a rice ball machine, so cute! (To make your own onigiri) - the staffs are all nice and smiley - free flow coffee (they have a coffee machine) and also green tea and sake near the lobby. For sake and green tea, they have a limited time for serving it, do check with the hotel. - the washing machine and the dryer!!! These 2 things really made my life easier 😍. They provide baskets for you to unload other people's laundry (when their laundries are done but they haven't pick them up yet), so you can start doing your laundry when others' are done. - location is also nice, very near to JR station and also near to family mart (around 3 mnts walk) that opens 24 hours. I feel like this place offers everything that you might need with a touch of simplicity and practicality 🫶

If I have to point out 1 thing I didn't like about this place is : they have stairs for you to go up to the lobby 😄 So if you have big and heavy luggages, and also kids in strollers, it would be a bit of work for you. But the people at the receptionist can help you with your luggages. The guy that was there during my check in offered to go down and help me with my things but I said no need because my husband could do it.

This property was so spacious and comfortable. It was lovely to have room for our suitcases and a table and chairs to sit at. The bed was also very comfortable. Service within the hotel was excellent and the breakfast very good and included in our price. Coffee and saki were available on a help yourself basis all the time. We also used the communal laundry which was not busy and included washers and dryers. The location was very convenient for the train station and the bus station and surprisingly quiet considering it’s proximity to both.

I couldn’t find anything to complain about. One consideration is that there is a single flight of broad stairs to get to the hotel reception which could be an issue for people with mobility issues. However, the staff offered to take our bags down to the street level for us and I’m sure they would also help with bringing them up to reception if required.

This is our second visit to relax hotel as we enjoyed our visit 18 months ago. It’s just a 3 minute walk from the Takayama station and a short flight of stairs to reception. The room was very spacious with a kitchenette. It has Netflix which was a bonus for us. Our room had complementary drinks in the fridge. The espresso machine on the ground floor is available 24/7. The staff kindly made dinner reservations for us as it was the Spring festival and most restaurants require a reservation. The breakfast is generous and the freshly made Japanese pancakes were delicious. My only suggestion would be that they not replace the slippers every day, it seems wasteful. Especially as there is a sign in the toilet asking us to save toilet paper. We didn’t need new slippers each day.

Really great hotel, in front of the JR station, close to the town, there is a whole set of cooking utensils in the room, you can take care of three meals a day, next door to the hotel is a beef specialty store，Beer, juice, and mineral water are all free in the refrigerator, and oil, salt, and pepper are thoughtfully prepared. Will come again next time，Staff are friendly, smiling and enthusiastic about service
