From beginning to end it was great to be so close to the turquoise sea. Very relaxing! The activities at the boat house were more than I expected. The room was very nice and what I expected. It was also good they came to make up the room every day and supplied a fresh beach towel daily. Nice pool and actually a good price quality ratio. It was a perfect last few days to end our holiday. I also really liked the resort's coco bar. Good meal with amazing view! Breakfast was good!

Awesome sea view from bedroom, Exceptional high standards of a huge variety of items on the menu. The different fish offerings were the best we ever experienced, in any restaurant, in our 45 years of travels, that includes several boat cruises. The coffee was also 100% the best. We found the staff to be accentually friendly and went out of their way to accommodate special requests. They want to please their guests. Christofe was the Best in dining! The tropical gardens inside the resort were a real joy to be in. No screaming and shouting kids running all over the show - so nice and relaxing, calm & tranquil atmosphere. Everything was cleaned perfectly from everything in dining to everything in room service. As a Host of 2 x properties on Booking.com myself, i look at different aspects and Solana ticked all the boxes for me.

We could not afford the SPA, as we from South-Africa and our ZAR currency is 18 x times weaker than the $, which makes everything extremely expensive for us from ZA, but affordable for guests that has $

all rooms were Beach/ocean views, the room was clean and good size

Shower old, shower screen not adequate, water ran out on the floor - needs updating They offered an all inclusive drinks and food package, but it was not all inclusive. they try and get additional costs for various things, not really worth it. Limited in the offer and this was not explained properly.

The location was good, and the meals and staff were good. The evening entertainment was good .

No water was available for tea or coffee in the room. This is the first hotel in all our travels that did not provide us with drinking water. Further, we had to pay R120 for a glass of water. Refer to our invoice. I'm very disappointed.

From entering to leaving, the staff were attentive, hard-working and friendly. My room was cleaned every day. The choice of food at the buffet was varied and healthy. Special mention to Diya, one of the dining staff, who was friendly, very good at her job and always smiling. Usha in the hotel Spa gave me a wonderful salt scrub and deep tissue massage. Best yet!. I would like to thank every one of the staff for their dedication to their jobs and for hosting my stay. The staff really make this place even more exceptional.

Room smelt a little damp and the entertainment could be better.

Solana Beach was my honeymoon location and my wife was very pleased with the facilities. The seaview room was exquisite and the sea activities organised by the hotel was superb.

We wanted an extra mosquito repellant device but we're only give the insecticide spray. Also, at the time of leaving, perhaps due to language miscommunication, a staff called us to ask when we would be leaving, giving the impression that the return trip to the airport was free (part of the money we had paid). We also called later to double check and the person said it was free. In the morning of our departure, we were waiting for the hotel taxi to drive us to the airport only to be told that the free package that had been referred to was for breakfast. We had organised a different car which we cancelled because of the assurance from the hotel. We eventually had to pay about 3000 Mauritian rupees instead of 2000 rupees that we had arranged with our different car.

Staff was very kind and was always ready to help. They did everything us to feel comfortable. Half of the beach is like a dream. The gardener makes a really good job, the garden looks stunning. The New Year’s Eve gala dinner was organised very well, the meals were delicious and the whole thing was for free.

As others said in the reviews, it’s more like a three stars hotel then a 4 stars, its facilities need thorough maintenance. Although, most of the time the hotel was very peaceful and relaxing, but in some days (we believe) they let in ‘short time’ visitors who ruined the experience on those days.

Beautiful resort right on the beach Loved the pool, view, free boat ride, pedalos and amazing snorkelling. Kind staff particularly Harsh the porter who made us laugh a lot. WiFi did not work in our room but worked well outside Fridge didn't work very well Plugs were limited but they were happy to provide an extension cable for us to borrow I read reviews in advance that drinks are expensive but we had bought water in advance and they did not take issue with this. Also the restaurant food seemed comparable to local restaurants in price so reasonable.

visiting this hotel alone is enough visit to Mauritius. there are tonnes of activities to do at the Boat House that you’ll forget to go to town. be ready to pay for some water activities if you want maximum fun (free ones aren’t that fun). our best experiences are the water activities we paid for. also there is a mall at Flacq not so far away (about 20min drive) called Super U. so if you rented a car do we’ll go visit there and remember to buy your own water at one of the road side stores as water is overpriced at the hotels also, pay for dinner and breakfast, you’ll love the buffet as there are tonnes of choices to select to eat. good too if you want lunch.

The hotel has a fantastic beach covering half of the resort. You can enjoy the sea waves with grainy sands flowing around in the sea, you could also relax yourself on the seashore for a glass of drink and enjoy the sunbath on the beachchair offered by the hotel. The beach is for sure one of the greatest one I experienced.

The room was quite average though. Toilet without outside window and the half-open shower room were not really our favorite. The water in the shower is generally weak. The room is also somehow noisy in the late evening, not so sure beacause of the ventilation or the fridge in the room.
