Initially I booked a trendy apartment. After second thought I changed to art villa because of the green setting. It feel like a home and i wanted a relax environment . I had limited conversation with Mr Tan and wife. But they appeared to be very kind and humble person. As I was reaching late. Mr Tan take the effort to made a video specially for me to guide me on self check-in which it included the direction to my room clearly. Not only that he actually show me where to park and got us the nearest parking spot . I was super touched with his kindness .. As u can see the room is spacious and bathroom is big. Heater is hot though we no need hot water as weather is hot up there. The aircond was cold. Room was clean By the way near by got a mall (I think the name is ABC) And his wife also do provide some home cook Thai food. U need to book in advance for her to check the ingredient.

The location of the property is quite convenient. It’s in a quiet side road not too far from the city centre. There’s a shopping mall (Ampang Business Centre) in very short walking distance with a supermarket, convenience stores, a coin laundry and several restaurants. And there’s also a food court on the opposite side of the mall and a McDonald’s only two minutes further in the other direction. The room and the bathroom were quite spacious and spotlessly clean, the towels were brilliant white. The mattress was rather soft and very comfortable. AC worked fine at all times. The hotel was nicely decorated and the owners were very kind. They organised a transport to Padang Besar for me and helped me out with a charger, as I didn’t have any UK plug with me. Last but not least, I could safely store my bicycle behind an automatic gate. Would definitely return if in Alor Setar again.

There's a sign that you are not allowed to eat inside the room. That's quite weird, never seen something like this in hundreds of hotels I've stayed at.

It is vv clean n comfaortable . The host is very friendly five star for the hospitality. It has a wide range of art n crafts collections. We have the host Mr Tan to show us around. Vv knowlegeable tour. Thanks. Expecially nature n art lovers ,Dont miss this .The Art Villa if you travel north

We met the worst flood of Kedah in certain areas. But not a big problem. We miss the o nyonya laksa as it was closed without notice. N the pau near the Masjid oooo it was closed also. Not a good idea to go up the Menara on this weather.q

The owners are always available and prepared to help. The place is very quiet with many private places. The common areas are nice to spend some time. Going out of the hotel is not necessary, except when you want to have e.g. full dinner. However, that is possible in the mall across the street.

Tan and Pim are very lovely couple. We had excellent Thai meals for dinner cooked by Pim. The place is perfect for getaway from bustling city and hectic lifestyle.

All good but would have been easier for us as guests to be able to have our own little fridge to keep food and drinks.

The art pieces, I love old stuff, so it may not be everyone's liking but I did.

From my room the light from outside the villa shine throughout the night, nothing can be done from outside the villa but at least the villa should put a blackout to prevent this.

Definitely felt like entering a villa. Lots of ornaments and art. Owner was friendly and welcoming. Location is decent, close to a big road without the noise of big roads. I brought a bike, the owner let me park it inside the gates, so I was at ease when I slept.

Clean room, simple but artistic decoration. We got spacious double bed room. Location wise is good.

Stairs to reach upper level. Not suitable if individu have difficulty to climb the stairs.

Peacefull. Owner friendly. Next time will stay here . ✌️

No Mini Freezer, No Glass, No Water Heater for drinking my Hot Coffea. Hope this one can upgrade next time.

Super duper clean. Approachable and kind host. For those who loves art, this would be the place. The location is in a quite residential with ample parking spaces.

No lift , have to use staircase.
