The first and the best hotel during our stay in Japan. It is known that your typical Japanese hotel room is not spacious by European standards, but ours was surprisingly functional. The bed was on the hard side, but it was the same across the country. Most importantly, it was really quiet and extra clean. The close proximity of a convenience store was great, as we would start a day with a smoothie and an egg sandwich. The public bath was the nicest we visited during our trip, the check-in / check-out was smooth and the staff was excellent, accommodating our needs when asked. The location of the hotel turned out to be a wonderful asset: not many crowds, but no shortage of restaurants and shops either, and many, many subway lines to chose from; we had access to the city almost at our doorstep.

The only thing we can think of was… the poor quality of the toilet paper, but that is in no way a reason to lower the perfect score for this fine establishment.

We are a family of four, and this was our first trip to Japan—so every detail truly mattered. Via Inn Prime Akasaka exceeded our expectations, offering outstanding service that made our stay incredibly comfortable. The amenities were excellent, and the staff went above and beyond to personalize our experience. When my son accidentally left his red blanket behind, the hotel promptly arranged to have it shipped to our next destination in Osaka. That thoughtful gesture absolutely made our day. We’re deeply grateful and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on our next visit to Tokyo.

Every thing was perfect

Very good. New facilities are on top of a 7-Eleven and close walk to train station and restaurants. Rooms were clean.

Showers and rooms were small and cramped. There was not much space to open luggage. However, this was expected.

Central location close to several train stations. Lots of places to eat in the area and there is a 7-11 convivence store on the 1st floor of the hotel. There is a convenient work space and self-baggage storage area on the lobby floor. The wifi works well and I was able to do zoom calls and play games over steam with no issues. The onsen area on the 3rd floor was great. Very new, clean, and relaxing. There is shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body scrub towels, hair ties, q-tips, cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and fancy hair dryers available. I especially enjoyed the microbubble pool in the semi-outdoor area. You can use the smart TV in your room to check and see if it's crowded. The hotel also provides lounge wear top and bottom (likely need to be US size L or smaller to fit!), toothbrushes, and tea. The breakfast is buffet style and there are a variety of options to choose from. Drink options include green tea, herb tea, various types of coffee, various type of water, orange juice, milk, and a green smoothie. Food options include breads, soups, rice, curry, veggie based salads, eggs, Japanese style sweets, and 2-3 meat/fish dishes. I really enjoyed the buffet, but one thing to note is that only 1-2 dishes change daily, so it does get a bit boring in terms of choice after a few days. On Sunday there was a line for the buffet as seating was full. Didn't take too long to get inside, but could cause issues for anyone in a rush.

Check in process is done via an electric screen and people from overseas have to scan their passport. The system auto input my address as overseas when I live in Japan and I had to re-start the check in process after getting help from the staff. Would have been much smoother to check in with a person and not a machine. Better soundproofing would also be nice. I was unlucky to hear another guest playing loud music for long periods of time.

Location is perfect as it sits in the heart of Akasaka. While the street it’s situated on gets busy during the evening it’s still relatively quiet compared to Shibuya and Shinjuku. Perfect location if you want a break from the bustling streets of Tokyo! (Gives you the opportunity to experience best of both worlds Tokyo has to offer) especially since we only came back to rest up or sleep! Close to 3 different metro stations (about 5-7min walk) and soo many restaurants and bars around. Also situated right above a 711 which was super convenient.

Room and bed size, however this was expected in Tokyo so it wasn’t a surprise or too much of an issue.

Breakfast was consistently good with a mix of western/japanese food. Looked forward to it every morning. Staff was friendly and professional and helped with all our questions. 7-11 downstairs was perfect for snacks and essentials. Neighborhood was more business than residential, but it felt very safe and quiet around the hotel. Rooms were modest size, but perfectly clean, and the tub was perfect for baths.

The pillows were like rocks, not comfy. We ended up buying our own. Bathroom slightly cramped with not much room between the toilet and the door. Not a huge deal and had a great stay, but worth noting.

This hotel offers fantastic value for money. The large onsen is a standout feature— spacious and clean. Having a 7-Eleven conveniently located in the ground floor was a huge plus. The location is in my opinion one of the best in Tokyo: it’s in a relatively quiet neighborhood but still close to three metro lines, making it easy to get around in the city. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.

Our initial room was on the 15th floor right next to the elevator. We gave it a try the first night, but the noise from the elevator and foot traffic nearby made it hard to sleep. Fortunately, the staff was understanding and quickly moved us to a quieter room for the rest of our stay. The rooms are also on the smaller side, but that’s pretty standard for Tokyo and wasn’t a major issue for us.

The best part for us were the excellent breakfast and the public bath. We enjoyed waking up and heading downstairs for some delicious Japanese-Western breakfast. Think smoothies, pastries, freshly cooked rice, tempura and fish. Look out for the sweet rice balls. In the evening, we usually had a bath - best feeling before going to bed and a unique experience. Very friendly and welcoming staff! We liked the central location with many restaurants. 7/11 downstairs.

As many others wrote, the cushions were uncomfortable. The room layout could be optimized by removing the table and providing more storage space instead.

Very good value for money. Very comfortable rooms, lots of facilities provided, tea, coffee, toiletries. Our hotel was on the 15th floor so the view was spectacular, even if it was only over a business district. The area is well connected by metro and there are lots of restaurants nearby so food options are not a problem. The staff are very nice and the check in process super smooth.

It's not an issue with just this hotel but lots of hotels around Japan. Sometimes, when one relieves their bowels, there is no way of "hiding the evidence" (cleaning the toilet bowl). It's not only unpleasant for us because it's unhygienic, it's also unpleasant for housekeeping and really not something they signed up for. Please consider installing brushes in the bathrooms to spare your staff from having to clean those stains.

The location was great, 5-7 minute walk from a station depending which one you needed. Surrounding streets were filled with everything you need, plenty of shops and restaurants. The most convenient and favourite thing about the stay was the connecting 7/11. Rooms was cleaned daily with fresh towels always provided.

Very small rooms, which I have come to learn is the usual around Tokyo, made it work but couldn’t open a suitcase completely. Bed was comfortable but can’t say as much for the pillows, asked at reception for something by softer and they provided which made for a more pleasant sleep. Bathing room is not tattoo friendly.
