The location couldn’t be better. One street off the waterfront so it is very quiet, and the monks walk by every morning so you can see the traditional alms giving ceremony from your balcony. Some of the best restaurants are also just a block away too, both high end fusion and authentic affordable Lao eateries. This historic area is way more attractive than the busy center, and the locals do their evening stroll and exercises between here and the confluence of the two rivers. Lotus Garden serves REALLY good food too, if you like a clean fresh flavour and elegant presentation. Their buddha bowl and summer rolls were outstanding at lunch, the mango sticky rice and traditional Lao rice soup were great at breakfast. Not to mention the fruit shakes! We stayed in both the double and twin rooms, and found them to be clean with comfortably firm mattresses, good bed linen, air con, an inner courtyard view, and excellent for a quiet night’s sleep. This is a newly managed property as of September 2023 and it is really clear that the owner and staff are putting all their efforts into making this place wonderful. The manager really left us with the best possible impression of Laos - caring, friendly, effortlessly handling questions, issues, providing free drinking water, and organizing transport. He even went so far to ensure a positive guest experience by stepping in to negotiate and tell off a lady at the alms giving ceremony who was uncharitably trying to charge more than advertised for the sticky rice that is given to the monks!

A bit hard to criticize a property when they are new and making so much effort to succeed. Perhaps for those who don’t want aircon, and option for a fan could be an improvement.

We really liked the friendly staff and Camille was an exceptional host! We felt right at home. Very beautiful area of the old city, gorgeous historical architecture, cozy and comfortable rooms.

The mattress on my bed had seen better days & was uncomfortable. They don't tell you on Booking.com webpage that breakfast is served at another location. This was not an ideal location as there were many steps & we had informed the owner one of our party was in a wheelchair. We asked for a refund for the breakfast but was told this was too difficult to arrange. In the end the owner of the restaurant where breakfast is served put a table on the street so our daughter could eat breakfast with us. So we found a workaround.

I liked my room. Friendly staff. Good shower and airco, comfortable bed and clean. I walked a lot, so nice. LP is pritty with many fantastic cafés and restaurants and temples. Dont miss out on cat café and the great Garavek storytelling and the other side of the Mekong. That ferry is great.

The Chinese groups under your window at 5.15 am..... hotel can not help it, but the guide of these groups should do the briefing of how to give the alms to the monks at their hotel. Best experience is to stay silent the whole time! The Chinese groups are a plaque through LP (and Laos) and not in a positive way. They are rude, loud and disrespectful towards locals and the temples and me. They also throw their garbage on the ground... Time also for the locals to speak up. You dont have to tolerate this kind of inmature and unfriendly behavior. Point it out because otherwise they will continue. Its like you have to learn them how to behave as you learn a child of 2 years old. Horrible anti social behavior.

Amazing hospitality, friendly and helpful staff, great location, delicious breakfast. I can say only good things about this place. I am coming back for sure!

The people (the owner, the staffs) are all very nice and helpful. The location is very close to main attractions, but also not in a busy area, so I can still enjoy a quiet nice sleep 😊

The staff and the owner were very friendly. Breakfast is a yummy fruit platter and they were kind enough to make the famous mango and sticky rice one morning :) location is great!
