I loved it was located beside the sea and all walking distance to the heritage attractions. The staff there are amazing, they are really friendly and accommodating. They’re also very responsive over our requests. The breakfast buffet spread was good, so much to eat to start the day, loved it! Keep up the great job and good efforts!

I don’t blame the hotel as we went through Covid-19 these few years, certain facilities like the spa and the restaurant beside the spa is no longer available. I guess for now, the business is slowly picking up, so I hope they’ll do a good job upgrading it soon for a better experience! Other than that I loved my stay!

We arrived by ferry from Butterworth and were happy to walk from the terminal to this hotel. We loved our room. Spacious. Nice details, like a make-up alcove. Big shower. This is a classic hotel, great value. Near the harbor and the old fort.

Great location in the old town and near the ferry terminal. The room was very nice, large and comfortable. The bathroom and shower was excellent. WIFI was very good and housekeeping did a good job. Breakfast was excellent! Lots of selections of western and eastern foods, fresh fruit, hot and cold items as well a very good fresh cooked egg service. Great pool area as well - love the salt water pool.

The shuttle service from hotel to Gurney Plaza - they forgot to pick us up. The desk manager made note of our request but perhaps he did not pass it on

The beds are incredibly comfortable and it was fantastic having a pool long enough to swim in. The breakfast buffet is large but can get a bit crowded. Local choices such as Nasi Lemak and Roti Canai are better than the western offerings. There are loads of food choices nearby if you don't want to eat the hotel breakfast. It would be nice to have a drink by the pool but they don't even serve soft drinks (the whole hotel is alcohol free but even if they offered cocktails or cola that would have been nice).

We were surprised at how small our room was. We paid extra for a deluxe having stayed in a superior last time. The room this time was smaller with only 1 chair at the desk. In the superior room we had an armchair as well. There are no chairs on the balcony so it isn't really usable. We wouldn't bother paying for an upgraded room next time!

Location is very good for visiting the Fort and easy walk to the ocean front and the ferry terminal. Breakfast offers a good variety of food, however, the quality of food could have been better.

We booked a deluxe room on a higher floor, room is spacious but the ventilation system does not work well, so the stuffy air smells in the room.

Room was great. Super big and super comfortable. Bathroom was also big. My son enjoyed the room very much. Hotel carpark is very nearby so no trouble getting to the car quickly. I once left the lights on and the hotel called me to inform, which I'm grateful for it. The croissant was super super super tasty (ahh wish i can have it right now). Plenty of food for breakfast. The cafe for breakfast was under construction during my visit and the breakfast hall was well equipped for a temporary place. Convenience store is 100 meters away with plenty of cafe around that area. I feel safe to walk there and to the nearest food stall around the Padang Kota area. Access to main road going inside and outside of the island was also easy. It didn't take much time to reach any point of interest.

Gym was a bit too cramped, but not much people going there so i guess that's okay. The shower door on my bathroom was somehow 'leaking' - if i take my shower for more than 10 mins, the bathroom floor is starting to wet. I saw someone had the bubbles at the jacuzzi but during my time, i cant find if there's any button to switch on the bubbles. Nothing wrong, just for fun :)

It portrays itself as a “heritage” hotel and this is evident in many features in the old building; however, extensive interior modernisations mean that is more resembling a large corporate hotel now. That said, it is a high standard, very comfortable and excellent facilities in the rooms. My room was in good condition and looked new, (contrary to some previous comments, (maybe they have refurbished some but not all rooms?)). Extensive and varied buffet breakfast. I liked the pool which was large and ideal for swimming. Location ideal for the ferry and the historic colonial area.

The number of notices with special offers for catering, and a free drink if you write a review, rather than practical information, were excessive and off putting. I did look at the restaurant one evening and it was deserted, even though it was supposed to be open.

1. The location which is right in the middle of Georgetown, 7-Eleven, Zus, Salad Atelier, some coffee shops & this popular Nasi Lemak spot is right beside the hotel to fulfil cravings without going too far 2. The room plan for Junior Triple which has a balcony that overlooks a paid parking area (a bit meh) but you can see Komtar and an adjacent hotel from your room. There's also a vanity table right in front of the bathroom for getting ready, very convenient cus it contains the mess when getting ready sometimes 3. Very comfy bed and pillows for a good night's sleep 4. The parking is great, although I'm not sure if it's probably because our visit was during the weekday, cus we are able to park right in front of the lobby without having to go into the multi-level parking with the help of the doormen 5. An okay selection of breakfast choices

1. The lounge chair in the room had a nasty smell, like dirty laundry. Everything else in the room smelled nice, such as the towels and the sheets 2. The furniture is a bit outdated, which I understand as the hotel itself has aged a lot, but some light fixtures could be replaced here and there so guests don't feel like they're transported back in time 3. You have to pay for a bucket of ice, and inform the front desk if you need extra water bottles. I don't know if this is the norm for hotels, but I just recently stayed at another hotel which provided complimentary ice when requested from the room service, so I thought the practice would be as simple as getting the room service to pass it to our room

Strategic location for sightseeing around Georgetown, and good parking area. Room is comfortable with well equipped health & wellness facilities

Upset with the buffet breakfast. Supplies were just not well managed since 8am, refill coffee beans for coffee machines takes more than 15 mins whether decide to fill or not, and where I'm away to take my food, the service crew just forcing me to end my meal fast, said that many people coming for breakfast, while I was just started to finished my starter with salad, and been chased off. After 10mins only recommend me to sit in additional open table without on air con over there. IT WAS HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Good location(a 10 minute walk to Armenian Street and a 20 min Grab to the Botanical Gardens),comfortable rooms and beds,and a nice swimming pool. Lots of restaurants within a short walking distance.Walking distance from the famous "Auntie Gaik Lean's Old School Eatery." The hotel restaurant and room service serves a wide variety of food at average prices.However,I personally preferred the Malay food to the Western food on the menu.

Guests are only allowed 1 towel per person at the pool.I found it unnecessary that one specific male housekeeping member was constantly monitoring that (PAYING)hotel guests had signed for their ONE towel!🙄 The pool deck is EXCEPTIONALLY hot during the day and you cannot walk barefoot on it. The gym is very small,but it has good sets of dumbells for weight training.The treadmills at the gym are out of order.
