The hotel looks gorgeous and is very nicely decorated. The room we stayed in was miniscule but thankfully we were travelling without suitcases. We laughed at the fact that one of the elevators was out of order and we were told there were no immediate plans to fix it any time soon, only for it to be fully functional the next day! We were already aware we couldn't go on the balcony but being able to open the door a little was so nice and we really appreciated the cool breeze. The direct (!) bus connection to the Disney shuttle was a big plus, it's right in front of the hotel. Sure, the hotel is not right next to a subway or metro line, but it's in near walking distance so not an issue at all.

Everything clear and tidy. Just like that Muji hotel, but cost half as much. Great location and nice breakfast buffet.

The fridge are a little bit noisy.

The room and hotel had great design, both in aesthetics and function. It was easy to feel cozy and at home at the end of every day. I loved the bath salts station and had a great time making a new soak for each day. The microwave room (with plates & utensils—so helpful!) was great for when I didn't want to go out to eat. Also loved and made use of what's in the vicinity—2 grocery stores, a lovely very good bakery, and 2 coffee shops. Definitely felt like there was great value staying here compared to other, more generic options. Also the best pajamas from any of the hotels I've stayed at in Japan. Overall it was great—I will stay again!

While the room is beautiful, there was no space to put any of my things 'away' so I never could get fully unpacked or really make it feel like home. Next time I will get a bigger room but there was no availability on my dates this time around. Also not great that breakfast is not available on Mondays & Tuesdays. Lastly, I didn't really enjoy the restaurant Session for dinner.

The room was lovely - comfortable and clean, with great amenities and toiletries and even included provided sleepwear. The room was also spacious, especially by Tokyo standards. The location of the hotel was a 10-15 minute walk to three different train lines and a lot of convenience stores and great food options. The hotel was also located in a quiet neighbourhood of Tokyo, which was a great relief from the business of other areas. We also really appreciated that the hotel included a water refill/microwave station on the 4th floor, along with available amenities to take at the lobby (i.e. toothbrushes, hair ties, etc).

The AC system sometimes would take a long time to cool down, but this was only mildly bothersome since it was hot outside. Generally it was fine!

The layout of the rooms with great natural light into the rooms. The complimentary chocolate was incredible!

A little more variety during breakfast would be awesome

We got the universal room for my partner (a wheelchair user) and it was amazing, huge and (mostly) accessable. Staff were so friendly, housekeeping everyday was nice, great coffee and super nice restraunt downstairs The area really was a quiet oasis after a big day out in the tokyo area, loved the river at night heaps of shops super close to the hotel too

A shower chair would have been nice for someone in a wheelchair, also not sure how someone in a wheelchair would get into bed as you cannot pull up beside the bed to transfer The universal room was a lot more expsensive than the standard rooms but I suppose thats the trade off for such a big room

This hotel is nice and modern and exceptionally clean. Though you never see room service staff around, they clean the room and replace the towels every day, and they make your bed. The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood, approximately 10 minutes from a number of underground stations, on the Shinjuku line, and with direct trains to Haneda Airport. Also a 30-minute walk from Tokyo Central Station, and a 3-minute walk from a 24-hr supermarket, a pharmacy and a convenience store. The hotel offers pyjamas and free toiletries, including bath salts that you can customise for free with your choice of essential oil and flower petals. The hotel restaurant serves delicious Mediterranean food, in a stylish setting.

The semi-double rooms are very small, which didn’t bother us as we only had 2 pieces of hand luggage, but it would be a very tight squeeze for people travelling with hold luggage - you may wish to consider a room upgrade.

The rooms appear to be more spacious than other hotels in Tokyo I have stayed at, location is in what is really a business district so it's relatively quiet. Most rooms have an area on the outside of the building (ours wasn't accessible) planted with greenery which was really pleasant. The in-room drip coffee was probably the best I have had in Japan (exception being an hotel in Osaka which gave us a fully stocked Nespresso machine). If you needed a snack the supermarket across the road was open 24 hours. My daughter loved the build your own bath bomb.

Pillows! Possibly the one area where the hotel fell down was that all you got was the standard Japanese pillow filled with some sort of beads with a covering on one side of wadding. Unless you sleep on your back these are pure torture. While this is also is the norm in many hotels I have stayed at others, some well off the beaten track, which have either provided alternatives in the room or a selection, either at reception or on each floor. Luckily my daughter had brought her own pillow, just in case. Sad to say the breakfast offering was not enticing for me.

Hamacho Hotel truly is a gem in the heart of Tokyo. Surrounded by greenery - with charming plants in front of every window - it offers a serene retreat from the city buzz. The service was exceptional: we were provided with bath salts and essential oils to enjoy a relaxing soak after long days of exploring, and the staff went above and beyond to help us manage our luggage. Amenities were of top quality, from the nice shampoo and co to the adorable pajamas in the room without forgetting to mention the convenient laundry facilities. Breakfast was amazing, they changed the formula since last May and it’s worth noting how good it is now. We’ve stayed here twice, once in the Hollywood room (compact but super functional), and the second time in a corner double room, which stole our hearts with its generous space and beautiful large windows. Honestly, it was hard to leave!

The only minor drawback is that the nearest subway stations are about a 10–15 minute walk away, depending on your destination. But in practice, this gave us the perfect excuse to stop at a konbini or explore little shops on the way, plus, the calm of the area made it all worth it.

Beautiful property, quiet yet lovely neighborhood, combination of residential and offices, with supermarket, conbinis, numerous izakayas and several metro lines within 8-12 min walk. The hotel feels like a proper boutique one, beautiful and tasteful design, super welcoming staff, great amenities. We stayed in semi-double rooms which were very comfortable, even though on a smaller side, but hey - that’s normal for Tokyo so no worries! The only little thing is that there’s no space at all to put the suitcase, no where to keep your clothes, except for 4 hangers.
