This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and it was worth every penny. It’s not just a place to stay, it’s a whole package of activities and meals. When I arrived, I was a bit too early for check-in, so I was invited to do a tea tasting on a beautiful balcony overlooking the lake. While I sampled 8 different types of tea, I watched a family of wild boars trot past, and I couldn’t help but laugh when a monkey stole a box of tea from a neighboring table. When I was invited to my bubble lodge, I was blown away by the details - flower petals on the bed, stunning views of nature. It would be perfect for a honeymoon, but I also enjoyed it as a solo traveler. I spent my afternoon watching the animals from my bubble - monkeys, wild boars, a black swan. I also took a long walk around the lake. The dinner (included in the room reservation) was exquisite. Three delicious courses and plenty of vegetarian options. I also really liked the tea bread served with tea chutney. During my dinner, I watched Java deer just outside of the panoramic windows. After dinner, I had a beautiful nighttime walk back to my bubble, and I laid in bed watching the stars and listening to animals rustling in the trees. When I awoke in the morning, I found that a pair of Java deer were looking into my bubble, and the black swan was also right outside. I took a rain shower outdoors with a bit of actual rain mixed in. I had a delicious breakfast that consisted of crepes, an omelet, yogurt, juice, tea, and more of my favorite tea bread. Next I borrowed a bicycle from the lodge and rode it to the tea museum, where I learned all about tea, and then I took a guided tour of the Bois Cheri tea factory. At the end, I had yet another tea tasting, and then it was time to check out of my hotel. All-in-all, I had a perfect stay and I really hope that I will have an opportunity to come back someday. I want to give a special shout-out to Tina, who took really good care of me in the restaurant.

Perfection !! Sleeping under the stars in your bubble, waking up to breathtaking nature—truly, can it get any better? An unforgettable experience that I highly recommend! Spend just one night here, and I promise you won’t regret it!

Everything was absolutely amazing! A slight improvement in the food quality could elevate the experience even further—but that’s just me being a bit picky. One thing to note: I believe a one-night stay would be ideal, as we stayed for two nights and found that it became a bit repetitive. Nonetheless, it was a wonderful experience overall!

The accomodation was a true wonderful experience. The facilities were good.

The service from the staff at the restaurant was not up to standard. The staff were talking loudly among themselves not taking into consideration that the clients were there. We even experienced on cleaner cleaning the floor while we were having our breakfast. Same comment at the Tea tasting area. The staff were chatting loudly even if there were clients there. The staff need customer service training. They don't all wear uniforms. Our experience wee a little jeopardise by a rainy stay. this was of course out of your control.

This is very unique experience. I had the chance to see the monkeys, pigs, and deers who were kind to pay us a visit. The outside shower was a very nice experience and surprisingly has a hot water. The staff were friendly and very helpful especially Stefi.

The food choices were very limited and the taste was very poor. Needs a lot of improvements. I know it is out of their control, but we barely had 2 hours of uninterrupted sleep due to pouring rain and the animal sounds. The carpet and sofa are not very clean and have some stain on them.

Absolutely unique experience in the vanilla lodge as you are completely immersed in the nature of Bois Cheri in the midst of the greenery, lake and animals in the transparent bubble. Watching the sky change from sunset to sunrise from the bubble and hearing all the noises from frogs to ducks while being lucky to have a rain falling and hearing every drop hit the bubble cover was an absolutely exquisite experience. Anusha and Kevin were very kind, friendly, and welcoming. Dinner was amazing and intimate as the whole restaurant is booked for only the 3 bubble lodge guests. Food was excellent both in terms of portions and taste. The tea tasting was a great way to end a very especial experience.

Check-in took a bit long but staff was at least reassuring and friendly. The bubble lodge itself felt a bit smaller than it looks like in pictures but is still very nice.

What a fun experience to spend a night in a bubble surrounded by the tea plantation. It rained the entire first day, so we stayed in playing cards and listening to the rain hit the roof of the bubble. The next day it was sunny (sunnier) and we enjoyed looking up at the sky from the bed. I appreciated the temperature-controlled room and the ingenious HVAC system. The shower under the trees was also memorable. There is wifi and nearly unlimited local tea in the room. Tina, in the restaurant, was very friendly and pleasant. There are deer, monkeys, and wild pigs roaming the grounds which were fun to watch.

The half-board meal plan is a nice touch but half of the dishes on the menu require a supplemental charge. For instance, no meat dishes were available as part of the meal plan--veg, chicken, pasta and pizza only. The food quality was good, but not great. Be careful if you are only spending one night. Included are tea tasting and a visit to the tea factory. However, by the time you are allowed to check-in, the tea factory is already done for the day and you have only an hour to do the tea tasting. I felt that this could have been coordinated/communicated better prior to arrival. We had to leave early in the morning so we did not have time to visit the tea factory.

The location is stunning, set in the middle of a tea plantation, overlooking a lake, the views were simply breathtaking!

The food was terrible, we were promised meals with our package only to get there and be told that half the menu was excluded from that deal and if we wanted certain meals we would have to pay for them. The bubble was really lovely in the evening and at night but was unbearably hot in the day time, the aircon made no difference!

Our stay at the Bubble Lodge Bois Cherie was lovely. Being surrounded by nature in a bubble was a whole new experience that I definitely recommend!! The staff were lovely and when my partner had twisted his ankle at our previous hotel the staff at the Bois Cherie lodge went out of their way to help us with what we needed and to even arrange some crutches for us. The highlight would be the breakfast with the animals walking around it was just so nice to see and very different. The animals were super friendly and the whole trip was just so nice we wish we could have stayed for more nights

Its not that I didn't like it I loved it but the rain on the bubble can get loud so if you are a light sleeper like me definitely use the earplugs that they supply!!

The location and the setting of the lodge is beautiful inside and the outdoor too. Close to nature without any disturbence watching the deer and other animals from our lodge.We stayed in the eco lodge ,the temperature was good due to the airco in the room .Liked the outdoor shower too (it's a nature lodge ;).

We liked the all over experience but there would be some things what make it even better. We were missing a small fridge or coolbox from the lodge. A coffiemachine would have been also nice. Maybe placing relaxing longe beds on the decks instead of chairs . We had all the meals served in the restaurant ,it is empty (what we didn't mind) but maybe serving this in the rooms would give an extra special feeling. The tea tasting session was also a little strange ,we expected more explanation (like with other tastings) but we got tea boxes on the table and hot water ,basically tea drinking . All over it was a nice place but a little too overpriced (was a one time xmas stay present for ourself) .

This was an amazing location, surrounded by nature on the edge of a lake with trees providing privacy. The only company you'll have is frogs and geese and birds. The staff were Super friendly and you get to go to the Tea Museum, factory tour and Tea tasting for free - well worth doing. Also dinner and breakfast in a great location in the Panaromic Restaurant - you can't miss the deer and boars that roam the grounds. A unique stay - and well worth the experience
