I had the riverside balcony room and the views of the Mekong, and the people watching, were brilliant. Excellent location with good selection of riverside cafes where you can watch the sunset while having dinner. Staff were great: spoke excellent English and gave good travel advice. I loved the bathtub! Sustainable toiletries. Given the location, views and bathtub it was very good value for money.

The tv didn't work. The water was provided in plastic bottles. No bedside reading lamps.

I loved the hotel location just across the street from the River, and all the restaurants there. I loved that the breakfast was served at a restaurant overlooking the river. The reception staff were great and the communication from the hotel from the time of booking to arrival was superb. I also liked the wooden decor in the room. I extended my stay by a day there.

The only thing that wasn't great was the view from the room, but this is outside the control of the hotel. There is a half-demolished building just in front of the hotel which is a bit of an eyesore. Hopefully in the near future this will be completely torn down and the rubble removed. But if and when they build a new building on this site, it will likely block any view my hotel room had of the river.

The staff was responsive to every request. They helped arrange transportation to the train station and helped with a car rental. The location is convenient to great restaurants, whether on Main St or along the rivers. The room was spacious, and the bathroom offered both tub and shower.

Villa Phonethip is a guesthouse which is located nearby the Mekong River and it is surrounded by many tourist sites where you can just walk to and explore it. This guest House is very lovely and clean. The staff speak english quite well, lovely, and friendly. He helped us order the transportation to everywhere. He recommend tourist sites for us. I will definitely come and stay at this 🥰 gorgeous villa whenever I come to Luangprabang. High recommend to stay here.

Despite being just steps from the night market and riverside eateries, the villa’s lush garden blocks out any noise. My evening river-view dinner was peacefully tranquil. Rooms are sound-proofed, airy, and impeccably clean. Every staff member greeted me warmly throughout my stay. An ideal mix of convenience and serenity.

Our family of twelve needed four rooms for a three-night stay, and we found this affordable guesthouse to be perfect. It’s in a great location, and the front desk staff is very knowledgeable and always willing to meet your needs. My favorite hidden gem in Luang Prabang is the Nam Khan neighborhood.

Celebrating our anniversary. The restaurant’s fusion menu (Laotian spices with Western flair) blew us away. Our suite’s bathtub had a picture-perfect view of the river at sunset. Staff went above and beyond with champagne—an unforgettable experience. A romantic’s dream come true.

The breakfast is down the road at another Cafe and was pretty ordinary. We skipped it after the first day.

The receptionist Souk is super nice and helpful, he helped take my motorbike into the lobby every night and take it out side early morning. The room is very large with big room. It is clean. Everything is perfect, I will definitely stay at this hotel when I come back to Luangprabang

great location facing the Mekong river, which is perfect to visit Wat Xieng and enjoy the light festival. Very spacious and clean rooms. It's nice to have breakfast on a terrace overlooking the mekong (3 minutes walking from the guest house)
