Clean, well maintained facilities but let's be honest: this is a hotel so cleanliness and hot water in the bathroom should be a given, not a luxury. This hotel overpromises its services: coffee is not included, breakfast downstairs costs extra, you only get one clean towel, and you must buy your own drinking water (there is no "garrafón" available to fill up a cup). Also, if you book over Booking.com you will be charged an extra 150-200mxn during check-in (I don't think that's even allowed) and you cannot dispute the up-charge. All these small details made me feel cheated from my stay.

The staff were excellent. I would give them above and beyond meeting customer expectations. Made our stay very comfortable.

I really enjoyed my stay at the suites Chapultepec. It’s a nice small boutique style hotel in a great area. Chapultepec and centro are in walking distance from the hotel. My room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is safe secure. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. They have a nice cafe connected to the lobby that has great coffee. For the price I don’t think you’ll find anything better. I booked a room for a couple days and ended up extending it a week. I highly recommend it!

The customer service was solid. The staff at the lobby were kind and attentive, always ready to assist. I appreciated their willingness to store my luggage for free after I checked out, which was very convenient. The room was clean and tidy. It was clear that the housekeeping team does a good job.

The area did not feel safe, and the lobby has a gate that remains locked even during the day, which is often a sign of a less secure neighborhood in Mexico. The hotel itself could use some improvements. The furniture and the building appeared rundown, and I noticed some humidity stains on the walls. I would have thought this is expected because of how cheap it was; however, I found another option for just $5 USD more that was nicer and located in a better area.

Great location close to all the sites you'll want to see in central Guadalajara. Also close to many restaurants and shopping.

The kitchen could have used some newer pots and pans for cooking.
