The hotel is in a beautiful building. Breakfast is unusual as it is served as a 3 course menu, but this does take time. Room was quirky - bar and restaurant is moved outside during the summer so they must expect good weather most of the time. It only takes 15 mins by car to get to the centre

The muzak! Luckily we were only there 2 nights as I started to feel like I was in a demented holiday camp. They turned the muzak (and I mean muzak not music) on at 8am when they began breakfast. To make it worse you couldn't hear it properly in the room because of the thick walls so it was just a racket. So basically you couldn't have a lie-in on your holiday. It then continually played until 10am. If they want ambient sound in the hotel they should restrict it to reception and the dining room itself. Also be aware it is a wedding venue so avoid weekends if possible

The food at the restaurant and the staff were amazing. I highly recommend dining at the facilities because they offer an excellent menu. The dining experience at the restaurant was truly exceptional. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, showcasing a diverse and enticing menu that catered to a variety of tastes. The staff were attentive and friendly, making sure every need was met with a smile. I highly recommend indulging in a meal at this establishment; it's a culinary delight you won't want to miss.

This place is incredible! The discovery of the year in Lithuania. An authentic, beautifully restored building that carries the spirit of its time. The room decor takes you back several centuries, yet the bathrooms and bedding are impeccably clean and fresh. When coming here, don’t expect a typical four-star hotel room. The windows have shutters, the rooms are dimly lit, there are spiral staircases and low beams… but it’s precisely this atmosphere that impresses, shocks, and enchants. 10 out of 10!

Hotel staff were exceptional

We had two different rooms and in both, water was leaking badly from shower cabins to the bathroom floor. As well, in the breakfast restaurant, waiter left us sitting at a table with a soaked table cloth until we asked to be moved, even though it was known to him, that our toddler spilled all of his orange juice on the table and we used all the possible napkins to dry it up.

Fabulous location; right by the beach, the monastery and on the edge of woodland. Beautiful walks on the doorstep. Superb on site restaurant serving Michelin Star quality food. Sublime breakfast, freshly prepared to order. Hotel is spotlessly clean. Attentive and friendly staff.

Rooms are a little basic and have a ‘monastic’ feel. Top floor rooms are very dark, only having the smallest of windows letting in very little light. We stayed when the weather was wonderful and we were able to take full advantage of the glorious location and the proximity to local Seasonal activities (beach bars, jet skiing, sailing etc. There are however very limited amenities at the hotel should the weather be not so clement.

Amazing 6-course meal with paired wines, absolutely delicious breakfast, new air conditioning in the room(not as loud as 3 yeats ago).

This is not the fault of the property, but perhaps something could be initiated - speed bumps and/or radars to slow down the speed freaks who race past the property late in the evening and create lots of noise - and make it scary to cross the street during an evening walk 😖

Overall ambience was exquisite. It is not often that you can stay in 17-century baroque style lavish monastery complex by Italian architects in the Baltics. The mediaeval guesthouse is converted to a hotel with first floor ceilings at about 5m high. Luxury rooms have big high-standing windows and internal 2nd floor is added inside these rooms to have the bedroom on a terrace. Standard rooms are in the attick with a low corridor leading to to rooms with tiniest windows in the roof. The breakfast was served a la carte and was really delicious.

Really, no complaints. Not sure how the hotel premises suit the disabled persons as there were a few steep wooden staircases with no alternative.

Very cozy and comfortable room. Liked that sleeping area was upstairs. Rooms had names not numbers on it. Beautiful interior. Super helpful staff. Super smooth body wash and lotion gel. Breakfast was amazing. Defenetly will visit again. Location was great. Restaurant defenetly worth visiting. Professional waiters and absolutely tasty food even for children.

Only thing that will come to mind is the extra bed made out of couch, this was okay for a child, but for an adult to sleep in there, way too bumpy ride for a all night.

Extraordinary surroundings, beautiful park around, very unusual place. Comfy beds in tiny cell-like rooms. Breakfast a la carte makes an exquisite topping to this cake :)

We did not mind at all, but someone claustrophobic may find the tiny first-floor windows uncomfortable. And the spiral staircase is quite steep. Also - shame the guests are not admitted to the courtyard.

exceptional & unusual location (17th century monastery) surrounded by pristine pine forest & lake. very comfortable rooms, Michelin restaurant, great service. Nearby is a lake beach + a couple of kids playgrounds. Close to the city (yet you don't feel that) + additional attractions for kids like a superb renovated zoo in Kaunas and deer reserve

beds are a bit stiff
