Loved the location. The room was super clean. Bed was comfortable and plenty of pillows. The room had a safe, coffee maker, iron and blow dryer. Full size mirror. Room service and a small bar area where you can have some drinks. The restaurant has good coffee. Definitely would stay there again!

Wish the had early check-in. We arrived before noon but had to wait till 3pm to get our room. They did hold our luggage upon arrival.

Good location, helpful staff, nice large room. The room was not very well sound proofed so you could hear everything from the street - which for me is not a problem - but some people may struggle to sleep. The biggest issues were the wifi (poor connection, and if you could connect it was patchy and nothing would load sometimes), and the lack of a fridge in the room to store food and drinks to keep cold. The bed was also quite short, I'm 6ft and I had to curl up to get my legs into the bed. Wouldn't be comfortable for taller people.

We were at the Portobelo for 4 nights and left our car in the spacious safe underground parking at the hotel. Ubers were quick, inexpensive & a safe way to zip around the city. Our Deluxe Suite room (304) was comfortable and clean with things replenished each morning by the dedicated housekeeping staff. Our room had a very large curved glass window that was good at keeping out the sound of the traffic below. We enjoyed our breakfasts in the hotel each morning and one dinner as well where the staff was all keen to get everything right. By the 2nd morning they already knew I was there for a to go cappuccino. This neighbourhood has several universities so it was a pleasure to see so many young people around. We felt safe to walk to restaurants and home in the evening. Very happy beginning to our Historical Heartland trip.

Easy access and walking distance to everything.

Professional, courteous, helpful. I was waiting for an early check in and my luggage was left in a room. Somehow when I went to retrieve it, the handle was broken. I left it again with them to fix it..On the last day of my stay they returned it and it looked like it was fix. However when I checked out the handle fell apart again. I had to make my flight . They taped it so I could at least get home. They promised to fix it when I come back after Easter sometime. I was unhappy but at least felt this hotel has integrity and care about their customers.

Location was excellent for my needs. I walked everywhere from the hotel, in all directions: Centro district, my resident friend's home, etc. Staff was warm and welcoming. Room was totally ready, including water bottles. I loved the restaurant: long hours, good menu. room service option (I liked better to sit downstairs with other guests.) Good setup for anyone with a handicapped family or friend travelling with them. Elevator works well. I had a large room, easy to move around in for anyone with mobility problems. Good floor plan in my room.

There is no reading lamp that you can switch on, bedside. One outlet near entry door operates all lights in the room. I loved the direct view of streets outside (a major intersection.) However, I needed my earplugs to sleep at night. There is a fair amount of traffic noise.

Everyone was friendly except for the servers in the hotel restaurant never smiled and seemed quite bored. The ambience in the lobby was cheerful. The furniture was comfortable and big windows in the lobby gave a nice view of the street and lit up the place with lots of light/sun. The receptionists spoke both English and Spanish and were very helpful and kind. I loved the lounge where you could get a nice drink and relax.

I didn't like the bathroom. There was no bright or natural light. It was small, so I felt claustrophobic. The water pressure in the shower was low.

-Very good location, close to the downtown. -The bed and the pillows was confortable. -Enough towels, enough bed clothes. -The staff was super nice and friendly. -With air conditioning, elevator, parking, restaurant, bar. -Super clean.

-The hidro massage/bad tub give to the room a particular smell because was just there in the middle, who I didn't like it. -I'm a particular sensitive sun person, so I didn't like that the curtains didn't cover all the big window totally.

The service, especially the room service was excellent. The car parking was good. All the staff were friendly and helpful. It had a smart tv which was great as I could get my English Premier League matches on Paramount Prime! Excellent. The room was big. The restaurant was very good too.

The hotel is situated in between several big main roads so throughout the night there were emergency services waking us up and the traffic generally was heavy! We did ask whether they had quieter rooms and it seems there are if requested.

Location, room and helpful staff.

We were told on arrival that the booking system of the hotel or booking.com had been hacked. We should have guessed when we were asked in emails to confirm our credit card. The first two (Visa and MC) didn’t work but Amex did. We have cancelled/locked the Visa and MC and will be watching all three very carefully. Your advice and assurances will be appreciated, perhaps necessary.

Modern, very nice decor, clean, comfortable beds, restaurant and bar onsite

We wouldn’t have chosen this location if we’d known that the surrounding neighborhood wasn’t nice. Lots of traffic, pedestrians and closed-up storefronts with graffiti. We’d hoped there would’ve been upscale restaurants within walking distance but we had to take Uber every time we went out to dinner. However it is well-located for the Cathedral and other historic sites.
