Reception staff, cafeteria staff and breakfast staff were all excellent, very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices.Our room was a good size, the bathroom was exceptional with a shower over the bath, a separate shower, a separate toilet and bidet and double sinks.

This was not a 5*hotel. Much of the crockery, ie plates and cups we used had chips in them. The 2 chairs in our room were very bad quality. The armchair had the corners of the arms torn. The 2nd chair was nothing more than a very old fashioned kitchen chair. Much of our bedroom furniture was very tired. Because the floor was tiled it did not look particularly clean and was dusty.

Great setting on the hill looking towards Toledo’s historic old town. Interesting building converted from a cigar factory. Decoration was in keeping with an elegant Spanish style. Staff were friendly and had more English than we had Spanish. We had a dog friendly room that led out on to a patio and the gardens. The room was spacious with a large bed. Bathroom was well set up with two basins and a separate shower and bath. Shower gel, body cream, shampoo etc all provided. Heating worked well - it was minus 2 degrees at 9am in the morning. Good meal in the evening with lovely wine at a very reasonable price. We are happy to return on our way back to the Uk.

The building and it's position is fabulous

No toiletries supl,ied, not even a satchel of shampoo, nothing. Toilet rolls were half used and so ran out. The Hotel is dog friendly but nothing is provided for your dog, and understandably dogs are not allowed inside tye restraints or Cafeteria but to then exclude them and you from the outside seating areas is a problem. The only area we could eat at were two high level tables with tall chairs which we struggled with as older clients. Surely it's mot beyond tye wit of the management to cordon off two or three ordinary dining tables ? To then be billed on check out for €1734 sI had apparently eaten 108 dinners the previous evening in a restaurant I was banned from took tye biscuit. Shame it could be much better.

Fantastic location with priceless view of the old city. Completely isolated hotel, quiet and surrounded by nature. Breakfast was average. Large rooms with a large bathroom (with separate tub and shower). Friendly and helpful staff.

Nice architecture, but not very functional, to reach the rooms you have to go down 2 flights of stairs and with luggage it is not always easy. The furniture is a bit dated, the hotel needs some renovation. In our room the air conditioning did not work very well, but at check out the receptionist told us that they could also adjust the operation from the computer: too bad we did not report it in time.

The view was perfect. The newer brutalist style add on to the old cigaral was nicely done. The glass extension connected the old with the new seamlessly. Reception staff were exemplary. Location amazing. Gardens and sculptures were wonderful. In summer heat a taxi is recommended rather than trying to walk into or out of Toledo.

Cafeteria and restaurant were a bit confusing as they were in the same area and terrace so no one was really sure where one should sit. Food was average considering it was a 5 star and we had a feeling the 2 waiters were either not so happy with their job or were just happier serving the restaurant customers as opposed to the cafeteria customers. Lift area needs looking at for cleanliness. Having said all that, I would happily stay again next time I'm passing.

Good room with nice view of Toledo. Free parking. Excellent breakfast. Good rate, we would stay again.

Hotel felt a bit empty & unwelcoming.... Stark! Maybe due to long corridors & lack of communal spaces, & our room being about as far from reception as was possible! No porterage offered & unavoidable stairs. The pool, though nice, was the far side of the car park & up a lot of steps. The bar facilities at the pool were closed at the time we were there, in fact we saw no staff anywhere near the pool.

This was a stop over travel for the night. The hotel was great & would definitely recommend. As we were travelling with 2 dogs they were made to feel welcome although limited access around the hotel, but there were some excellent walks to take the dogs. Very close to the city to have a walk around. The restaurant was lovely & the staff very attentive.

Not a big issue but would have been nice to allow the dogs on the outdoor terrace while we had a drink.

Because of its location

Breakfast was really awful. My partner ordered coffee and had to leave it untouched. I asked for tea and a cheap Pampadour brand of tea was all the gave me in a teacup containing lukewarm water. An establishment of that calibre should at least have teapots. So yes, breakfast was heavily disappointing!

Wonderful Room and location on the hill overlooking the city. Restaurant food very good. Restaurant and bar staff also very good. A mostly pleasant experience

A built on a hill so reception at the top of hill and our room at the bottom. A trek involving a long walk and 2 lifts to get ourselves and our luggage to room. Later discovered another car park at the bottom of the hotel (it was a little hidden) so loading when leaving only involved a ramp and a shorter walk. The could have told us.

they don't serve cocktails in the bar. lunch in the restaurant wasn't the best, especially BURRATA, it was out of date, super old. how could you serve that ?? our mistake was to not tell them on the spot
