Great location, right on the beach and 1 minute walk from the main bus station. Lovely staff, friendly, polite, and ready to help. Spacious room and bathroom. Large balcony with incredible sea view. Everything was clean and in good order. Lots of mirrors, which I found helpful.

The lack of a table on the balcony. There were only chairs, unlike in the photos, and it wasn't helpful if you preferred to have your coffee on the balcony as I do. The mattress is rather uncomfortable (old model with springs which you do feel as you sleep) Hard pillow that gives you neck pain. It's a bit noisy if you keep the balcony door open due to the nearby harbour. (I guess it depends on one's nervous system sensitivity)

I loved my vacation at Water's Edge hotel..the room was cozy and very clean,the view to the sea was so nice,is very close to many shops,restaurants,take aways,bus stations to go in different destinations like Valetta or airport.. the staff at the reception are great and so friendly and helpfull with all their guests needs to feel welcomed and happy there ..I gladly recomand this hotel and for sure I will come back..for the beach you can choose sit on your towel on the sand or pay for a sunbed is5e and 3e umbrella

All was great

A wonderful small, neat hotel, located on the first line of the sea. Directly next to a sandy beach. Very close to a public transport stop. Around is full of bars and restaurants, where you can have lunch, dinner or just have a drink. The hotel offers a classic continental breakfast. Very kind and friendly staff. Special thanks to the maids for their perfect job. We would love to visit again.

A container terminal has been built diagonally across from the hotel. Sometimes there are loading and unloading activities, it is noisy. Then, in order to maintain comfort in the room, I recommend closing the balcony door and turning on the air conditioner. Noise isolation is very good

I find it amazing that there are reviews which complain about the proximity of the port. We really enjoyed being able to watch the container ships coming in and out and watching them being loaded and unloaded. If this would bother you then don't stay here. We also enjoyed meeting some of the Filipino crew while they were enjoying a couple of hours shore leave. If you look the other way then the view of the beach is great. Beachfront location, loads of bars and restaurants around. The hotel and the room and the breakfast buffet were nothing special but all were acceptable and more than adequate for a few nights stay.

There was a nice comfortable bed, a gorgeous view, and a good-sized balcony. The bathroom was simple but clean and well stocked. The staff were polite and friendly, especially the domestic staff. This is a simple hotel, no gym, and no swimming pool, etc, but for someone who just wants to relax and enjoy the beach, which is directly next to it, it's perfect. The sea is gorgeous! Yes, there is a view of the shipping port right next to the hotel, but it's not an ugly port and it's not an eye-sore. It's an essential part of Malta and shouldn't be overlooked. At nighttime, it looks awesome. There are several restaurants close by; Illusions is great, and the staff are super friendly. Their omelette is incredible. Coffee Circus China is also close by, and the coffee and hot chocolate are delicious. It's a very quirky cafe and the staff are friendly. I wouldn't go to Pretty Bay if you want a bustling town with tons to do, but if you want to relax and re-charge, definitely visit!

Honestly, the only complaint we had was the TV and the remote. We could only find two channels on an evening to watch - Eurosports and Comedy Central. So I had to endure a week of snooker on an evening before I could watch Rick and Morty and Frasier 🤣 also, the remote rarely worked even when we changed the batteries ourselves.

Great location, right by the beach. Breakfast available for guests in private area. Clean rooms. Decent restaurant. Great TV channel selection. Close to airport.

Occasionally housekeeping deficiencies: balcony door left open, floor not dry following cleaning, requested extra quilt not supplied. Noisy lifts.

The staff were excellent from the warm and friendly welcome through to checkout, special acknowledgment for the housekeeping staff who were highly efficient. A wonderful location overlooking the sea. The buffets breakfasts offered really good choice catering for special diets and the staff were again excellent welcoming, friendly and attentive. Good value as well.Enjoyed our stay greatly.

Nothing of any significance at all.

This hotel is relatively close to the airport in a not very touristy area with regular buses to Valetta. The rooms have large balconies directly overlooking Pretty Bay (but also the island's container terminal). The restaurant on the ground floor offered excellent food and the management was very flexible in postponing the closure of the kitchen when we returned very late and exhausted from a tour, much appreciated! The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

There is a beach right beside the hotel but, although there were a number of people swimming, we did not see how the water quality could fail to be downgraded by having a major harbour next door. The in-house breakfast was very limited in scope but there is a nearby alternative.

We were allocated a room on earlier than check-in arrival time. The front desk staff also arranged a taxi for a very early departure to airport. This was our sixth stay at the Waters Edge and we are scheduled to stay there again in the near future, it may not appeal to some but we do enjoy watching the arrival and departure of freighters into the Freeport. Sunrise views from the hotels rooms are also spectacular. (We are resident on the Maltese Island of Gozo and we often enjoy the opportunity to take mini vacations on Malta, the Waters Edge is a favorite in this respect)

Maybe and earlier continental breakfast option for those guests having an early departure for the airport.

The hotel is perfect for the price you pay: you are in front of the beach, the room is big and they come to clean everyday, the breakfast is complete with both sweet and salty food. The most amazing thing is the terrace where you can relax and have an amazing view. The place is nice, close to the airport and 25 minutes to Valletta with frequent buses.
