Staff service was exceptional and they were very attentive Heated private swimming pools in the rooms were great temperatures and allowed us to enjoy swimming during the winter season. Beach. Sand doesn't seem real and lot of rocks in the water Gym is very limited and not well maintained. There is very limited lighting in the rooms. Menu feels a little limited if you are staying for several days. Overall I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this property!

I like it because it’s peaceful , good location for sunset sighting, the room is spacious and the staff generally are service oriented, every attempt was made to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. F&B staff were flexible to accommodate our dietary requirements.

I did not like that the pool is not heated during winter and the gym is not opened 24 hours. The gym is too small to do floor exercises. The pricing of the food menu in the restaurant is not competitive with those in other 5 star hotels along Balaclava beach. And they can do better with their breakfast buffet.

The suite was perfect! Exactly as it shows on the photos. Beautiful views to wake up to. The beach just steps away from your room. The staff from cleaners to waitresses were all so kind and welcoming. It was my 40th birthday whilst here and they bought me cake to our suite after we finished dinner. The food was all delicious. A la carte every night which made it feel more special than the average all inclusive “all you can eat” buffet. There was one buffet evening and it was excellent. We had a floating breakfast in our private pool on my birthday which was so special and fun. The views of the sunsets from our balcony were spectacular, a real treat to be able to lie in bed and watch as well.

The beach isn’t ideal for swimming, a lot of rocks on the shoreline do not easy to walk into.

We arrived as a 2nd hotel stay & were not disappointed. Our room was very nice a good size with private small pool. The food & drinks were very nice & the staff attentive. We took time out for a massage & so glad that we did. the staff were attentive & the massage was great. The menu's are nice, with 4 restaurants to choose from, which you can eat at different times & days of the week. Our stay was for 2 nights due to a flight cancellation, so we were not able to take in all of the facilities. We also enjoyed the glass bottom boat trip direct from the beach.

We had 1 issue with our room as the water was not hot. I mentioned this to reception who sent a technician & he solved the issue for us.

Clean well kept rooms! Love the details like a welcome treat of snacks in our room on arrival, the fact that you receive x2 per day free water bottles and before bedtime they fill up another one to have at your bedside with a glass ready to go- very thoughtful, and generous! Beautiful robes to wear, a lot of towels especially pool ones as we stayed in a room with a private pool. Very handy to have extra towels. Well thought out infrastructure to have the bathroom open out onto the pool balcony so you can go straight into the bathroom after a swim - so helpful with our 1 year old. The private pool was an absolute luxurious treat! It was 30deg and clean. Food was absolutely exquisite for the in room service. We ordered the seafood platter which was Rs1800 plus added lobster for an additional cost - absolutely worth it!! First class seafood. HUGE prawns!! The crab bouillabaisse was unique and drenched with flavour. Fast service too for room service. We only ate at the main restaurant for dinner and again - food was very high quality!!! So much flavour in every dish. Cannot fault anything for dinner options. Kids options of crispy chicken was amazing - came with fries and salad which wasn’t mentioned so an added bonus. A big shout out to the amazing staff and service. I forgot the name but the main staff who was in charge at dinner time, overseeing everything, he went above and beyond for us. My lil one was very needy of attention and I couldn’t cut up my food to eat as I had to hold him. This staff member came over and suggested he could cut up my food for me (I had chicken), so that I could just eat freely. Wow! Amazing service. Was not expecting this level of attention. At the bar and lounge, such care from the bartender, always checking in if we were happy with our drink and provided us with snacks - again not expecting this level of attention. A late and generous check out time was also provided when we requested for it!

For in-room dining, it would be good to not have to pay an additional delivery fee of Rs 400 per order as most other 5 star hotels do not charge for a room service fee. Breakfast could have more variety of food but nevertheless was still good quality with egg station.

We recently enjoyed a wonderful couple’s getaway at Le Jadis in Mauritius, and it certainly lived up to our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of the resort. Our beachfront villa was spacious and thoughtfully designed, featuring a private plunge pool and jacuzzi that allowed us to fully unwind while taking in the peaceful surroundings. The service throughout our stay was excellent. The staff were consistently kind and attentive, always ensuring our comfort without being overbearing. Whether it was arranging a romantic floating breakfast or sharing tips on local activities, they helped make our stay feel special. The food was another standout. From fresh seafood to local Mauritian specialties, each meal offered something new to savor. For couples looking for a relaxing, romantic escape, Le Jadis is a fantastic choice. We left feeling refreshed and would love to return in the future!

The views from the room of the sea are amazing. The swimming pools in the rooms made my stay as I could swim whenever I wanted without the thought of having eyes on me. Which was a big thing for me as I do have anxiety and struggle in public spaces. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I loved the country and the hotel and would hope to be back. If there ever is affordable rooms or villas for families with multiple children, i would be back.

Not much choice of food for in room dining. No lunch options for in room dining. Also there is not much choice for in room desserts. Most times it is too hot around the building without Air conditioning so it is hard to go outside to get lunch and not being able to order to room. Makes it a bit hard. The lighting for the room could be a lot better. Also the bathroom would be much better if it had a bidet.

This is a stunning property, exactly what I needed to recuperate during an illness. The staff are exceptional, responsive and professional they made special arrangements to support me. It was important to me to be able to participate in the group wellness sessions that this resort offers and although the usual schedule was amended during Xmas, Zahra, Guest Service Supervisor par excellence, extended herself to bring in a replacement yoga instructor, Dr R Kishore, for me and other guests at short notice. He is a superb instructor and has given me some good strategies to manage my condition on an ongoing basis. I am very grateful to the whole team and hope they get some recognition for their job very well done. Thank you very much to the whole team at Le Jadis, I hope to return in better health one day soon.

Nothing negative to report

The room size, the comfort and the aesthetics were superb. Great layout so you come out and the pools and beach all there. Enough water activities offered for free, plus great yoga class on the beach. Staff were great, went out of their way to be helpful and lovely touches - like a bubble bath turndown. It's just an ideal place to relax, knowing you have all the amenities available.

Wifi was very patchy and kept dropping out. Breakfast was very standard rather than5 star and could be improved. Spa didn't seem to have the treatment I'd originally put down for and had been offered on the initial menu. The added costs for hammam use for spa was a bit steep to take advantage of.
