Excellent location as it’s off the noisy walking streets but close enough for walking. Great balcony views of the Mekong River. Staff is exceptional and went out of their way to help with everything. Good communication via booking site prior to arrival. Breakfast is plentiful and tasty. Our stay came with a free sunset cruise and the hotel allowed us to store luggage when we went on an overnight trip and returned to the same room. They arranged an afternoon river cruise to the caves and will help with any requests. Room is old colonial style like most in LP but modern enough to be comfortable. Bed is large and comfy. Shower is excellent.

The main floor is a bit cramped in our room but didn’t take away from anything.

The hotel is in the best part of the town, easy to reach everyhing and has an amazing terace on the bank of river Mekong. You can wach the sunsets every evening. The restaurant is very good as well, we dined only in the hotel, because it was the best place to do it. Good prices, good food, amazing views, fiendly staff. The room was very nice too, very comfy bed and pillows. The hotel gives lots of extra, for example we had a complimentary sunset river cruise, full mini bar, fruits in the room, bikes and sweets before night was a nice touch. Lots of recommendation for places to visit, restaurants, spa etc.

Maybe the shower a little bit outdated. But it is a small thing compare to all goodness you get.

All you could ask for in a boutique hotel. In my opinion they are located in the best location in Luang Prabang. Amenities include a sunset cruise with a glass of wine, bikes/ e-bikes, and breakfast at their great riverside cafe. A la carte and can order as much as you like. Very high quality food. The staff were incredibly helpful in arranging tours and rides. Including a private car to Nong Khiaw. We had a balcony maisonette room which is very stylish with a great balcony view of the river and relatively quiet/low-volume street below. Only caution is not a good room for those with any mobility issues since bed is on upper floor and bathroom on the lower.

This was an absolutely beautiful place to stay, with large, spacious rooms and a fabulous breakfast on the terrace overlooking the river. Staff were super helpful and were always on hand to answer questions and help with arrangements - we organised drivers and tours through the hotel and nothing was too much trouble for them. It was one of the pricier places that we stayed on our travels but we weren't disappointed and it was the perfect place to relax and an excellent location for exploring the town.

We loved everything about this hotel. Location is a 10. Close enough to main part of town but just far enough for peace and quiet. Our river view room was the nicest place we stayed in our two weeks in Vietnam. Large window and balcony with views of the colorful boats parading along the river all day and night. Really large bathroom also. The staff were all so lovely and kind and helpful. Aimee was so sweet to us. In a way I felt like she was looking after us. The rooftop pool and bar were just as beautiful as the photos. The size of this boutique hotel was perfect. Oh and the free bikes were so great.

Location is great -- really close to the key parts of town, and lovely having breakfast on the river. Service is excellent -- from lending us bikes to finding a power adapter when we needed it, everything was made easy and staff were excellent. There's also a great guide in the room with tips on what to do, how to get there etc, and an unexpected free sunset cruise, which was lovely.

- shower had quite low water pressure, which was frustrating (nice and hot though!) - rooms open onto the road, which is great for feeling in the thick of it, but you can hear some noise from the road in the mornings.

This is our second trip to Luang Prabang and The Belle Rive. It is a beautiful hotel with charming and comfortable rooms facing the Mekong River. They have a lovely terraced restaurant across the street where you have breakfast, It also serves food and drinks throughout the day and evening. The hotel have added a new area for relaxing below the restaurant. This features loungers and shaded areas where you can relax and chill. The staff are excellent and extremely helpful if you need anything booked or arranged such as excursions, taxis etc. The hotel offers a daily sunset cruise for free and when we went it was just our family on the boat! We love this hotel and highly recommend it.

It is a busy area as many of the riverboat cruises leave from this location and along this particular road. We noticed that is has become much busier since we visited this city several years ago. There are also some noisy Karaoke boats cruising up and down the river which does detract from the peacefulness. This is a great shame and we were surprised that it is allowed so early in the day. It's a definite negative but nothing to do with the hotel itself.

the front desk, Somphone was very helpful and kind in arranging all our activities with the hotel - like the caves and waterfall which was WAY cheaper than booking.com. Somphone recommended we do the 2 hr private boat ride to the cave vs the 1 hr van ride and wow, doesn’t even quite hit the mark. the cruise itself was a excursion all on its own. we saw fish farm, people washing their clothes in the river and the natural beauty of both mountains sandwiched us as we went down the river was the best experience. the other excursion Somphone arranged was to the waterfalls-when you get to the fall, there is 542 steps leading to the top of the waterfall was well worth it and zip lining was an added bonus. the hotel itself is really nice. we stayed in coconut 3 which is a 2 bedroom suite with a balcony overlooking the mekong river. we enjoyed luang prabang so much we decided to stay 1 more night but unfortunately the room we were in was already booked but Somphone took care of us again and set us up in the 2 story room overlooking the mekong river as well. and it also had a terrace balcony. both rooms, as long as it had the view of the mekong river is breathtaking.

there were vans and vans of chinese tourist that were dropped off in the morning and at night and when this happened- they were extremely LOUD, and when i say LOUD, they were YELLING and showed lack of respect for the people around them. It would have been nice for someone to teach them a little etiquette and let them know to keep their voices down. but none-the-less, the hotel with its view of the mekong river on your terrace made us book another night

The place looks just like the pictures posted, near almost all the activities one would wish to do in Luang Prabang. The staff are professional, warm and very helpful especially Sompo and Khai at reception. They organized most of my tours and had good rates and recommendations. The place is near the lane where Alms are given so it’s convenient, got a complimentary sunset cruise on day 1 with a glass of wine. The mini bar drinks are also complimentary and my room was huge with a sitting area with different fruit bowls. Most comfortable bed and pillow. Would stay here again if I visited Luang

Nothing, everything was great.

Great location overlooking the Mekong River and only a few minutes walk to the main street in Luang Prabang. We had a balcony room (Tamarind 1), it was so lovely to be able to sit and watch the street and river life action. Breakfast is at their restaurant which is directly over the road and right on the Mekong, great breakfast menu and the staff were always ready and waiting to take our order. Every day the glass water bottles that were supplied were refilled, cutting down on plastic bottles, such a great environmental initiative! Would definitely stay again 😊

Hard to fault really but one thing is that the room didn’t get super dark even with all the blinds and shutters closed. Wasn’t really a problem for us, we still slept well, but would have preferred more of a block out situation.
