I thought the rooms are well designed and laid out, and the location was excellent. Starting from the location — it’s a few minutes walk from a few different Akihabara stations which connects you to Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ginza, Ikebukuro easily and directly. There’s a FamilyMart and Lawson across the street, and also a Starbucks, so breakfast was easy. There’s also a cute onigiri and soba shop next to the Lawson’s which makes for a convenient lunch/dinner. The room itself, I enjoyed - I stayed alone in 1 room, while my partner had their own. There was enough counter and desk space, and enough floor space to open my big luggage. The bathroom is well laid out and I love how quiet the exhaust fan is (compared to two other rooms we stayed in at Osaka and Kyoto). The tub was big enough for 5’4” me to stretch out, and it fills and drains quickly. The coin laundry downstairs works well, and the Chinese staff at the front desk was helpful.

This is not the place for you if you’re very sensitive to noise. My room faced the river and the train tracks so could hear the whir of trains as well as the occasional platform announcement. It was not loud enough to stop me from falling asleep, but the announcement did wake me up the first morning. I don’t mind the sound that much so this is a small thing.

This hotel is in a perfect location. Only a three minute walk to the electric town and all the anime stores in Akihabara and is literally across the street from the train station which can easily take you to Tokyo station and from there you can easily access other neighborhoods in Tokyo or the Shinkansen. There is a Dennys on the second floor and both a Lawsons and a Family Mart one minute from the hotel. The staff was excellent as well. When I had mistakenly booked a smoking room, they switched it immediately without any issues, and also helped arrange for a late checkout free of charge.

The room is small (which is pretty standard for Japan) and did feel a little cramped with two people. Additionally the bed is a bit firmer than you'd expect, but that could just be a cultural difference rather than the fault of the hotel.

This hotel is really close to a train station and surrounded by restaurants and shops. The staff was helpful and they offer luggage storage.

Most of the toiletries were in the lobby, which is on the 3rd floor not the ground floor, so not easy access. You can hear the room next door and the train, but not too loud. The bathroom flush was really noisy. It costed more than other places.

The location of the hotel is absolutely outstanding, it has a close proximity to Akihabara station which makes it ideal for someone who wants to explore Tokyo and then at the end of the day then come back to room without having to hike everything miles. Also its closeness to Akihabara in general is a real win for those that want to explore everything it has to offer. The rooms are well sized for Tokyo and impressively sound proofed despite the close proximity to central Akihabara and the JR lines we didn’t hear a single train during our stay.

Nothing out of the ordinary here, the Beds are very firm but that’s a consistent point raised based on other reviews.

The Akihabara Washington hotel is in a fantastic location. One block away from Akihabara station, with several lines to work with as you navigate Tokyo. Critically, the Yamanote line runs through this station, which is super useful. But other lines also are very helpful, such as the direct line to Asakusa. Something like 5-6 lines serve this station. A block from hotel is also a pedestrian bridge across the river, and then a couple of block gets you to the Iwamotocho station, and yet another train line. I used this station once as well, as that line got me directly to Jimbocho...book town area....which was another great area to explore for an afternoon. All of Akihabra is at your fingertips from this hotel. Staff was really good. Room was pretty clean as well. The Breakfast is very popular. The room size is not huge, but not among the most tiny either. The size of the room represented a good compromise between the truly small rooms, such as an APA hotel, and something a bit more roomy, but more costly also. Basically, but Tokyo standards, this room is perfectly good. I will return to this hotel again. I spent 9 nights here, and that I would not hesitate to return says a lot.

As a six foot three guy, the bed was decent, but not amazing. A little short for me....and comfortable enough, but not "excellent comfort". I would say the bed was "good enough".

Just minutes from JR Akihabara Station, it’s perfectly located near a convenience store and market. Plus, Yodobashi Camera is just a few steps away—ideal for gadget lovers! The room was cozy and charming, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Overall, a fantastic blend of comfort and convenience. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting Akihabara!

The laundry area was functional, but I noticed it could benefit from more regular cleaning. I hope the management considers maintaining it more frequently to ensure a more pleasant experience for all guests.

Very close to the train station, vibrant area, room was small but just big enough for us, overlooking the river and a small local shrine, a piece of daily life. Clean and tidy. Didn't try the breakfast, ate out.

The train tracks are very close, some rooms feel it more than others. We stayed at the corner near the tracks but facing the river and it was just quiet enough. We heard the train's announcements twice and it wasn't unnoticeable, but didn't wake us up and we didn't mind. Other than that the room was small but decent, and we managed pretty well with 2 bags and a trolley.

Amazing location right next to JR and TX Akihabara Station and a short stroll to the lights and wonders of Akiba. The hotel is relateively modern with good facilities such as QR Code card payment washer and dryers as well as a Denny's on site. Great staff who can speak English well and communicate facliities as well. We also lucked out and got a corner room so try to request for a number 26 room if you are staying in a double room as the extra entrance hall way space made the rooms feel much bigger and less cramped than others. Good amenities bar with lots of great additional options and their luggage service was also very well done. We also had our luggage stored for a week at the hotel and was kept safe throughout. Highly recommended.

The Denny's downstairs can get a bit packed out during morning rush so I recommend heading across the st to the GUST's instead where it is always empty and serves essentially the same food.

It's pretty convenient due to its closeness to the station. Lots of convenience stores, restaurants, arcades and karaoke, so you always have something to do, eat or places that you need. The room was small, but nothing too uncomfortable. The heating system and air conditioning worked very well. It was fast and easy to warm up in the room after spending the day outside in the cold streets of Tokyo in winter. The hotel is right in front of Akihabara Station, which connects to a lot of places so it makes moving around Tokyo pretty easy. The staff was very helpful and the room had everything you need for your stay.

I did not have any issues while sleeping, nor any pain when waking up, but I did notice that the mattress was a little bit hard. Also, I did not have issues with the space, I managed to fit everything and be comfortable around my room, but I do know that for other people it might be too small. if you don't like small rooms, the room might be too small for you, since it can get tricky to open two big luggages.

Location is outstanding - very convenient to station, bars, restaurants and shopping. Breakfast was extensive and reasonably priced and staff are very helpful and friendly. On a busy street but we heard no noise at all from outside.

Beds weee very firm (which some people prefer) and I slept ok but a bit softer would suit me better. No driveway for pick up or drop off with luggage (driveway next door to hotel was policed by some very unreasonable guards who refused to allow even a short drop off even though no other activity taking place - not the hotel’s fault of course bur did make arriving a challenge on a busy street).
