Friendly attentive staff welcomed by personal butler taking care of all needs during the stay incl. reservations at restaurants, also seen us goodbye at time of checkout. Our villa had a private pool it was an upgrade to what we've booked (thank you for that)., villa is spacious has all what would make our stay infront of a beatiful wavy beach just peacful and joyable. Food is good , breakfast buffet is delicious with lots of varaietes to choose from incl. Fresh fruits and juices.all Food is Halal which is a plus point. probably one of the best resorts In Mauritius wouLd vIsIt agaIn.

Mosquitos despite insect sprays, not all beach areas are suitable for swimming due to rocks , the north side of the resort where our villa was located has rocky beach, the other side ( villas without private pool) has lovely sand beach, not a problem though, still can reach there by foot!

Wow. I LOVED this place. I was a solo female traveller and had the most wonderful, safe, fun, and welcoming stay at Shanti Maurice. From the moment I arrived I knew it was going to be a very special week. Some of the things I loved: bed was so comfy; loved the bedtime story they left me every night - I read them all!; outside shower!; salt scrub at the spa on day 1, my skin has never been so smooth; beach and sea to swim was meters from my patio door; breakfast was amazing; range of restaurants; rum shed and their vanilla Mauritian rum; afternoon snacks in the club lounge to read my book; activities on site; cute duck house and wildlife pond which I enjoyed everytime I went along the boardwalk to my room; staff were so helpful!; sunset across the bay. Literally everything really! They even helped me celebrate my birthday in a way that made remembering mine and my late grandfathers day special and discrete. Special thanks to Keshan and Vishal at Rum Shed for their warmth and for being so lovely on my final night - thank you to the whole shanti team for a superb job well done and for making my stay at your home so special! I hope to return someday.

The resort is actually a lot nicer in reality than in pictures! Perfect beach, swimming pools were great and we never had to wait for sun beds. There are two main swimming pools and a really nice children’s pool. Kids club was great, really nice staff and a lot of cool activities. There are 4 restaurants in the hotel, all were really nice and had a lot of options. We loved the food :) The rooms are a bit dated but large, comfortable beds and clean. The view is absolutely stunning from the room. Excellent experience! Highly recommended for families.

There is a dress code for dinner at the main restaurant, they require men to wear long trousers which didn’t make sense as it’s really hot.

A magical place to rest. We fully agree with all the positive reviews from the other guests. The Hotel is very well equipped, everything nicely maintained and clean, with an amazing breakfast buffet with many fresh fruits and salads. The staff were nice and friendly, (just like the poor lovely strays roaming around!). We called it harmony :-). The garden is like Eden, with a lot of singing birds and flying foxes. The sea is amazing for snorkelling (more than just swimming), with plenty of corals and colourful fish! And the beautiful beach is cleaned daily. As an aside: the tourists (us included) were feeding the few strays (dogs and cats), because they looked timid and hungry. But we felt a little uneasy about it.... We would have been happy to donate to the hotel to help feed them properly with the right food and look after them (Neuter-Return-Care), as already happens in other places in the world. I am sure that if those animals looked happy - satisfied - no guest would have a reason to worry. The strays are a fact of life on the island and this could be the most respectful and positive way to deal with them. Beautiful, intimate place. Amazingly attentive staff and Manager. Mr. Brice Pean. The first time we have seen a manager’s presence at every meal. The food was outstanding in the rum shed and the 3 guys working there made us feel very special. The lady who was the head concierge was so welcoming every time we came back to the lobby and organised that our golf bags were bought out on time and gave my husband a sleeve of Shanti Maurice golf balls which was a lovely memory. We really enjoyed playing golf at the Avalon golf club where the transport was also included . Lovely quiet beach with beds, coconut umbrellas and towels so inviting. Fabulous short break we had all in all we give 10/10 for the whole stay. Thank you Shanti Maurice team🙏 We had a suite on the beach and the view every morning we woke up to was stunning and the sunsets were out of this world. There was a lovely putting green and giant chess set. All in all a beautiful place and I will look forward to return with my family. Thank you Shanti Maurice for all your attentive , quality services.

Property location is wonderful for a quite get away, all-pampering sunny beach holidays. Spa treatments are superb quality. I appreciated the morning Yoga class.

Transport solutions: the hotel is quite remote, driving is a must for getting around, from local eateries to sightseeing and snorkeling in the Blue bay. Hotel's driver charges are extreme: a 15 min ride requires a full-day payment, and the driver asks for direct payment of an amount higher than the hotel's. It feels as rip-off. The hotel does not assist in booking a regular taxi. The best is to rent a car or to book a taxi yourself from outside the property: these websites are blocked when using the hotel wifi.

Everything about Shanti Maurice is outstanding! Where do I start? It is one of the most thoughtfully conceptualised properties I have stayed at. From the flora and fauna, the avian population, to the beautifully designed rooms and common areas, it reflects an ethos of sustainable luxury. The spa should be on your list when you stay at the property. It is for a reason that they are the top rated spa in Mauritius. My aesthetician was Sheila, and she was amazing. I actually dozed off during the facial, that is how good she was! Overall, I would highly recommend this property for anyone who is looking for a peaceful getaway in very natural surroundings with spectacular views from each room!

That was a peaceful time in Shanti hotel. The only thing that we couldn’t try was sup-boarding, we were unlucky with coming cyclone. Very clean, spacious, perfect mattress and bed linen. Everything was perfect from the first step, we really want to come back once again. The main restaurant was brilliant with food and service. Breakfast had plenty of delicious food, good coffee and very tasty champagne “Cape Bay” that we even tried to find out later in the supermarkets, but failed ))) To cut a long story short - was absolutely worth to visit Shanti🥰

Beach is beautiful, with plenty of sun loungers and beanbags , 3 pools and jacuzzis The yoga classes in the morning were great and the instructor very knowledgeable, kind and welcome Rooms are amazing, all of them facing the beach Bars with live music at night was really nice and food at the restaurants were amazing

I found a bit strange that the Gym only opens from 9:00am until 4:00Pm, exactly the time that you do not want to exercise because of the heat. I would suggest to open the gym from 7:00 until at least 7:00pm
