Location near waterfront, attached above Merdeka shopping area very convenient for quick groceries with a small family, check in/check out was easy going process, hospitable & helpful hotel staff. Love the idea of refreshments at hotel lobby. Good food for breakfast. Their Laksa at breakfast is better than expected, really good!

Head chef at breakfast always seem to be in a bad mood, berating the staff at the food stations, upset about food arrangement etc. Prefer he did all this privately and not in front of guests.

We had a city view king suite which had a large bedroom and very spacious bathroom. The sitting room was a bit cell-like with a grey sofa and two armchairs arranged in front of a huge TV screen, with no windows. We used it as a dressing room. Breakfast buffet had wide range of Asian choices. Staff were friendly, especially Lucy in the car park. Overall. It was good value for money and in an excellent location. A bit more care and attention to cleaning (see below) would make it an unbeatable choice in Kuching.

The hotel was let down by lack of attention to cleaning. The Venetian blind in our bathroom was broken and covered in dust. We didn't use the swimming pool as pigeons fly in to drink from it and also roost in the flower beds in the middle of the pool. Really not hygienic.

1) The room was comfortable and clean. Got 2 nice bathroom robes and slippers. 2) The breakfast buffet was great with a good spread. Was quite delighted to see roti jala being served. Everything else tasted good. 3) The swimming pool was shaded from the sun and had lovely relaxing vibes which made it very enjoyable there. Excellent service by the friendly lady in charge there.

1) The air-conditioning was centralised and couldn't be adjusted. It was absolutely freezing most of the time. 2) Very limited parking spots because it is shared with the shopping mall. No designated parking for hotel dwellers. We ended up going around multiple times searching for a spot. 3) We were unlucky to be staying next to a smoker although it was a non-smoking floor. Please double check whether guests need a smoking floor. It spoilt our experience because the smoke seeped into our room and toilet. Very unhealthy for children.

Our room had an amazing view of the river and iconic state assembly building. The room was spacious, with a large bathroom and comfy bed. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The hotel is located on top of a shopping mall, which is very convenient and means there are plenty of options for food if you don't want to venture too far from the hotel. The pool has a great view of the river, and there is a well-stocked bar which also serves food.

The quality of the food at the pool bar wasn't great, although we only ate here once. The pool is also quite cold.

Superb breakfast for any taste, western , Asian , Malaysian. Excellent and willing staff who were both helpful and unobtrusive. Perfect location for seeing the old central area of the city and waterfront , museums , Chinatown street and India street all right there . Having the hotel attached to a mall greatly eased being there during rainy season, and would be welcome anytime. We were there during Ramadan, so restaurant was not busy during the day, the huge range of breakfast buffet options were still well presented and changed daily. Our room was large, well appointed, definitely recommended paying extra for the river view, which was appealing day and night, even during rainstorms.

It was rainy season, not the fault of the hotel!!!

The hotel has an amazing view on the river, on the bridge and on the buildings on the opposite side. The room is big and comfy, and the location itself is just perfect, couple of walking minutes to more or less everything. Breakfast is also very good, a lot of choices. The pool has a magnificent view as well.

We had to change our room because in the first one that was assigned to us, there were several small ants walking on the furniture and climbing the wall. Once clarified and had got a new room, all was good. Temperature of the water in the pool is in my opinion too cold.

Breakfast had lots of options and catered to many palettes. Rooms were clean and staff were super friendly and accommodating. We had great views of the river and were in short distance from plenty of restaurants. And the people of Kuching are the most easy going and friendly people I have ever met.

Wifi was great on day 1 and then non-existent the next three days. We struggled with connectivity - its possible the hotel was just full and everyone was piling on. Still, reliable internet connectivity is a basic expectation, especially for international visitors who might not have cellular signals.

We have been served by Ryan and his service is really commendable. He is very patient, soft-spoken, and understanding to our expectation. One of the reasons we choose this hotel is the indoor pool because of expected rains from the weather forecast. However, the pool is small and is crowded most time. Furthermore, the room which we stay in has a smell that we find uncomfortable with. We wanted to cancel the rest of our stay and move to another hotel. However, we decided to stay on because Ryan provided us with a change of room with an upgrade to a better room which does not have the same smell in the previous room. It is not just the change of room that make us stay put but it is Ryan effort and good customer service which we really appreciated very much to continue our stay. Overall, I would say that the hotel has a good guest services staff, and this has really made our stay a very pleasant one.

Pool is small.

1. Location is the best! Since it was raining the night we arrived, we get to see the light n sound fountain from the hotel room itself. 2. Laksa Sarawak @ buffet bfast. I had 2 bowls! Yums! 3. Covered pool so kids get to swim despite the rainy day 4. Services were good - checkin

I actually booked 2 rooms - 1 (twin room) from booking.com and another 1 (junior king suite) via a members' redemption site. The junior king suite was so dissapointing. Not worth the price/points at all. Despite being big etc, really not worth it for just 2 person. Not enuff amenities to make ur stay comfortable e.g, drying racks, laundry basket etc. Shower n bath was leaking badly. Window had a really bad view of the maintenance floor alley despite being on upper floor than our boys on the twin room. They love it! Beautiful view of darul hana, astana n regatta. So I'll recommed juz go for standard rooms (any) as long as it is facing the river. We changed hotel on 2nd day onwards juz becoz we were soo dissappointed with our junior king suite that cost us all our points 😓

Fantastic location, Carpenter Street across the street, India Street behind the entrance, the riverfront a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Breakfast had many Western & Asian choices of cereals, eggs, fruits etc. Twin room was large, a/c very effective, large windows with great view. The staff are incredibly friendly & helpful.

The pool is located on the 4th floor in the bar area, so the area doesn’t see the sun at all & the water is not heated. There’s a family of pigeons that use the pool too! One evening the pool/bar area was closed due to a private function, which was inconvenient as I’d planned to watch the water & light show from there.
