The location was very safe, near to 2 different metro lines and an airport bus drop off! The staff was suuuuper friendly and helpful and the place had this very positive energy in the environment. The room had a great shower and we used the mini fridge all the time to store supplies bought in kombinis/supermarkets (also very abundant in the area). There were 2 massive Manga shelves to be used by customers, which was the cherry at the top of the cake! People can take a few at a time to their room to read, although they were all in Japanese.

The rooms were a bit narrow, but this is only normal in Tokyo, we can’t complain! It was a very comfortable and pleasant stay!

The first thing you should be aware of is that there are THREE Hotel Villa Fontaines within about a 400m area! We unfortunately only got to this one at the third attempt 😂. Still, the weather was nice so we got the chance to have a quick check of the area before we finally found the right one. The area itself is very quiet and residential, very clean and tidy, and plenty of options to get food or supplies nearby. The metro station is also very close (less than a ten minute walk), so really easy to get around. If you are going to use the metro then I would recommend getting a metro/subway travel card. They sell them in either 24, 48 or 72 hour cards, and you can travel as much and as often as you like during the specified period (it activates from the first time you use it). We bought the 48 hour cards (about £6 each) and saved a lot of money by doing so. The hotel itself actually looks like the inside of a prison (the landings are of a prison wing) but in a good way. Bearing in mind that this is Tokyo and space is at a premium, do not be too shocked to find that your room (cell😂😂) is a bit on the small side. Having said that, it still provides you with all the basics. You don’t get anything like tea, coffee or water in your room, but these are all available free of charge downstairs in the lobby. Along with cosmetic products and pyjamas.

Once again - thrilled to stay at our favourite hotel for the sixth time! This is our go to and is very convenient; direct connection to the Hanzomon line which goes to both Shibuya and Skytee, TCat airport terminal is nearby and countless 7 Eleven and Lawsons around. The staff are exceptional and will go out of their way to help - we changed our room on check in with no trouble at all, fantastic service. There are plenty of charging cables we noticed this time that are supplied in rooms, and the breakfast is great - Japanese style and good to start the day.

Probably the only criticism is the dust in rooms. Rooms are nice and clean but the level of dust can be quite bothersome since it quickly accumulates (I suspect it might be product of air con or something). Rooms get a proper clean every 3 days (with bins/towels changed as you like each day) - and that means it can start to get a bit much, especially if you miss a full cleaning day.

The hotel had all advertised facilities, and the room had all advertised amenities. The room was spotlessly clean and, although small, was very comfortable. I liked the simple but high quality breakfast offering. Staff were friendly and very efficient. The hotel was quiet and I slept well.

The only thing I didn't like was the single washing/drying facility in the laundry. I wanted to wash my clothes but it was difficult finding a time to do this as there's only 1 machine in a hotel with 100+ rooms, so it was always in use.

The hotel room was a usual small Tokyo hotel room. It was very clean and cosy and as advertised. We liked staying here and the price was good. Bathroom was nice, staff was very friendly and helpful. There is only one washing machine for the entire hotel, so be prepared to wait for it to be free. There is a subway station near by, several conbinis and the station of the express bus to the airport. That was super convenient, because the trip back to the airport was super easy and fast.

The front desk helped with language barrier in case of a medical emergency. I really appreciate that. The hotel is close to various metro stops and You can get to the city center in 20 minutes.

The cleaning ladies don’t clean even if asked, they just change trash and towels which is not enough in some situations.

A clean, clutter-free, reasonable Tokyo ‘business hotel’. Close to a freeway, but couldn’t hear it at all with window closed. I liked the open atrium in hotel’s center - lots of light and warmth. Good location. Friendly staff. Simple place, but I would stay there again.

Nothing to complain about.

The gentleman who checked us in at the front office was very helpful and cheerful. The location was accessible to trains and subway and was just across the Tokyo City Air Terminal. There was a nearby 7-11 and Lawson where you can buy your daily needs.

It wasn't much of what I didn't like but as expected the rooms are a bit small for two. I think it is the standard size in Tokyo hotels.

The location and the cleanliness.

If you stay at the Annex building, you have to get to the Main building to wash your clothes. Also, the room is small so if you leave your luggage open, there’s no walking space. We’ll have to keep opening and closing luggage.

Staff was amazing, very helpful in every way and the room was small but comfortable at a highly competitive price. Good Japanese breakfast, too!
