Good attention of staff & clean. The only thing I didn't like was that room didn't have window. And the breakfast is not really breakfast just marmalade and some bread outside for you to toast it. But it's a good thing I guess. What I appreciated was the cold water outside

Great location, kitchen, coffee, nice staff, common area was nice.

Avoid room #3 at all costs. I’m not very picky but the room smelled very very bad, the comforter looked old, the toilet didn’t flush, and there was a dead cockroach under the bed. Don’t let this deter you from staying here though, I saw many of the other rooms and they all looked very nice with no smell at all. Nothing at all like room #3. Had I stayed in another room I probably would have rated this place a 10.

We arrived at night and the location just seem unsafe. Do not arrive late. The parking is two blocks down from hotel, so imagine walking in an unfamiliar place at night. There is no one in front desk after certain hour. It was hot and no air conditioning only a single fan. There was a space in the restroom that didn't seem right. As if there was another room there. Anyone could be there watching they call it a plafon. I really can't say the serve breakfast.

The common areas are useful, and the atrium sitting area is very pleasant. The wifi worked well (accounting for typical gaps in Mexico). The manager was pleasant flexible when around.

There is no housekeeping at all for the rooms, and halfway through my stay, maintenance of the common areas seemed to stop. Garbage overflowed the bins, dishes piled up in the sink, and drinking water and supplies ran out. The rooms are dark and stuffy (no windows, limited ventilation). Perhaps this property shouldn't call itself a hotel. With some attention it could be a nice enough guest house.

The location would have been good.

This paranoid operator has dictorial policies, which it does not disclose on booking.com. It "insists" that it is "mandatory" that you provide the ID and data of both you and your companion with a 3rd party called guesty.com. I informed them I would provide ID at the time of check-in, but not to a 3rd party. From the narrative, it appeared that they finally agreed. By this time, it was too late. We had booked accommodation at another hotel in Tlaquepaque. We were so glad we did, even though we were out the cost of the 3 nights we had booked at Hostpal Hotel Mansion. At Hostpal Hotel Mansion, the extensive check-out procedures state: "House rules are very valuable to us. We always strive to keep it in excellent condition...This involves a lot of physical and financial effort." Based on reviews, this is questionable. Regardless, sharing of ID and personal data with a 3rd party should not be a requirement of check-in. If so, it should be stated in the policies before paying for the accommodation. The Hotel has not reached out to compensate me in any way.

Nothing. I reserved this room months before my trip and when I arrived to the property they told me that they changed of management and did not take any responsibility. I struggled to find another hotel and ended up spending more money than expected.
