Everything. The staff on arrival were so helpful, giving out guides, pointing out bus stops, ferry etc. The room was lovely, I had a sea view which was stunning. It was my birthday during my stay and they made a cake out of towels & decorated my room with balloons. Lovely touch. The location was great, walk to the ferry is under 10 mins, less than 4 euro to get across to Valletta which is also less than 10 minutes or you can buy a weekly pass for public transport for 19 euro. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant opposite called Punto and also Felice. Lots of bars and restaurants near by and shops. Felt very safe as a female solo traveller.

Location and the pool

The breakfast needs improvement eggs were so bad.

+ huge bathroom, comfortable shower, good hairdryer + spacious room with a table for comfortable work + safe available + there is one backup 220 V socket and a usb socket, for the rest you need an adapter + the hotel has a free sauna (must be booked 10 minutes in advance) + there are towels near the pool, but to the sea you need to take your own; + there are books to read at the reception and by the pool + to Valletta ferry (runs every half hour) by foot 7 minutes or you can take a taxi to Valletta almost same time

- the pool is cool; there is no wind near the pool, which is good in cool weather, but not comfortable in the heat - breakfast is the weakest part: you will not go hungry, but the menu does not change and there are very few vegetables and fruits, no porridge, stewed vegetables

Breakfast was pretty good but the room and the view over the bay and towards the city was by far the best thing about the hotel. Near the ferry port and bus stops.

Breakfast was a little crowded and chaotic and the food was quite processed but overall it wasn't bad for the price.

Where to start? Ok, from the moment we arrived at Hotel Verdi in a Taxi which was arranged by the hotel (First class service meet and greet) we were met by friendly reception staff who got us settled in in no time. First impressions were it was very clean modern hotel, we were not disappointed. Once we were in our room and had a look around, It is just as advertised. We booked a front sea view room with balcony and as it was on the seventh floor we had great views of the harbour. One thing to note is they do sea view side of hotel which I’m sure are as nice but not such a good view as the front. I will try and post some pics so you can see what I mean. The room we had was very quiet and we were not once disturbed by street noise or other guests. We only ate breakfast here (self service) which was great with allot of options and I regret not eating dinner here as I’m sure it would have been nice. The pool on the roof is half open half closed so good for all weather. We enjoyed a swim most days and there is a fantastic view from the top. Hotel Verdi is in a great location if you want to explore. There is a bus stop just outside and a five minute walk from the ferry which takes you to Valetta in another five minutes. The most important thing I always look for in reviews is would they stay again? Well yes I defiantly would and yes I would recommend this hotel. There are so many little things which made our holiday so much more enjoyable like the rooms serviced every day and the attentiveness of all the staff. If any of you read this, thank you.

All good nothing bad to say. it is as addvertised.

A wide choice was offered at breakfast to suit all tastes from different countries. The food was well presented on a buffet style with ample space for people to move around whilst selecting their food. There was also a wide choice of both hot and cold beverages. The restaurant was in use during the evenings and the menu was limited in choice but well priced. Room service was also available. The hotel is on the pleasant seafront promenade between Gzira and Sielma with easy assess to buses and the ferry to Valetta. The bedrooms are large and well equipped which are cleaned and maintained daily.

Parking a car is a problem.

The view from the room was amazing we were on the 10th Floor in a superior room, perfect for people watchers . Bed really comfy , bathroom spacious and modern . The manager Mark was very knowledgable about visiting the top sights and shared this knowledge with passion .

Unfortunately the buffet breakfast was lukewarm on all 4 mornings . We brought this to the attention of the restaurant supervisor and they prepared us fresh eggs . Sadly the rest was still not hot . A real shame because the quality of the ingredients were excellent . Delicious bread great coffee and cold selection of fruits . Need to look at how to have the hot items hot for all guests The hotel is very modern and minimalist . It’s spotless but for me was just a little soulless , lots of hard surfaces so breakfast was noisy , but that’s personal taste really .

Location, cleanliness, room size, balcony view, shower, breakfast, evening meal. Fantastic staff.

Room was near elevator where there is music playing between the hours of 9AM and 9PM which can be heard from within the room 1006. In the room there is a small light on permanently from one of the fire alarm or smoke sensors on the ceiling that illuminates the room at night time. I found this difficult to sleep with. Near the end of the stay the bar and restaurant staff were switched with another hotel which meant that the bar and restaurant were both closed for the last three days of my stay. This was frustrating as I had eaten in the restaurant previously and had enjoyed the food, wine, and atmosphere so was looking forward to repeating.

Spent a wonderful 7 nights here in Feb. Hotel is modern and clean and ideally situated for exploring Malta. Buses run regularly into Valletta costing 2 euros and about 15 mins. We had booked a deluxe room with a balcony on the 8th floor which had fabulous views across the bay to Valletta in the background. Room was clean, airy and spacious with a great bathroom with walk in shower and dual basins. Even though there is a main road below, the room was very quiet. Bed was super comfy too. There is a great selection for breakfast and the hardworking restaurant staff kept everything topped up and the tables clear. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful with any queries. We would 100% stay here again on our next time to Malta!

Everything was above and beyond. All staff were warm and friendly, the cleaning team did an exceptional job every day, the breakfast was delicious. We didn't get a chance to make use of the pool as it was packed when we tried. We booked a sea view room and it was worth every penny, the view over the harbour and Valletta would be hard to get tired of. The room was well equipped, very comfortable with plenty of space. In a great location, 5-10 minute walk to the ferry station and the bus stops, bars, restaurants. 100% would recommend this wonderful hotel, we hope to return one day!
