Staff: A. Were friendly as to be expected, held our bags after we checked out because our flight was a bit later and we wanted to explore and shop a bit more. Location: A++. Steps away from Ginza line subway and a short walk to Akihabara Station JR. 7-11 located on the bottom of hotel as well so just love the location Room: B. As to be expected for a Japanese room, actually average to above average in size in those terms but a bit small for more than 2 people. We had a child with us Food: A-. This property is a sister company of the Onyado No-No that we stayed at the other year in Kyoto. Same concept in terms of ofuro, ramen at night, breakfast, and ice cream treets but this place didn’t have the raw fish option for breakfast but I still chowed down on the tempura.
Prices due to occupancy and season were prob a factor here but I feel it should have been a little cheaper given the room type, Ala-carte breakfast, and no room services included.

The location is just perfect, the akiba is right across the street. Public facilities in the hotel are quite nice. The most impressive thing is that the hotel has an open-air bath that you can enjoy anytime(even 2 am) in the heart of Tokyo.
The room is a bit small. There was not much space left after two 28' suitcases opened. If you don't have time to enjoy the public facilities, the price will not have any cost-effective.

Always love staying at Dormy Inns. Love the indoor and outdoor onsens, and love how they have a cold bath too to cool off in after sitting in the hot water. Love the free Yakults in the morning and ice creams at night. There was also free ramen late at night available, though I was never awake that late. The hotel is right next to an entrance for the Ginza line which was super convenient. Keep in mind though that that entrance/exit is only open until 9pm. It opens as 7am and closes at 9pm, so you'll have to use a different entrance/exit for the line outside of those hours. The hotel also arranged luggage forwarding for us easily for the next hotel. Staff were all very nice and helpful.
Not necessarily a negative, but the beds were hard. We like harder beds, so we had no problems passing out at night, especially after long days out.

Loved all the little freebies that Dormy had to offer including: Nightly ramen, ice cream, Bath/Sauna, and the Yakults. Staff were all polite and helpful. We had luggage as well as an order of products shipped here and they were able to accommodate. We asked for a taxi and although it wasn't available, the staff member tried her best. We did have multiple luggage however so they likely ran out of SUV sized vehicles. We ended up taking UBER to the airport. We opted to skip breakfast as 7-11 was downstairs and we just wanted a quick bite. Overall, we had an excellent stay and would highly recommend it to all guests. The internet was always stable.
The only negative would be the lack of a Heated Toilet. The beds were comfortable, but a bit too soft in our opinion. The Women's baths were always empty but the men's were frequently full, but that's no fault of Dormy's.

We stayed in the twin room and it was spacious. Room was designed with functionality and storage in mind. The room is very clean and the ability to check real time vacancy at the onsen and washing machine is a big bonus. Hotel is within less than 10 mins walking distance to 4 different train lines. Free ramen (9:30-11pm), free ice lollies at 12th floor, and free yakult (5-10am). Would stay here again.
Could hear the train but with the window closed, it's not too loud and it stops around midnight. Could not go into the onsen as I have tattoos and it was not allowed. But that did not bother me much.

Great hotel. Amazing breakfast choices, and loved all the little things throughout the day like the free yoghurt drinks and ice cream. The staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds were good. There were so many little details in the room that made the stay really comfortable, like the pajamas & slippers, the deodorizing spray that I used on my jacket after going out to a bar in the evening, the free water they kept providing in the fridge, ... Best of all of course was the onsen to relax sore muscles in every night after running through town. It had an indoor and outdoor part, a sauna, and a cold plunge. They were fine with a small tattoo as long as it is covered with a sticker in the onsen area (which they provided). Free washing machine was good to have too. The location of the hotel is super convenient with several different subway line stops that are less than 10 minutes walk away. Centrally located you can reach the different parts of Tokyo to visit quickly and easily. Transfer from airport via train and subway was easy too, even with a big suitcase.
The only two things that could have been better is the pillow are somewhat thick and hard for me as a European, and it would have been nice if there were a thinner pillow option. Also there is some noise if you do open the windows since the hotel is located next to a street and train tracks. Surprisingly though, the noise was dimmed quite a bit if the window was closed.

Very spacious! This was the largest that we've stayed at in Japan besides our Ryoukan. The staff were friendly and helpful and our luggage was forwarded straight to our room! We were on L9 and had an amazing view of the trains tracking between the buildings. It was a short stroll to Akihabara and also literally 2 mins from the Ginza line. Loved the free ramen too.
A bit loud as we had to open the window to cool down the room, but to be expected for Japan at this time with the central heating on. Room was a bit dated but relatively clean. The only thing that was disappointing were the robes provided. A weird loop over.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Even if you don’t speak Japanese fluently, they are patient and they do have a translator app on their check-in tablets so they will do their best to accommodate you. The onsen facility combined with free ramen/popsicles/yakult drinks is great after a long day of sightseeing. Location was perfect: 5-10 min walk to Akihabara and Kanda stations, and there is a laundromat within walking distance if the hotel’s laundry machines (washers are complimentary, dryers are not free but they are still very cheap) are all occupied.
The pillows were a little mushy and not as firm. A foldable luggage rack would be helpful because I’ve often see those at other hotel chains similar to Dormy Inn

Location of hotel just steps away from elevator serviced exit 6 of Kanda Sta - Ginza Line Metro. Exit 6 closes early at approximately 7p on weekdays and 9p on weekends. Kanda Station also has JR service. In addition, the hotel is easy walking distance to Awajicho Metro, Ogawamachi Subway and Akihabara Stations so access to a wide range of Lines of transportation is extremely convenient. 7-11 is adjacent to hotel at street level and Family Mart a few hundred feet away. There are many dining options in the neighborhood including a yokocho on the street behind the hotel.
My personal preference is to be in closer proximity to Tokyo Station or Ginza, so this Kanda location was just a bit outside of my "perfect place".

Even though I barely stayed in this location for a night, it was extremely wonderful and I wish I had stayed for a bit longer to use everything they had to offer. The facilities are nice. They offered ethernet (hardwired internet) in the room, gave me a small welcome snack and bottle of water in the fridge when I arrived to my room, held all my luggage safely at the desk on a cart before and after my official stay time when I was out exploring, and even put it up in my room prior to my late arrival for the night. The view from my room on the 12th floor was pretty decent, as it let me look over the city and a little bit of Akihabara. The location is also amazing for it, as it is near the meatiest part of Akihabara. It also had a luggage store nearby that was an extreme relief for those who bought a lot more than what he intended on the trip and needed to haul it all back home because he forgot to stop by a post office.
Just wish I had used everything they had to offer with what I paid. They offered so much that I feel exceeded the value of what it had cost me monetarily. The room was a little bit cramped, but I still managed to make it work for myself.
