Yes, you will live in a tree house in a nature park and have a beautiful view of the beach. The only thing is that you should be prepared for the fact that everything is older than it looks in the photo. Also, local monkeys will come to visit you, and a squirrel was even able to sneak into the house and steal a croissant. We also saw a monitor lizard near the cafe. You are unlikely to get something like this anywhere else. Despite the simplicity and slight wear and tear (the houses could use some renovation), the rooms have a shower, refrigerator and air conditioning, which makes your stay quite comfortable. You must understand that this is not a luxury resort and the main thing here is nature. The forest trails and beach here are truly wonderful. There is always a rental station for sups and kayaks on the beach. The rooms are cleaned daily and the staff is always ready to help you to make your stay here generally comfortable and I'm reading this interesting experiment. Breakfast is included in the stay - it is very simple, but acceptable. You can have lunch and dinner at the neighboring resort or go to the neighboring village of Kampung Buntal, where there are several excellent local restaurants. Calling a taxi is very easy. It’s even better to leave for Kuching in the evening and arrive at night to go to your house through the night forest. This was definitely the most unusual accommodation experience during my travels, and there was a lot that could have been better here, but that’s not really something to criticize. I recommend this hotel to those who want something new.

I loved the fact that we were surrounded by trees. We were visited by a family of silver leaf monkeys in the morning. The design of the treehouse is really cool and it overlooks the ocean. We were surrounded by the sound of waves and it was really peaceful. They also provided an espresso machine and espresso capsules., a real treat. The spread of the buffet breakfast was decent but do go early because they don't necessarily replace all the food like for like. We saw pineapples in the morning but decided to go for a walk on the beach first and they replaced it with honeydew. There was also very little broccoli and carrot left by the time we went and it took about half an hour before a new batch was brought out.

The water supply was erratic. We sometimes found ourselves without water but the flow would return in about 30 minutes. I'm not sure why this was the case. This place has seen better days though. Being by the ocean has worn it down pretty badly.

Loved this place. Stayed 3 nights, could easily stay 2 weeks! Loved the treehouse accommodation in the tree canopy; the lack of crowds (just a few locals come out to the beach picnicking on the weekends); the main noises being that of the living forest around you; the native animals seen in their natural habitat…. There is a concrete monstrosity of a resort next door - I’d hands-down choose this a place like Permai over that, any day! Plenty of activities to keep one busy. Sarawak cultural village an easy walk away. Restaurant has limited menu but adequate. Generous breakfast provisions.

That all the activities provided incurred an extra cost. I did feel this accommodation was relatively expensive (comparatively to others in Sarawak; and the most expensive place I stayed on our trip covering 3 countries), and although the activités weren’t overly expensive, it was annoying to have to fork out even more to have a kayak for an hour when we were guests at the resort.

The entire experience was fantastic. I did the waterfall trail, which was absolutely amazing! Watching the sunset from the cafe was breathtaking! What truly stood out, though, was the warmth and friendliness of the staff. A special thanks to the general manager, Nazrul Nasihin, who kindly arranged for a staff member to drop me off at my next nearby accommodation, which I wasn't expecting.. He even ensured I was picked up for a cruise I had booked with the resort after I had already moved. Truly exceptional hospitality!

The experience was great! But just a heads up- the sea view from balconies in treehouses are obstructed by the trees.

The resort is an amazing place with direct access to safe beaches, jungle trails, a jungle pool and a restaurant. Treehouses are great while they vary in view and "newness" of their facilities. There are monkeys all around and beautiful nature and staff is super friendly. Not much to complain

The 2nd tree house we stayed in was a bit oldish, water from shower flooding the whole bathroom and some holes in floor and ceiling, drawer hard to open, etc. nothing deal breaking but the place is quite expensive so you higher expectations. There are no vegetarian options on the menu in their restaurant which is a pity because their food is nice. The great kitchen staff still managed to cook us something which was great but I couldn't eat the same 1-2 dishes for days, so I suggest this could be improved easily

We loved staying at this unique spot in the jungle. The rooms were so clean and well kept and the large windows look out onto the canary with the sound of the ocean just beyond the trees. We were here during the offseason so there was not much in the way of kayaking or tour activities but we still enjoyed hiking and walking to the nearby cultural center. We saw monkeys every day and lots of birds and a monitor lizard. If the jungle pool doesn’t suit you the beaches are close and so beautiful! The staff was very wonderful at both the reception and the restaurant. We had an AC issue one day and they responded immediately to help us be comfortable. This is a rustic location that despite its remoteness and jungle setting is clean, safe and comfortable. Highly recommend

We stayed in Treehouse No5 and it had an amazing Seaview. We were also lucky enough to have proboscis monkeys in the trees all around the treehouse one morning which was incredible! The staff were helpful and let us put two mattresses on the floor so we didn’t have to split up with our two kids. Good restaurant and lovely staff there. The beach was incredible/ open and sandy with the best waves to body board on!! And can hire a body board from the boat shack.lovely walk to waterfall (although quite challenging- it is marked but no ‘path’ as such just walking through rainforest but really recommend if you are relatively good fitness. Our kids managed it fine and loved it. Nice jungle pool as well. Can walk to Sarawak Cultural Village

It is a bit run down in places. Maybe because we visited during off season/monsoon. The watersports and excursions were all not happening due to the rainy season but they did let us know this in advance. The mattresses on the floor for kids were not super comfy- probably fine for younger kids but ours are a bit older and so didn’t find them very comfy and very thin blankets as well. But it was good of them to help out and put us all together! Restaurant food is great and pretty good value- maybe a bit lacking in variety over more than a 3 day stay. And would really like to have option of fresh fruit salad for breakfast or something similar :)

We got cabin 5, which has an excellent view over the bay. The cabin is big and has a wonderful balcony. The steps up and down are a bit challenging if you don’t like heights, and the room rocks a bit with any movements inside or big winds outside. The fly netting was good, and we had a mosquito coil which was useful. We slept with the balcony doors open to the sounds of the sea, and woke to the sounds of the birds and monkeys. The resort has a lovely pool fed by a spring, two small beaches and some excellent forest walks. We did the walk to the waterfall and bathed with turtles. We loved our stay so much we extended our booking. This is not a luxurious resort but it is an excellent nature reserve and exactly what we were looking for.

The food wasn’t up to much, and there isn’t much other choice locally. Take bug spray if you are susceptible to being bitten.

The treehouse was perfect - simple but comfortable and with everything I needed. Clean and in good condition. The bed was good, there was a kettle, fridge and nespresso, full functioning bathroom, and a balcony overlooking the sea. Food from the nearby Feeding Tree was good and not overpriced. I guess the other options for food would be the next resort, which has at least one bar, and some food stalls (and a 7-11) near the Cultural Village and within walking distance. Both beaches are good but disappear at high tide.

It did seem a bit expensive for what it is. I didn't mind the rough path and long climb to the treehiuse. The trip out from Kuching is about an hour. Easy to find a Grab out there; but coming back the help of reception is needed, and do not leave it to the last minute to ask them as rides might need prebooking.

It's a treehouse with beach view! Very calming waves and insect calls at night. I like that the pillow wasn't too high for me too, and a mini fridge was provided.

The floor was a bit sandy, and the chairs in the room and outside the balcony could be replaced.
