Great value for money for Tokyo with easy access to subway system! Akihabara is walkable and you can literally get to all the other main tourist parts of Tokyo with max 1 train change. Take advantage of the cities elite metro system. Bed was comfy, showers warm and all needed amenities provided. It's a capsule so be prepared for a small/cosy sleeping area. I'm 5'8 and was perfect though anyone over 6ft may find it a bit tight. Genuinely a very clean and pleasant space overall. Nothing more than the general noise that I'd expect in any hostel. There is storage space for small luggage for each bed, you just cant fit one of those human sized suitcases some people choose to travel with. Quiet neighbourhood so you can chill and the hostel is an introverts dream, no one said a word to me in 3 days. I genuinely believe the bad reviews set their expectations way too high for a hostel stay tbh, I've stayed in significantly worse. The entrance is down the side street near the Patagonia store, use the elevator or the metal stairs to the right also get you up there. Check in process is easy! Just fill in a short form and then you call them on the ipad. Show your passport and completed form to the camera and you're done (they only have Japanese and English as options for check in)

It is unstaffed bar one person present for a few hours in the afternoon who looked like they were doing staff things and changing beds??? I dunno, he literally didn't say a word. You could probably call the check in ipad if you need assistance? The big garden terrace/balcony on the photos is on the women's floor so hard luck to the men, you can't access it.

It was conveniently located near the train line and close to a lot of businesses. Easy to walk or get where you're going. Very affordable with lots of reading options, as their supply has Manga in Japanese and English. Coin lockers close by, and a laundromat in the area as well; they give good details on where to locate them in the Rules/Welcome guide at the front.

I used the Booking(dot)com App to reserve my spot and the business messaged me rather late (2200) saying they needed immediate payment. So I lost a bit of sleep on that, as I wanted to make sure they got paid and was worried about losing my reservation if it didn't go through. Also, they could have an area to sort and organize luggage; I was kind of embarrassed by having to zip, and unzip my bags while people were around me. Last, please invest in air conditioning, as those bed got HOT at night. The little fan was okay, but I had to keep it next to me while I slept.

Looks exactly as it does in the photos Can leave your luggage from 12pm Good selection of English manga Usual toiletries available Hot showers

The tops of the capsules (not the sleeping spaces) have not been cleaned in a while. Only because people are not supposed to see it, but if you are staying in an upper capsule you might notice. Not the fault of the hotel but some guests were a little noisy, e.g. playing videos without headphones, eating potato chips late at night, letting their alarms ring out. Maybe some notices would help. If you are sensitive to light, bring an eyemask as the lights do not switch off automatically, and I didn't want to be the one to do it. The lights seemed to dim slightly when no one was moving around but that's also distracting when someone comes back and the brightness keeps changing.

The interior is clean and modern, filled to the brim with manga for your reading pleasure. I liked having a safe inside my pod to store my valuables and the showers were really good. Free towels, toothbrushes, ear plugs made the stay so much more convenient. It is located in a nice area, close to Akihabara. Tokyo Station and the Imperial Palace are not far and everything else in Tokyo is easily accessible by train.

There wasn't really staff around aside from the cleaning staff. Check-in is automated, as are a lot of places in Tokyo. So it felt a bit cold and you had no one to ask questions. The cleaning guy did make some awesome suggestions, but like an hour before I was set to leave LOL. I also feel like if they were going to separate guests based on gender, there shouldn't be female staff in the male space. I was in my underwear at one point after a shower going to my bed and was told to put on some pants due to female staff present...I was told nicely but even still, I shouldn't be made to feel like a pervert in a male space where I didn't expect any women around. I doubt they would even allow male staff on the women's floor.

The place felt so cozy! It was clean, comfortable, I had a bed that was well positioned (I recommend the upper ones). I loved the concept and was able to enjoy some great mangas in English. I think it's best as a woman, it was very clean and everyone was quiet and nice. It's perfect for a one night stay (or two), I would definitely come back. Plus, the location is great (walking distance to Jibamcho book town and Akihabara, and very close to Tokyo Station).

There's absolutely no staff. The check-in through Skype is efficient but weird.

First time in a capsule hotel, which we really enjoyed! As female travelers we were much more comfortable staying on a women only floor. There is a keypad to enter the women's dorm, which I think works well if guests remember to firmly shut it. This stay largely involves shared spaces and relies on etiquette to respect each others spaces' and speaking volume, which we had a good experience with. Everyone was pretty nice and kept to themselves. The space was clean and the beds were fairly comfortable for what they were. I thought it was a nice touch that the bunks had dimming options for your individual bunk lights and a privacy curtain. There's also a small patio to read outside and look over the city, which was cute! There's also some lounging chairs to sit outside of your bunk and read.

A little more volumes translated in English would have been nice, but not at all a con to staying here! They had a decent English collection and it was exciting to translate and look at original Japanese volumes. Check-in was slightly confusing with the posted signage, as it involved connecting to a staff member via video for check-in confirmation in the front room to the floor, but we figured it out and got in fairly easily. Storage space under the bunks was decently sized, but we packed minimal luggage (1 carry-on and 1 suitcase each) so definitely keep that in mind.

Convenient check-in, good manga selection (small but good English selection!). Each pod had an dimmable ceiling light, a small fan, and a free outlet (great for charging your electronics). Fantastic bathroom amenities.

More communal space would have been nice. Was disappointed to find out there is no longer a shared lounge floor for opposite genders to hang out together. Be aware that if you choose a top bunk, you may have to search a little for your assigned storage space (for bigger luggage). Unfortunately, I had to take another pod's storage space as someone else's bag was occupying mine.

I loved the selection of manga on the girls floor, I wish I could’ve stayed more to read. The bed was comfy and I had some space under my bed to store my luggage. The location was great, very close to the Kanda JR station or the Ochanomizu JR station, very easy to move around, the Chiyoda neighborhood is very chill and quiet, there are also quite a few restaurants around opened until 22-23. There is a 7-Eleven and Ministop right across the building. There is also a balcony in the room, is very nice to stay there and chill. Towels and amenities are included.

The check in was a made through a tablet but went ok. There were no microwave to warm up things. Maybe for the people who had upper beds was a bit difficult to climb and come down.

It was the closest hostel to the maid cafe. In the morning, the foot traffic of people walking through the Alley to work is worth watching again

The triangular stairs, I had trouble finding the toilet seat, and no on-site staff. Initially it was hard to find cause the entrance is on the side.

The space is very cute. The bed was comfortable and had a good comforter. Showers and bathrooms were all very clean and tidy. Check in was easy and there are many amenities nearby such as Lawson's 7/11 cafe's etc. there are a few subway entrances nearby also.

The hotel is above a live music venue so there was considerable noise in the evening coming from below. There is only a very small are available to eat and so if two others are eating you would need to wait.
