The location was excellent, close to multiple metro lines and very convenient for travel. The room was nice and cozy.

We did not like the breakfast, which is a choice of the same 6 options every day. The food was generally of good quality, and we can see how others might like it, but those options were not for us. Also, it was a bit slow and not very convenient if you have early morning activities. Additionally, on three mornings we asked not to have the salad dressing, which we did not like, but on two of those occasions it was ignored, and we just got the default meal. We did not complain, though, so as not to delay our departure any further.

Been here before and I will probably go back. I find the location convenient because it’s close to many metro lines. The area is quite lively and full of restaurants. The interior design is pleasant.

The rooms are on the small side (typical in Japan) and after 20 years they are starting to look a bit tired. This time I found the room service a bit weird, one day they didn’t do my bed because I had left a T-shirt on it and staff are not allowed to touch items of clothing (??). I kept getting messages slipped under my door explaining stuff like this. Also, I was there during an holiday period and they suspended all laundry services for 5 days, something I have never heard of, not even on Christmas day in Europe. PS not a big fan of reception crammed with stored luggage, but just a detail.

The cafe next door offers discount breakfast for guests. The range of options is good and includes a very nice Japanese breakfast (choice of fish or chicken). The cafe also operates as a Bar at night and serves dinner. The location of the Hotel is fantastic - very close to the Akasaka-Mitsuke Station which has links to all major lines for access to key attractions. The area where the Hotel is located is full of restaurants (Sushi, Ramen, also Chinese inspired noodle places) where guests who do not speak Japanese are very welcome. The vibe and night-life of the area are also great including little bars. The Hotel manager and staff are incredibly helpful and friendly - and will gladly offer maps and directions to key sites when asked. The hotel room is small and very comfortable with good amenities including slippers, nightwear, towels (changed daily), tea and kettle etc. I was there in the height of summer and the air-conditioner worked very well. I highly recommend this hotel

Lovely hotel room , very spacious. The beds ( 3 single beds) were exceptionally comfortable as were the pillows We liked the huge shower room / bath, in the bedroom., separated from.room.by perspex doors and shower curtain....very quirky.but different. Powerful shower. Good lighting and lots of side lights. Exposed brick work and black units looked modern in the bedroom .Plenty of toiletries and very good quality shampoo, etv Overall, it was a little bit different in a modern, classy way.. Excellent location with 2 subways very nearby. Many good restaurants in thd area, and convenience stores. We really enjoyed being in that part of Tokyo.

Bit pricey

It was a good location close to most tourist attractions by subway or cab but with more of a local feel. There were lots of restaurants within walking distance that were local versus filled with other tourists. Rooms were tight but larger than other Japanese hotels we used. Bathroom was fantastic. Wonderful breakfast next to the hotel that was included in our price. Choice of 6 set breakfasts including a Western style and French Toast options if a Japanese breakfast wasn’t desired.

Booked a double but the bed was against the wall so one person had to crawl across or up from the bottom of the bed.

My two teens and I stayed for 10 days in the Rugged Twin. The space was big (for 3) by Japanese standards and the layout well thought out. The shower/bath space was wonderful and a nice way to relax after a long day. The staff were wonderful—kind, accommodating, and quick with English when I could not communicate in Japanese. The area was perfect, lively but also quiet, with plenty of dining options. The proximity to the Akasaka-Mitsuke station was great and made for quick exploring of other parts of Tokyo. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The bed was larger than expected and was super comfortable. The pillows were surprisingly comfortable as well! The shower was the rooms highlight for me. A waterfall style shower head from the roof with GREAT pressure. Tokyo's water was surprisingly soft on your skin and hair as well. The windows were double glazed so the room was super quiet during the days and nights. The staff were extremely helpful and spoke great English and were patient with you if you know some Japanese as well! It was super close to a subway station as well so it made getting around Tokyo easy.

The room lacks a Smart TV. As a tourist who isn't fluent in Japanese, Japan's free-to-air tv is good to watch for a short time but can get old pretty quick. A Smart TV or a TV compatible with AirPlay would be great for tourists who have services like Netflix and want to watch their shows and movies during downtime. The air conditioning was lacking as well. As someone who gets hot easily, I like to have my rooms at a cooler temperature. The rooms AC didn't work well (it was functional but just not good) so we had to open the windows during the day to let the room chill with Japan's winter air. This was fine because we were out and about during the day but if we needed to open it at night, the sounds of Tokyo can be pretty loud.

- Location. You can’t be any more central in Tokyo than here. You can get to pretty much everywhere in a single subway stop using the Akasaka-Mitsuke station - Breakfast. You have the choice between 6 cooked options - perfect for the day ahead of lots of walking - Staff were very nice and polite and helped me with an iron and board when I asked - Peace and quiet. You are away from all the roads here so I didn’t hear traffic noise at all. The rooms are also sound proofed as I didn’t hear any other guests - Very clean - Bed was so good! The linen was like sleeping on a cloud

- Room type is important! My first few days I was in the Superior double room. Fantastic! Lots of space and well proportioned room with a decent bathroom. However when I left the hotel for Osaka and came back for 1 day I got the cheaper normal Double room and the room was small and depressing. The bathroom was tiny and cramped, the bed was significantly smaller. Even for just 1 person it felt uncomfortable. If you’re going to this hotel book the Superior double room (or any other higher graded room)

Within 5 min walk from the metro station and surrounded by many shops (including a 711 in face of it). The staff are friendly and helpful and their WiFi connection works all good.

Not sure whether because my room was set on the 10th floor, the temperature of the water supply was always unstable during my shower time. Anyone bringing a big suitcase should check the room size before booking the room. I brought a 28-inch suitcase with me and was only able to open it at one corner of the room.

I stayed 8 nights. The location of the hotel is great and it feels very quiet as soon as you walk into the hotel. Bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good enough. When one night there were noisy and inconsiderate Chinese guests in the room across mine, staff acted swiftly to correct them.

Language barrier is an issue, even with the fancy translation device at the reception desk. There was a misunderstanding from their side on a topic which was impossible for them to understand somehow, despite translating it in various ways.
