In the Plaza you have such a wonderful employee named Raul! We look forward to going and having breakfast ever morning because he always remembers us and treats us very kind! We’ve been coming for 5 years now, he has made these last 3 plus years so great we have not chosen to stay at any other hotels. There are a lot of cheaper hotels with great ratings, but we know we could not expect to receive such wonderful service as that we get with Raul! He is a great employee and knows how to keepp the customers happy and coming back.

The price, the pools sun deck being closed for so many days in a row for maintenance! We just wanted to lay out in the sun, but NO, not allowed, because BEES might be a problem. Should have been informed of this at BOOKING! That really ruined 3 great days! Couldn’t you have waited for the storm that came in right after you reopened? The cost to stay here has really went up so much we are GAVING to consider staying elsewhere! We will just have to make a special trip to see Raul. Very disappointed in your pricing increase.

The parking situation was very confusing and shady. As a hotel guest, I was told parking would be validated with only a small fee (around 2 USD). But when leaving, the gate staff tried to charge me 50 USD, even after seeing the validated ticket. I had to run back to the hotel for confirmation. It felt like they were trying to take advantage of confused tourists until I insisted on verifying. The whole experience makes me suspect that it's a common practice from them to trick money from the US tourists.

There are plenty of places to walk to nearby to get food and other things. The hotel staff are very friendly and the buffet is so good. My spouse and I enjoyed the buffet and the fact that our hotel room had a fridge in it (double beds room) We were able to buy food at a local grocer and save. Oh, also they have a casino attached to the hotel. Didn't get an opportunity to enjoy the pool, but maybe next time.

There was a strange egg smell that pervaded the hallways and room at odd hours of the night.

Large room. Comfortable bed. Brought an extra small fridge up to the room for us to store our food for the week.

There should be a small table and 2 chairs in the room to sit with your coffee and snacks, or play games. There is plenty of room to add this. We brought our own folding table and chairs to facilitate this. It made it much more comfortable and user friendly.

The shower in my room was outdated, and the water wasn't too warm. I think it would be good to have sugar, milk, honey and a spoon in the bedroom, for the coffee facilities Mirror facing the bed i personally think isnt good. But these are my preferences and observations. I still thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will come again

The pool is very nice and clean. Nice comfortable beds, pillows are still too hard, but they are getting a bit softer through time. Milo ( door man) is top notch and is always friendly to us! He is a wonderful representative for the Grand Hotel Tijuana! The Plaza breakfast and dinner options are great. Everyone is very nice here. They have great hot water!! We just love this hotel, we just keep coming back time and time again.

The MUSIC being played at the pool was WAY TOO LOUD! The first day we went to the pool we ended up leaving because we could not relax and read our books. The next time we realized it was not another customer it was the hotel staff. Had to speak to management to get them to turn it down (off preferred) so we could enjoy the pool for a while. The other 2 people out there agreed it was TOO LOUD and they were THANKFUL we had spoke to management to get it shut off.

Nice hotel the pool was nice and relaxing. The food at the restaurant was good. The customer service was excellent except for a few girls at the reception desk.

The room was basic had a strong paint smell the beds was uncomfortable the TVs need an upgrade some that have streaming service. The parking is not free every time you leave you have to pay 20 pesos or $1 USD but you need the parking ticket stamped at the reception desk to get that price if not you will have to pay full price.

Amazing View by the pool. Very organized. Felt like there was security everywhere.

Buffet was nice except I believe they charge on gender. The room don’t have a refrigerator. Bathrooms are a bit small. Beds and pillow are a little firm. Parking was a little headache. It’s better to pay for the day rather than hour. You do have to get your ticket stamped everytime you leave the garage in the car. Pool closes by 9pm

Hotel, pool. Jacuzzi, bar, great value. Restaurant is ok. Service great ! Prices are in line with the finer hotels. But the rooms are a great value. Very happy with Grand.

They don't have a ball busting chef in charge. The drinks in the new elegant expensive bar are great. But the rest is amateur hour. They need to fire some people and hire better in thst area.
