Lift is fast, room is clean, water pressure is good. Luggage storage service is superb, with there being a compartmentalised area at the lobby with the bellboy in charge of safekeeping the guests' belongings, instead of the usual case where luggage is simply stacked in one corner and left out in the open. Wonderful location right beside the historical temple and within walking distance of the iconic waterfront. Unfortunately I forgot to take photos of the room, but I also had a good view of the Sarawak Legislative Building behind the waterfront right from my window.

WiFi was really bad: disclaimer on WiFi card warning about the poor Internet does not excuse the poor & inconsistent signal in the hotel rooms. My room was at the corner so it could've just been my luck too. Regardless, please consider installing some WiFi extenders along the corridors and perhaps in the guestrooms as well; the current WiFi setup is really the Achilles's heel for this hotel and simply unacceptable. Pros do outweigh the cons though, so just buy more mobile data if you're staying here.

My room was light filled and very comfortable for my two week stay. There was a mini fridge and electric kettle. The shower was strong and hot. There was room for everything. The location was good for what I needed, although it was a little tricky to get to as a pedestrian. The air conditioning was just right and the lifts worked well. The WiFi here was steady, and I had a partial view of the river and lights. Facing west, there were some great sunsets.

The desk staff were rather stiff, and their first response to most things was “no”. After being told there were no other rooms, I was moved when there was no WiFi reception in that room to another room, which was a bit smaller, but in a much nicer location, and with WiFi. I didn’t find the breakfast options to be all that much to my taste, but I think I was an outlier most of the hotel guests seemed fine with them. No yoghurt, limited fresh fruit. Eggs were prepared on demand, though.

I think this is a second review request for same hotel I just reviewed, which is probably because I had to make 3 separate booking at the same place since I wasn’t allowed to just a a day onto the beginning, and 2 days onto the end of my original booking. Don’t know if that was the hotel or Booking. I had the same type room for all 3 bookings, and fortunately didn’t have to move rooms.

Its location is the best thing about it. Affordable and quite decent too.

Breakfast was very basic not really worth paying extra for. Good restaurants nearby, so it’s more affordable to book rooms without breakfast. Room a bit dusty. Autogate parking didn’t detect plat no correctly but no intercom provided to contact the staff. Had to tell receptionist to open it manually each time we want to go out. They’re helpful, tho, but just a bit inconvenient. Everything else is good.

Location was great as it is just at the riverwalk with walking distance to Carpenter St, Riverfront, etc.

Insufficient parking space

Harbour View Hotel has a great location, very close to the waterfront and all amenities. The harbour view from my room was spectacular. The room itself was spacious and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The hot water and the water pressure in the bathroom were very good. The staff was polite, friendly, and helpful.

The WiFi does not work everywhere in the hotel. I was moved to another room because the room I was initially given did not have any WiFi connection. Also, the fridge in my second room did not work. However, all in all, my stay in the hotel was very comfortable.

We stayed 2 nights upon our return from Sri Aman. We had a big twin room on the 12th floor. We chose Harbour View hotel for her location. She's a few minutes walk to the Chinese museum. There we can board the free bus 103, operated by Kuching Metro. This bus runs every 2 hrs, stops at major shopping malls, heritage trail, the airport, Kuching Sentral bus terminus and of course the Semenggoh Wildlife Center. Super location.

This time the staff attitude was poor. Upon check out we informed the room air-conditioning had a malfunction, the toilet flush system was flushing non stop. The receptionist didn't seem to respond to our report.

The hotel is strategic, close to the waterfront. Breakfast is decent. The room is really spacious and has basic amenities, including iron, toiletries and room slippers. I enjoyed my stay here and I would recommend this to my family and friends.

I found that the room carpet was a bit dirty and needed to be vacuumed. And I'm not sure what was wrong with the Wifi, it didn't work throughout my stay so I had to use my data instead.

Very cozy apartment close to the river waterfront. Good position, friendly staff.

Our first room was at the back and during the night there was a lot of noise. We requestsd to change the room and they found a much better solution moving us to the left side of the building (we very appreciated)

Perfect location and views! Room is spacious and clean. Great breakfast. Personal is kindly.
