The LUX* Belle Mare is certainly a luxury hotel and the amenities are top-notch! The staff are very friendly and helpful - we want to specifically mention Yashveer and Billal from Maison Lux, the coffee bar, as well as Vikram, one of the porters. They made such a positive impression on us and are truly an asset to the hotel.

I felt that their restaurants were excessively expensive, even for a five-star hotel. I live in Switzerland, which is known for being extremely expensive, and their food and drink prices cost even more than in decent restaurants in Switzerland... which is saying something! But there are some nice local options not far from the hotel, where you'll pay a fraction of the price. Just ask the staff for recommendations!

Overall, a beautiful property. Lovely reception area, pool, beach and dining areas. The chefs at Mondo deserve a shout out as they always went above and beyond. Chef Nancy was amazing with explaining the buffet and what could be done for our dietary needs as well as chefs Singh, Purran, Govind and Naresh. The selection of food at the buffet for both breakfast and dinner was amazing.

The only couple of let down was the check in process where we waited quite long even though it was check in time, and then for none of the staff to explain the location of the facilities. Also considering it’s a newly renovated property, the bathrooms need renovating and deep cleaning.

The location is idyllic, room was great, staff all very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is very clean and aesthetically very very nice. The Indian restaurant is absolutely amazing! The beach restaurant is great too!

No adult pool and the adult zones aren’t regulated. There were a lot of kids and at times it wasn’t very peaceful. The pool was hot! It was quite hard to cool off during the day, with it being mid summer the sea was quite warm so it would have been nice for the pool to be cold to be refreshing, instead it felt like a bath and was extremely shallow in most parts. The buffet restaurant was very overpriced, it was a great a la carte restaurant in the day but turned to a buffet at night. We felt like the hotel missed having another a la carte restaurant as I don’t think many people would have 2 Chinese or Indian dinners in 1 week.

Beautiful property with well maintained lush territory, great beach. Rohan from f&b is an absolute superstar (the only hotel staff member that genuinely belongs to hospitality industry). Beach attendants are very helpful too.

Resort was full of kids. If you are traveling as a couple or with friends probably it is better to look for a different place. We had to move rooms due to screaming kid in another room. Hotel allows kids / babies even in adult section pool area which is really not what you would expect from relaxing holidays. Staff is cold and even a bit arrogant; food selection is great but lack of flavour - even the breakfast buffet is lavish but struggled to find anything tasty (and I am not a fussy eater). Check out and departure experience was also very cold and very transactional. Serious training on customer service needed in this resort, although the hard product is nice.

We had the most wonderful time at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless and exceeded our expectations. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, making us feel welcome and at ease. The beach was absolutely stunning—clean, serene, and perfect for long walks. We spent hours strolling along the shore, soaking in the breathtaking views and the peaceful atmosphere. The sound of the waves and the soft sand made it an ideal place to relax and unwind. Pool was quiet and there was always a lot of spots available. Waterbottles and beach bag were provided ! The breakfast was simply fabulous, offering a wide range of delicious options to suit all tastes. It became one of the highlights of our mornings. We highly recommend going for the bed and breakfast package, and go to *Amari by Vineet* offered a luxurious Indian dining experience . *The Duck Laundry* was a fun and creative take on Asian fusion, while *Beach Rouge* provided a perfect beachfront dining experience, combining incredible views with a diverse menu. The ICI corner with icecream is so cool too. And a lot more to discover there. The hotel offers a variety of activities during the day, including arts and craft workshops, which were a fun and relaxing way to spend the afternoons (painting on bottle, dream catcher workshop..). The tennis court was available free of charge (you only need to pay for the tennis balls), which was a nice touch for active guests like us. You have access to everything on the App, you can book the restaurants, the activities. so smooth. We also loved spending time exploring the boutique at the hotel, which had an amazing selection of items. Overall, we can’t recommend this place enough. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing retreat or a place with plenty to do, this hotel offers the best of both worlds. Every aspect of our stay was lovely, and we can't wait to return.

While our stay at this hotel had its good moments, we were quite frustrated with the bathroom service. The products were never refilled properly during our entire stay. It seemed like we were always missing something—whether it was shampoo, towels, bathrobes, or body lotion, which became pretty annoying over time. It was especially inconvenient to have to constantly request these basic items. That being said, the staff was super responsive whenever we reached out. They were quick to resolve the issue each time, but the need to repeatedly ask for such essentials did affect our overall experience. My sister went there in March and had a cute bracelet that they forgot to give us... hopefully next time :)

As honeymooners, we were treated to so many thoughtful surprises: cocktails and appetizers delivered to our room, a wonderful couple’s spa treatment, and a private cooking class, all arranged seamlessly by a dedicated celebration manager who made everything feel effortless. The food was fantastic, with plenty of delicious options at every meal. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the quality and presentation were top-notch. Lux* Belle Mare isn’t just a beautiful resort — it’s a place where you’re truly cared for. We left with full hearts and lifelong memories. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a special, luxurious, and personalized experience in Mauritius.

Amazing service at all times from all staff, perfect location with amazing beach and swim.

Some small details (paint is off in toilet for example, few stains on sofa and curtain) show that the place would benefit from an easy freshen up.

There is not much to NOT like The design and flow of the spaces are beautiful and visually stimulating. The beach is well maintained and felt safe for the kids to explore. The resort was at full capacity, yet didn’t feel crowded. The celebrations manager & team went out of their way to make our trip a memorable and special one.

Random stray dogs along the beach. We had an ongoing issue with the toilet where there was a smell emanating every few hours from the toilet. Housekeeping tried their best to assist but the smell persisted during our stay. Staff were either extremely friendly and helpful or not friendly at all. There was no in between.

The room I had was a junior suite with a beachfront view. It was beautiful and the king-sized bed was so comfy. Cleaners came almost every 3 hours to clean and ensure I had everything I needed. The food was amazing! I was spoilt for choice. There was so much variety and you could always find what resonated with your locality. The beach was amazing and the spa was fab. The Chinese restaurant was fantastic 😋

Some of the staff were unfriendly but were friendlier to the white race. The spa was fab but too pricey. The birds bothered during meal times. I found that very annoying as some of the seats and tables had bird poo. Went to the pool house restaurant for dinner and saw a rat running around. I fled when I saw lizards as well crawling on the floor.

The hotel is over the top. The best 5-star hotel we ever stayed in, much better than recognised brands (kike Shangri La). It is so beautiful and well-maintained. Every detail says how much the owners love what they do. They clean the beaches at night, cut grass and maintain gardens and ponds with golden fishes so they look like a picture. Even towels smell lavender! All kinds of activities every day: surfing, wakeboarding, sailing, catamaran etc, sports classes, art workshops, outdoor cinema, music bands and DJ etc. And everything is very high-quality. SPA is huge. Food: another 10 stars, we tried all their restaurants and we loved everything. The breakfast buffet is impressive, better than in fancy restaurants. Very famous pastry chef. Just wow!!! Still remember their deserts… We will definitely come back!
