The location was great: in walking distance to tons of restaurants, several sights, the river, and a direct connection to the shopping mall. Loved the breakfast, especially the fresh juice selection. Friendly staff. The view to the river from the pool area (and the rooms facing the river, if you paid for those).

Just being picky now. (Overall, the hotel was very nice and I would recommend it!) It could be nice with longer opening hours at the pool bar. The view of the shopping mall roof was not that nice from the non-river facing rooms. It could benefit from some green roofing in an ideal world.

Location near waterfront, attached above Merdeka shopping area very convenient for quick groceries with a small family, check in/check out was easy going process, hospitable & helpful hotel staff. Love the idea of refreshments at hotel lobby. Good food for breakfast. Their Laksa at breakfast is better than expected, really good!

Head chef at breakfast always seem to be in a bad mood, berating the staff at the food stations, upset about food arrangement etc. Prefer he did all this privately and not in front of guests.

We had a city view king suite which had a large bedroom and very spacious bathroom. The sitting room was a bit cell-like with a grey sofa and two armchairs arranged in front of a huge TV screen, with no windows. We used it as a dressing room. Breakfast buffet had wide range of Asian choices. Staff were friendly, especially Lucy in the car park. Overall. It was good value for money and in an excellent location. A bit more care and attention to cleaning (see below) would make it an unbeatable choice in Kuching.

The hotel was let down by lack of attention to cleaning. The Venetian blind in our bathroom was broken and covered in dust. We didn't use the swimming pool as pigeons fly in to drink from it and also roost in the flower beds in the middle of the pool. Really not hygienic.

1) The room was comfortable and clean. Got 2 nice bathroom robes and slippers. 2) The breakfast buffet was great with a good spread. Was quite delighted to see roti jala being served. Everything else tasted good. 3) The swimming pool was shaded from the sun and had lovely relaxing vibes which made it very enjoyable there. Excellent service by the friendly lady in charge there.

1) The air-conditioning was centralised and couldn't be adjusted. It was absolutely freezing most of the time. 2) Very limited parking spots because it is shared with the shopping mall. No designated parking for hotel dwellers. We ended up going around multiple times searching for a spot. 3) We were unlucky to be staying next to a smoker although it was a non-smoking floor. Please double check whether guests need a smoking floor. It spoilt our experience because the smoke seeped into our room and toilet. Very unhealthy for children.

Breakfast is absolutely amazing. Best food I've experienced at any hotel in my life. By itself a reason to return. Location cannot be beat. But try to request a room with a view. We stayed three times and the quality of the view varied from incredible, experience-changing view of the river and surroundings to a view of a wall. First 2 night stay we were upgraded for free to a suite and that really made our trip (but next two stays got less and then less good rooms; oh well).

Wish the pool was open later (7pm is too early to close an incredible pool with a bar in hot, hot, hot Kuching).

1. Room AC fixed at 23.5 degree Celcius. Can't be adjusted..Can feel warm while sleeping since weather is so hot. 2. Swimming pool too small (guess nothing much can be done) with shallow water only to abt waist level. For taller person maybe below waist level. Decided not to swim after being told abt this by a guest we met in the lift. 3. Could improve with staff training on basic info about tourist attractions..

Our room had an amazing view of the river and iconic state assembly building. The room was spacious, with a large bathroom and comfy bed. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The hotel is located on top of a shopping mall, which is very convenient and means there are plenty of options for food if you don't want to venture too far from the hotel. The pool has a great view of the river, and there is a well-stocked bar which also serves food.

The quality of the food at the pool bar wasn't great, although we only ate here once. The pool is also quite cold.

The hotel has an amazing view on the river, on the bridge and on the buildings on the opposite side. The room is big and comfy, and the location itself is just perfect, couple of walking minutes to more or less everything. Breakfast is also very good, a lot of choices. The pool has a magnificent view as well.

We had to change our room because in the first one that was assigned to us, there were several small ants walking on the furniture and climbing the wall. Once clarified and had got a new room, all was good. Temperature of the water in the pool is in my opinion too cold.

Superb breakfast for any taste, western , Asian , Malaysian. Excellent and willing staff who were both helpful and unobtrusive. Perfect location for seeing the old central area of the city and waterfront , museums , Chinatown street and India street all right there . Having the hotel attached to a mall greatly eased being there during rainy season, and would be welcome anytime. We were there during Ramadan, so restaurant was not busy during the day, the huge range of breakfast buffet options were still well presented and changed daily. Our room was large, well appointed, definitely recommended paying extra for the river view, which was appealing day and night, even during rainstorms.

Breakfast had lots of options and catered to many palettes. Rooms were clean and staff were super friendly and accommodating. We had great views of the river and were in short distance from plenty of restaurants. And the people of Kuching are the most easy going and friendly people I have ever met.

Wifi was great on day 1 and then non-existent the next three days. We struggled with connectivity - its possible the hotel was just full and everyone was piling on. Still, reliable internet connectivity is a basic expectation, especially for international visitors who might not have cellular signals.
