A pretty typical downtown mid-priced US hotel - modern, clean and spacious. We had a good sleep and there was little noise from traffic or other rooms or corridors. The room was a good size, with a large comfortable bed and was bright and clean if blandly decorated. The bathroom was modern and large. Breakfast was the regular forgettable chain hotel fare. An easy walk into the downtown in a safe-feeling area. The value for money wasn't bad.

It didn't start well! My train to Salt Lake City was really late (it should have arrived at 11pm but in the end arrived at 6am). So over several hours I sent the hotel reception several emails telling them I would be very late and each time they replied that it would be no problem. However, on arriving they had logged me as a 'no show' and canceled my room. Fortunately, they had spare rooms and so rebooking wasn't an issue (although it could have been!). I was somewhat annoyed. Otherwise the hotel was fine if bland and forgettable.

This property was in the perfect location for my genealogy conference, just a quick walk from the Salt Palace Convention Center and the FamilySearch Library. (That the hotel provides a free & delicious breakfast buffet every morning was a very nice touch - especially as they had gluten-free options!)

If there was one thing I *had* to pick on? The fact that it was a little confusing as to what the “Green Option” for housekeeping meant. There were times I’d put the tag on my door at night to indicate that I didn’t need them to clean the room the next day & they’d still clean it - garbage emptied, bed made & fresh towels placed. (But, honestly, it’s minor & I guess they have to err on the side of caution.)

It was very clean and spacious. Beds were very comfortable.

It is $20 a night to park but parking is very limited. We returned from the football game and there were no parking spaces available. I went to the front desk and was told I could park down the street at a different parking lot and they also charged. They said they would not charge me for the one night. It was after midnight and we didn’t feel safe walking from down the block. Luckily the front counter person was kind enough to move his car and he had a handicap parking permit and made bed his car to that space.

Breakfast was great! Lots of choices! The location is wonderful, as it is in walking distance of so many sites. The staff was also friendly. When checking in, they asked if we wanted a higher floor for a better view. I called the night before to inquire about early check in, and we we arrived, the woman at the desk remembered me, referenced our discussion and had a room ready for us!

We paid for parking but their lot isn't that big. We went out one evening, and when we returned, there were only 3 spots left. (We returned at 9:00- so not super late.) By the time we parked, ALL slots were taken. As we went through the entrance, there were 3 groups to check in, all with cars. If they paid to park, there were no places for them.

Staff was amazing! Chavonne and Sydney were so friendly and helpful. I was provided a map of the area and a list of food recs. Breakfast was very good with many options to choose from. Location is walking distance to many shops and restaurants, and room was very clean and maintained. Especially loved all the Dove products in the restroom.

Parking garage needs an elevator or ramp from 1st floor. You have to drag/carry luggage over small set of stairs.

We were very disappoint at front desk staff. We arrived late (We suppose to check in on Saturday, but due to the traffic we called the hotel and let the staff know that we will check in late around 5-6 am next day late. To make it short we checked in 6 am the next day). When we walk in the lady at the front desk doesn't greet us, the first thing she said to us "We need to charge you $75.00 for check in early". Which is made us very disappointed so we explained our situation and asked her since we check in at 6am can we check out a bit late like 1 or 2 pm, and she answered "I don't know you have to call us around 7 or 8 am then we will let you know". We were tired and disappointed with her attitude, so we checked out at 10am.

The place is very convenient because it is next to the convention center in Utah, the breakfast is great, and it is very close to the mall and also has a lot of restaurants close to the restaurant. The staff is also very friendly and helpful.

This is my second time staying at the hotel. The first time they gave me a room on the top floor with a spectacular view and the price of the room was very reasonable but unfortunately this time they gave me a room that was too noisy, it was next to the elevator and You could hear everyone going down and up, in addition to that, the view overlooking the road, which is not pleasant at all. To top it all off there was construction all week, coming from the city of NJ the least I want is to be hearing noises especially when you pay a lot of money to stay in a hotel. On the other hand, the cost of the hotel was much higher than the first time, which considering the construction, they should have given customers a discount for the inconvenience or at least better rooms.

Beds were very comfortable and I love that each one comes with multiple pillows to choose from, all of which were full and not worn down feeling. The staff was helpful and kind. Our room was extremely clean. Extremely convenient location, so many restaurants and stores within walking distance. We’ve had some pretty bad hotel experiences lately so staying here was a breath of fresh air. I honestly can’t say a bad thing about it. I appreciate that parking was in a secure garage, too.

We often time stay at this hotel when we are in town for a convention. The hotel is conveniently located across the street from the Salt Lake City Convention Center. Staff are always very kind and welcoming, breakfast is adequate, rooms are clean, beds and pillows very very comfortable. Anyone looking to stay in this beautiful city should stay here.

I wish they would use porcelain plates and porcelain cups for their breakfast.
