Trust the pictures not the details, I booked thinking i was getting a pool view since it was mentioned in the details of my room but when I asked the manager, He showed me pictures of my room through booking.com and He said I should have checked the pictures not the details of the room and another thing is that the paying on arrival, you will pay according to their rate, I went to exchange, 1$=145 Ksh and when I paid the manager said 1$ = 148 Ksh, anyway I had good time there

Swimming pool was lovely

It's not actually "beachfront" but the beach isn't far

The staff are good and friendly. The room was ok, so was the internet. They have a swimming pool too. The hot water was not working, so they took me to another room for shower. It is secured with a gate and security guards at night.

There is no reception and they answer your questiins on Whatsapp. Ibwouldn't recommend the rooms with the common toilet. The washroom is outside a few steps from the room but kind of 'open' and when it rains it's not very comfortable as the wash basin is outside not with a cover. The whole place has a feeling of a campsite, not for me, even though it might be interesting for others. In the map it's very close to the beach and a walking distance from the restaurants, but you have to walk through an alley with a dead end to the hotel. A bit dark in the evening. Even though the area is safe, you have to take a taxi in the evenings.

I liked the calmness of the place. The room was squeaky clean, staff very friendly. They clean your room and change bedding and towels diligently every day. They really exceeded my expectations. Also, the kitchen facilities pots, cutlery, stove very clean! You have everything you need to feel at home, fridge microwave and toaster. All super clean! There's a fan too! Also, the bed was very comfortable. I stayed for a good 10 nights, no backache whatsoever!

The fact that the description of the rooms on booking.com is not accurate. I would advise people to contact the lodge directly and enquire if the room has a private or shared bathroom, very important! When I arrived late in the night I was directed to a room with a private bathroom which was according to the description I had booked but in the morning I was told that the room I had been allocated was not the one I booked and if I wanted to maintain the room I should pay a top up. I paid up despite having shown them the description on the confirmation on booking.com Other than that, I was happy to stay at Tradewinds. Indeed it is home away from home!

I would like to warmly congratulate the owners for their great care and attention to the property, as well as the amazing staff (Bruno, Kennedy, Jordan, and the two ladies) who work tirelessly to ensure every guest feels welcomed and satisfied. The hotel offers excellent value for money and is perfectly located just a 5-minute walk from the beach. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with lush greenery and playful monkeys adding a unique charm. The swimming pool is delightful, and the entire place feels like a little paradise tucked away in Diani Beach. Highly recommended!

It was self catering and the kitchen facilities made this easy. It is about a 7 minute walk to the beach and while you cannot see the beach from the place of stay, it is close enough that you can hear it. The staff were very friendly and helpful and took very good care of us. They even gave us a comfortable room to stay in, as we had to check out of our original room, but flight was a few hours later. Really appreciated that!

My husband and I are extremely pleased with our two-week stay at the Tradewings resort! Tradewings is a friendly, well-kept place in a great location (200 meters from a beautiful beach). The guesthouse is simple but very clean and functional, our room was cleaned every day and the guesthouse employees were very friendly and willing to help in organizing our daily activities. It is a perfect place for families with children, couples and people traveling alone. The beautiful garden and swimming pool stole our hearts. 10/10 for us!

The place is simple, but it was clean. And comfortable enough to have a good rest overnight. This time, I didn't have time during the day to spend there, but the swimming pool looks great. I enjoyed the beach very much, which has access 3-5 minutes of walking from the property.

There's no AC, so in hot seasons with extreme temperatures, it may not be comfortable to stay. The fan was enough for me this time (I like hot weather, though, it was 30°C during the day, on average). But the description of facilities is detailed.

be sure to pay extra for the deluxe apartment!!! it is right by the pool. it's huge! standard apartment - really basic, small basic room. Super approach Dominika! The sea is a 5-minute walk away, but great. many restaurants. department store 15 minutes on foot. The best accommodation we had in Kenya.
