We very much enjoyed our stay here. The service is excellent with such friendly and polite staff to tend to all your needs. The all inclusive package was great value, with a variety of food and drinks on offer. We really enjoyed the breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets, with lunch and dinner constantly changing. The freshly baked bread and pastries were great and we loved the egg/omelette, pizza, pasta stations. The activities on offer were also great and we made the most of it - water skiing, tennis, kayaking, gym, spa, etc. Would happily come back!

Pillows were not very comfortable but everything else was great

Best hotel in mauritius, 1st for the price and 1st for performance. Rooms are so close to the sea, you don’t have to change 2-3 golf cars for transport. Sea, pool, volleyball, beach bar, kano, padeling, everthing is too close to each other. You can reach every facility easily. With coconut milkshake you can taste the best pina colada at beach bar. Night activities are perfect also they finish at 11pm so anyone will not be angry for noise. Hotel employees are so kind and helpful. There is a woman near reception, who sells tours for casela or boat tour… She didn’t pay attention for us so I booked our tours from the taxi guys who gets you from airport to hotel.

1. Chauvinist dismissive attitude of male staff esp in dining areas to solo female travellers - ignored, often and very sporadic service 2. Annoying music every night means no option of sleep before 11pm- double glazed windows insufficient. Wake-up is the prompt 6:30am mobilisation of room cleaning trolley… hence not much sleep for an island holiday! I Categorically requested the quietest room and the hotel is designed pretty much so every room is facing the evening entertainment area. So know there is no alternative to this. While it was great so participate some nights… it shouldn’t affect one’s sleep

Half board, breakfast and dinner ok, location good, very good spa. Good facilities and entertainment for kids!

Half board, drinks not included, not even a bottle of water and really expensive. But there are bars and restaurants close to hotel, half price ( beer, food). At the check out I asked to see all the bills I have signed for drinks and food we had during our stay. There were bills included for lunch which I didn’t sign ( stuff signed them!) and luckily I could prove we were on a visit trip all day and it wasn’t us having lunch at the hotel! So check your bills if you don’t have all inclusive package!!!!

Great hotel within walking distance of Grand Baie. The hotel's private beach was lovely and there were always a lot of loungers available. It's easy to get to Port Louis for a day trip too if you want to check it out. The rooms were spacious and airy with a spectacular view of the pools and beach behind. The staff were extremely friendly especially Asraf who cleaned our room. Good variety of food at breakfast and dinner for our half board stay

Sometimes the water supply would cut out and once it happened mid shower which was very annoying At the time of booking it stated that hotel transfer was included with stays of more than four nights but the booking.com page had changed when I checked back and we were informed there would be a charge Clearer communication about what is and isn't included with each room package would be good. We were half board but no drinks were included at dinner time, not even soft drinks or water. As a few people have stated only one bottle of water was provided as complimentary in the room for the entire stay.

We got to hotel a bit late but Tatiana gave us a friendly welcome & a very refreshing signature hotel drink & hot towel, took care of our bags & directed us to the dinner buffet which was about to close & at this point, we met Vikash who was an absolute star throughout our stay, totally unrushed, he got us a bottle of wine & water & advised us on must try dishes from the buffet which was quite refreshing after a full day of travel from South Africa to Mauritius. Mauricia Beachcomber was not just a holiday for us, it really felt like home & made some amazing friends, most especially with the hotel staff that treated us like VIPs on a daily basis. Vikash, Kavi, Arvind, Naresh, Ali, it was always a pleasure been looked after you guys at breakfast & dinner. The spread & variety & quality of the options at both breakfast & dinner was incredible & the themed buffets for each night always kept things fresh, exciting & something different to look forward to. We loved the idea of a fully documented schedule of activities that was stuck up on the notice board the night before so you could plan your day nicely around the Aquagym & Volley-polo & Water-polo at the pool, beach soccer & volleyball, table tennis & billiards contests, live themed music & DJ performances every night. The hotel is perfectly located with walking distance to nearby beaches, shops, restaurants & even shopping mall. Our room was spacious, comfortable, well maintained & extremely clean, thanks to Nishar, our absolutely super star of a housekeeper who aligned to our schedules, both early & late, it was always such a pleasure encountering Nishar, took extra good care of our room & also gave us some extremely useful travel tips of must see places to go to whilst staying at Mauricia Beachcomber.

Absolutely out of the control of the hotel, there was a weather alert for torrential rain so that kept us indoors a bit. Again, nothing to do with the hotel, being in a beachfront room, the music from the nearby parked yachts can go on until 1am to 2am in the morning but even this is a trademark of the bustling nightlife present in Grand Baie & North Mauritius.

water should have been included with dinner, a neighbor was smoking on the balcony so we couldn't enjoy the lovely balcony view, smokers and non-smokers could be divided into different buildings, and when it rained, some people smoked in the dining hall so the smoke came far inside, they could have made it through half an hour without smoking The air conditioning should work as well as in the other Beachcomber. The humidity in the room was not getting out and you could see it from the moldy bathroom seams, and there were mini ants walking around everywhere in the room.

Liked the fact that the hotel was split having a dedicated section for honeymooners. The food menu was diverse, with a lot of options, and most of them were different every day. Being in honeymoon offered us a range of gifts to choose (massage at the SPA, dinner at the a la carte restaurant). The position of the hotel is also very good, in the heart of Grand Baie, having a lot of shops, restaurants, bar and supermarkets just outside the hotel. Also, it is near the public beach, where a lot of daily boat trips are taking place to Ilot Gabriel and Ile Plat. A lot of water activities are offered (kayak, stand up paddle, water bicycle etc)

The hotel needs serious renovation and improvement, especially the bathroom. Some meals at the buffet were quite bland (some curry meals). The attitude of some employees at the restaurant can be improved (we were trying to take a seat at a random table at the buffet, and one lady yelled that is reserved even though there was no sign of reservation. The gym is a joke for a 4-star hotel. Few, old, and rusty equipment and quite small for such a large resort. The food at the a la carte restaurant was average.

A perfect location to have spent the first few days of our honeymoon. We were surrounded by picturesque palms and enjoyed beautiful sunsets every evening. Situated right on the beach front, we felt very safe and relaxed. Our comfortable seafront room came with a safe for our valuables, so no need to take these to the beach. There were plenty of sunbeds, with beach towels provided, and perfect for enjoying the lovely warm ocean or pools. It was a bonus to have access to kayaks and pedaloes included. The delicious food was extensive and varied and presented to a very high standard. Our only disappointments that slightly took the edge off the experience were the charges for drinking water, even at meals, which we found unbelievable. Also, I was happy to leave a generous tip to be shared between all the staff at the end of our stay as the staff were all very helpful, but at times the expectation to tip-as-you-go was a bit too much.

We got a wonderful room with a terrace facing the beach. The room is spacious, cozy, and very clean. The bed is extremely comfortable! The hotel grounds have many green areas—well-maintained and spacious. You’ll always find a sunbed on the beach, as well as by the pool. The beach is clean and maintained daily. The food is delicious—there isn’t an overwhelming variety, but every dish is perfect! It’s great that snorkeling and glass-bottom boat trips are included!

During the stay, the room was provided with only one bottle of water, and no soft drinks were included in the evening (half board).
