location and the facilities. they have amazing backyard pool vibes and bar. the beach is a walk away.

there are no rugs on the bedroom and one has to use the towels as side rugs. if you can also incorporate tea and coffee in the rooms as one wakes up early and want to have the first coffee cup in bed.

The breakfast was adequate for us as it had the necessary requirements a breakfast offers. The staff do take pride in their work and offer any assistance they can to make the breakfast a pleasant experience. The place is 3km away from Grand Baie and easy to get there by bus at a cost of 17 rupees. The place has a great bar and a greater bartender right beside a clean and beautiful pool.

i didnt like an unexpected cyclone as you are not allowed to move anywhere. The host though was very accommodating to allow us to check out and wait at the hotel until the authorities gave the all clear later that evening

I liked the independence for me as a solo traveler and the friendliness of the staff and people who worked there who were able to ask any questions. Facilities were good, and the room was always clean. Pool was nice to relax in and you could get a beer or food anytime. Walking distance from the beaches.

There was construction happening opposite the guest house but that's unfortunately out of the hands of the guest house itself.

Friendly and easy going staff, if you need advice or have a problem or some request they will happily serve you. The bar inside the place adds some points up because the area (at least in February) is not really "alive" so enjoying a drink in a cozy bar under your room feels really good.

More of a mismatch, maybe we should have checked better on the map, but people may think the place it's minutes away by walk from the main beaches, but you actually need a car or you have to get a bus. We had a car so we actually had no problem with that.

Lovely quiet location, clean and simple guesthouse with a nice on-site restaurant . The hosts were warm, helpful, and always smiling. Early check-in and late check-out were offered without hesitation which really made my overall trip experience so much better.Absolute value for money . Definitely recommended .

Both the owner and the staff were friendly, informative, and welcoming. The location is a quick 2 minute walk to a bus route, and therefore accessible to Grand Baie, Peyrebere, Moint Choisy and the rest of the North. They helped arrange tours and transportation as needed. The room was super clean and had the best shower during my entire stay in Mauritius. The amenities and set up in the room were very thoughtful for comfort and a multi-day stay. The breakfast was appreciated. And, the cat is lovely too!

The experience at Sous le Badamier was great. Initially, I booked 3 nights but I decided to extend my stay by 1 more night. Jean Pierre, Sarah and Stephane are very kind and after a trip to e.g. Cap Malheureux it feels like coming home. The atmosphere is very relaxed and with a total of 12 rooms there is a decent chance of having nice conversations without it becoming noisy or crowded. After Jean Pierre and Sarah acquired the guest house ~ 10 months ago, also some upgrades and renovations were performed. Although Sous le Bademier has no direct access to the beach, there is a very relaxed and quiet beach (North) in 20 mins walking distance. Or taste the local atmosphere at the public beach in Grand Baie (East) with some nice shops (30 mins). Head west to Mont Choisy (30 mins as well) for great sunsets. Mont Choisy and Grand Baie are also conveniently accessible by bus, although I preferred walking. Breakfast was really good, freshly served and prepared by a lovely lady. I prefer this 100% over the buffets server at major resorts. Lastly, the WiFi is great and perfectly enabled to make video calls to the people at home.

If you are there by yourself and you want to head to e.g. the beach for a swim, the distance (20 mins of walking) makes that dropping your personal belongings is a bit unpractical.

Very fun decor and atmosphere. The staff were so helpful and nice. Great rooms with fans and ac. Over comfortable, safe, and had everything we needed. Fast WiFi for my work meetings.
