Easy and smooth check in procedure. No deposit required. We checked in at 1.30PM. Car parking provided in Level 6. The location is next to Taiping Mall (but nothing interesting, got Zus Coffee, Guardian, Parkson etc). Direct access to the mall via lobby. In front of the mall, food court available, can try their yong tau foo. Good and delicious breakfast menu, nothing extraordinary but still acceptable, only add RM18 for one child extra for the breakfast. The view is nice facing Taiping town and the lake garden. Overall, it is a good stay for us since we checked in on Sunday, and only spent one night.

The pressure of the water pipe is too strong. Limited tv channel.

Location is right in the downtown, facing Taiping lake, and Maxwell Hill. The hotel condition still look pretty new, and the interior are nice, and environment is clean. Carpark is convenient as it can be directly accessed from hotel room lift.

Nothing much. I think everything is good for me, fulfilling my need as a business traveler. The view from my room is not nice, but i dont pay for a good view, so not really a complaint. For those who wish to have a better view, then choose lake view.

Room that was given to me was great! It had the most beautiful view of their lake garden. And breakfast was good too, for a small town like Taiping, they did very well for the breakfast buffet spread! And location too was excellent, could go around to nearby shops by walking and did not need to get a taxi!

There is nothing that I did not dislike, Novotel Taiping made my stay wonderful and would highly recommend anyone who wants to come to taiping, to book at Novotel Taiping!! Thank you to all staff from Novotel Taiping!

The views from the Lake Gardens side of the building were well worth the small price of the upgrade, especially from the 13th floor. The rooms were very well appointed (the towels were gorgeous) and the breakfast had very good local options. The staff were all very helpful. You can easily walk to the Gardens and the zoo, which were the reason for staying in Taiping. The shopping centre underneath has a small 7-11 and lots of bakeries as well as a large supermarket in the basement. There are several hawker centres nearby. We liked the one next to the renovated market building.

Nothing, it was perfect for us.

Since it was still a school holiday, we decided to go to Taiping, and we took the ETS from KL Sentral to Taiping. It takes around 3 hrs + to reach Taiping, and it's actually our first experience with ETS, and it was very convenient. The distance from KTM to the hotel is not that far. We rented a car during our stay there. The mall is just below the hotel. Across the hotel, there are a lot of stalls selling yong tau fu. Since we arrived at 11.45pm & after checking in, we managed to have dinner there because the restaurants nearby all closed at 12pm. The room is very clean, smells very good and is very comfortable. We had a very good sleep for 2 nights. In fact, we feel like we just want to spend all the time in the room. We don't get a room with a mountain view, but we still can enjoy the view throughout our stay there, and it was spectacular. Tourist attractions just nearby the hotel, like Taman Tasik Taiping, Taiping Zoo, Taiping Museum, Burmese Pool, and Bukit Larut Spritzer Park, but we feel that many places we visited need major upgrading & restoration to attract more tourists, especially when Taiping is a historic place.Overall it was a nice stay & we enjoyed Taiping & we will come again. Hopefully all the attractions will improve during our next visit.

We reached late at night, and Just realised he mistakenly booked the room just for 1 person. The girl at the reception desk needs to be informed to follow as per the booking. So we have to pay extra for breakfast for these 2 days. So better check your booking properly before coming. The hotel is not going to consider your mistake & other requests. Need to improve customer service. Front desk staff like to hide behind the wall rather than be at their place.

Room is spacious and quiet, pillows and bed are comfortable. Toilet space is good , provided with huge bottle of aromatic shower gel & shampoo. Hotel parking is located at level 6, it's free for hotel guest , you just need to validate the parking ticket at the reception counter everytime before go out from the parking lot. Overall is a pleasant stay in this hotel. There is a 7-11 next to hotel lobby and a direct access door to the shopping mall as well. Super convenient as the hotel also located in the center of the Taiping town.

The hotel provide drinking water in the glass bottle which is refillable type , not the mineral water bottle disposable type. I understand it is for environmental friendly purpose. But my only concern is the hygience of the glass bottle , which used by previous guest and cleaning of the glass bottle as i can see some dirt at the plastic cover. I will recommend the hotel to provide mineral water bottle to ensure hygienic drinking water.

Room was satisfactory as it was on the 13th floor n faced the lake. Special shout out to the service staff Jason who went above expectation to ensure tht my room was on the same floor at my dad room as we were there for all soul day prayers. Location was good - rite in the middle of everything

The car park on the 6th floor was challenging as the rounding to 6 th floor felt tedious ann we went thru many floors of empty carpark space...Understand tht the design is such n perhaps it wld be better to have some valet at the ground floor for quick pick up n drop off.

The location, the cleanliness, the breakfast and most of all the staffs. I would like to thank Mr. Sirus for his courtesy in approaching us explaining the parking matter and assisting my family to the hotel lobby with our luggage during heavy rain. His info helps us a lot. Also to Ms Aishah for her excellent service accomodating my family needs during checked-in. Not to forget thanks to Goure & Zarif for their patient and assistance in managing the large crowd ensuring our checked out time very smooth. Thumbs-up to all of you. Hope the hotel management could reward these staffs 'handsomely' 🫡. Will come again nx time.

Probably all the parking levels should installed additional lights as its quite dark upon our arriving and its raining too. the parking ticket machine was not functioning when we were exiting. Other than that..all good!.

Clean decent size room. We got the room facing Lake Garden which was wonderful. The hotel location is smack right in the middle of town, very convenient to move around.

The parking. To exit you have to go all the way down to the 1st floor to get the ticket stamp (bless your heart if you dont forget), then go back up to the 6th floor to drive out. If only there is a machine that can stamp the ticket and to use it you tap your room card, placed on the 6th floor.

My friend and I recently enjoyed a wonderful two-night stay at this fantastic hotel perfectly located in the very heart of Taiping town with easy access to anywhere and a handy internal door in the lobby connected to the next door mall. The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and exceeded international expectations, with a magnificent view of the lake gardens and surrounding hills. The rainforest shower was a powerful, satisfying and refreshing start to the day. All the staff were unfailingly friendly, attentive and courteous - our particular thanks to the front-desk lady upon checkout who kindly provided us with a ticket print-out for our ongoing journey. We were particularly impressed with the food: both the breakfast buffet and lunch/dinner menu were outstanding in quality and variety. It was a great pleasure to meet the manager in the restaurant on our last morning and pass on our justified and well-deserved compliments. We will certainly be returning to this Novotel in the future.

It would be good if the hotel could offer a greater variety of channels on the in-room television, particularly news services like CNN or BBC24, as well as a movie channel. A functioning coffee machine would always be appreciated as well. These two relatively minor additions to the room would be more consistent with the expectations of international standards these days.
