Chan-Kah Resort is a jungle gem just minutes from the Palenque ruins. The highlight is undoubtedly the stunning pool, which winds like a natural lagoon through lush greenery. Staff are exceptionally friendly – special mention to Yleen for her warm and welcoming service. The food is flavorful and well-presented, with delicious cocktails to match. Don’t miss the Mango Margarita! The setting, surrounded by howler monkeys and tropical sounds, adds a unique charm to your stay.
While the bungalows could use a bit of a refresh, the magical atmosphere more than makes up for it. One small downside: tips are written manually on the bill and can only be paid in cash. In 2025, many European

The location was about 15 mins in a taxi from the hustle & bustle of Palenque - when we stayed the whole place was quite deserted - felt a bit odd ! We loved hearing the wildlife around the resort, especially the monkeys! Pool is great - although looking a little tired & deep end quite hard to get into. Rooms are lovely, especially the large dressing/ wardrobe area The magical ruins of Palenque are a very short walk away - the museum worth a visit although closed on Mondays .
Restaurant expensive - £11 for two cups of tea - so I would definitely get a cab into town for supper. The cabins are not very soundproof, especially if your neighbours are outside on their porch late at night - so take your earplugs! Please add a water fountain for refills to avoid constant plastic bottles !

Our 2 lovely cabins were at the edge of the resort and when waking up we saw (and heard :-)) many howler monkeys, very unique experience. Beautiful and well maintained pool. Great location to visit the Palenque archeological zone.
In house restaurant is convenient, but rather expensive and not super quality. Some of the staff are not very warm or customer oriented, compared to the smaller hotels we stayed in before. We were ignored by the restaurant staff when asking info about the games and when one of our daughters was sick and could not enjoy the mandatory Sunday breakfast buffet, we were charged almost 7 Euros for a small bowl of cornflakes.

Great location just next to the archaeological site. In the middle of the jungle with beautiful trees, birds and iguanas. Great Mexican/jungle/a little bit old school architecture. Very clean. The swimming pool is very nice and a great refreshment after the visit. Some of the food in the restaurant is really good for dinner.
The rooms don’t get clean before 2 or 3 PM unless you tell the reception otherwise. The pool area was not exactly clean and well maintained. The breakfast is average at best.

Rooms are surrounded green and vegetation, visible thanks to the glasses all around resulting in a very suggestive experience in the jungle. The restaurant is good and margaritas are a top choice! The swimming pool is very nice and large.
Very few sun beds around the pools, difficult to find and no shower at the pool or anywhere apart from the room. Not clear explanations from the reception about the services.

One of the great experiences we literally would wake up early in the morning to go outside to see monkeys on the trees and other animals the were safe to see and roam around the rooms. It was a beautiful experience. The staff there was super nice and their Starbucks drinks were delicious as well. It was such a relaxing time and the pool was amazing as well we were there most of our days have a drink while taking a swim and seeing monkeys best place I’ll definitely will be going back.

This place felt like a true oasis in the jungle. I loved it all, the spacious private bungalow, the pool to relax at, the beautiful restaurant with extensive menu, the perfecf Wifi throughout the entire location. This was our perfect place to relax in between our Mexico road trip.
When there were larger groups in the hotel, the staff tried to force upon us the breakfast buffet, instead “a la carte”. The buffet with 550$ per person is expensive and not worth the price for what you’re getting. Much better to order something tasty from the breakfast menu which is cheaper too. When we strongly told them we didn’t want the buffet it was okay, but they did it with all the others guests too.

I liked very much the swimming pool...extraordinary spot. Though, maintenance is being announced by having blue paing being washed by time/sun. Take car of that swiming pool, is a mine!
Is only a detail but there is a room for improvement: was my wife anniversary and nor the staff nor the reception...no one made a detail for such special day. A very tiny detail can count a lot. I ended asking in the morning for a small cake with a candle or something. Staff in the restorant were very nice by providing the necessary to remember that day. Special thanks for them. For the money is paid and being classified as spa...I think you should pay attention to dates or ask during check-in.

Fully integrated into the jungle environment.
It actually looked too fancy when we first arrived and we were concerned that it was going to feel too corporate. But, over the course of a few days we found it to be very relaxing and nurturing.

It's a very nice resort for those who don't like typical resorts (by the beach). Being able to chill out on your deck in a lush forest was amazing. The room itself was large and fairly modern, with good WiFi throughout the complex (no web meeting issues). Most of the staff was excellent and friendly.
I didn't find the reception staff friendly. Again, the maintenance, restaurant and cleaning people were very warm, but reception didn't smile (for whatever reason). I was early and while I didn't expect to get a room, they expressed no level of care (like other hotels) to get me anything early. The room I got (in a fairly vacant, from what I could tell, complex, so there were other options) was right beside a unit under construction repair. The crew was loud with music and stayed late after work just to chat. It was extremely annoying.
