The entire hotel/house is beautiful, colorful, and inviting. It is very close to El Jardin (main square); about 2.5 blocks away. The hotel's street is quiet and away from the tourist bustle. My room was que linda! It was pretty, clean, and had everything you need. Amazingly, when you shut the windows, it would block the noise from the neighboring street. The breakfast was quite good and the folks working there were terribly sweet. Oh, and don't forget the rooftop terrace - I'd sit there every afternoon to read a book and take in the view. If I came back to SMA, I will definitely stay here again.

No air conditioning. But a ceiling fan keep it cool.

Beautiful artistic Dining room with light and plants. Individual placement with condiments on the table ( yogurt, granola, jams,etc) Each guest provided with a personally prepared delicious breakfast served by Rosa and her staff-ie (eggs-many choices, pancakes, oatmeal-we asked for it GF) individual plate of freshly cut fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, basket of pastries, unlimited good coffee/tea/filtered water. Lovely relaxing way to start a busy day. The highlight of Casa Maricela was the 4th floor wide open terrace surrounded by plants, comfortable furniture and the gorgeous vista of the city from above ,especially the church steeples and ringing bells early mornings with a cup of delicious coffee. Meditative! At night the lights were glorious and peaceful. Amazing supportive, kind & sensitive staff-Mauricio greeted us & carried our luggage to second floor (no elevators, 3 floors) & gave us a tour of our rooms & the Casa especially Kitchen which we could use to make coffee(instant) tea. Rosa seemed to be the main organizer of the house assisted by 2 staff with breakfast and keeping the Casa, our rooms and the terrace very clean. Fridge on each floor. Filtered water tank on each floor. Bottled water available. Had a minor medical issue with my ear, Rosa’s help was most appreciated providing us with the name of the hospital. Positive outcome.

My sweet small bedroom, which met my needs did not have the shower stall surrounded by a small barrier on the floor, separating the shower from the toilet floor. Longer shower curtain touching floor more helpful. Floor mat & extra towel used to soak up the water.

The breakfast was terrific. The cook would make anything we wanted. We usually had fresh fruit, toast, huevos rancheros or pancakes, bacon, ham, coffee, and fresh squeezed orange juice. There was also cereal and yoghurt if you wanted it. Breakfast was always served with a smile. The location was great — a few blocks from the Jardin. The rooftop was fabulous, at any time of day, but especially at sunset and at night when you could see the Parrochia all lit up, and the other buildings all around it. We would definitely go back to Casa Mariela.

The decor was okay, but they could brighten up the interior with more colorful pillows, bedspreads, art, etc.

Great location, easy walk to plaza. Lots of restaurants nearby. The rooftop terrace was a beautiful place to sit and admire the view. Very comfortable beds, slept very well. Staff was nice and always helpful. Everything was very clean. Great water pressure in showers, but sometimes the hot water ran out. Initially, we parked in a lot at the end of the street for 500 pesos per day, but were able to find street parking later.

There was some construction going on nearby.

The hotel has a beautiful roof top patio with a 360 view over San Miguel. Also located close to the main square. The place is decorated with many pots of beautiful plants and flowers that greet you when you enter. Room is well appointed, clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly, helpful, and very kind. Breakfast was amazing!! Made to order every morning, except on Sundays. Definitely a great place to stay for a good price.

You cannot ask for a better location than this B&B. Breakfast was served each morning and that’s when you had a chance to catch up with and get to know the other guests. The house is beautiful and be sure to go out to the rooftop each day. Gorgeous views.

If you’re an early riser, say before 8am, you’re waiting for coffee. Really, though, that’s not even a complaint just something I noticed because I was up around 6am trying to catch the sunrises each morning. Staff isn’t there at that time.

I loved everything about this little gem. The room was super ckean and comfy with enough wardrobe space and extra hooks in the bathroom. Views from the rooftop terrace were stunning. Casa Maricela is ideally located near the main plaza but quiet at the same time. The cooked-to- order breakfasts were ample and fantastic.

There was not much of a view from our twin room on the first floor. It took quite a while for hot water to arrive in the shower. Breakfast starts only at 8:30 am.

Our 3-night stay was a delight. We were greeted warmly by Jesús and shown to our room, which was on the top floor where the beautiful terrace is located affording a great view of San Miguel. The breakfast was amazing. The woman who cooked every morning made eggs any way you wanted them, and also served a nice fruit platter while having coffee. The location of the hotel was perfect - walking distance to everything we needed to see in San Miguel. We slept well - the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was a good size. We would stay again - mil gracias!

This b&b was a true find. Centrally located and beautiful. The room was extremely comfortable as well as the bed. The dining room is a great place to meet new friends and very comfortable. The kitchen was amazing to cook in. The staff were so very helpful and did everything they could to accommodate us.The breakfasts served in the morning were excellent. The Terrazas was better than any of the expensive restaurants to watch the sunsets. The views from the rooftop were outstanding.

A beautiful place in San Miguel de Allende, recommended to everyone coming by here to stay. When you enter, you get greeted warmly and walk through a corridor of colorful pots with greenery. Head towards the rooftop with the most incredible landscape view of the city. Hands down, better than fancy hotel rooftop bars, dont waste time and money there. The rooftop in Casa Maricela is one of the most amazing viewpoints of the city. Rooms are clean, spotless and warm even during winter nights. Shower runs smoothly and you have two bottles of water provided. Staff are like family here. The host is also just incredible. You shouldnt miss the breakfast in the morning with coffee. A place I would definetly come back to.
