I have stayed here many times. In terms of room views, they are the best in PV with such easy transportation to the city at not too high a price. We saw whales and sting rays many times from the balcony and down by the pool. The vibe is definitely an older crowd with a random family or two staying there in high season. I stayed in the newly renovated rooms this time and my goodness they are much much nicer than the older rooms.

This time it was all new staff so definitely needed some patience for check in/check out. The food is terrible and really needs an upgrade. Because the city is a bus ride/uber away they really need to have better options, alternatively there are kitchen facilities in the rooms so best to buy things to cook.

The hotel is located at the best possible location at the base of mountain and facing the beautiful ocean with blue water. The speciality of the hotel is that every kind of room faces the ocean.They have private beach as well which is like ocean connected to swimming pool where you can snorkle or enjoy waves with family. I visited with my family at the season of whales and luckily, we could observe whales even from hotel room. The staffs are so polite and welcoming and try to help and take care of the guests in every possible way. Right from the location to the infrastructure inside hotel and the really wonderful staff,I will give 10 out of 10.It is the best place you can imagine for vacations.

The view from the room is amazing!

This is not a complaint, just a FYI. The breakfast included in the stay is not brought to your room. It's at the main restaurant by the pool on the ground floor. It was buffet when I went. If you want breakfast in your room, book without breakfast option, and order room service instead. Regardless, the breakfast buffet was solid. My favorites were chorizo scrambled egg and Mexican style chicken (forgot the actual name of the dish).

The food and service was exceptional. The coconut shrimp were the best ever. The activities were fun and the resort was clean and comfortable. I can see why people stay here again and again. The ocean by the resort was amazing with whales, manta rays, and dolphins playing under my balcony. I won't say anywhere else.

There was no negatives at all

- Warm pool. - Bar service is good and friendly. They even come when you are in the pool and suggest to bring what you want. - Interesting activities during the day (water gymnastics and yoga, volleyball in pool, bingo, music trivia, etc). Volleyball in pool is the best. - Great view from sunset terrace. Great view from room. - Room is big, and has a kitchen with cookware. - There is a convenience shop next to lobby, it’s a bit expensive but has everything you need. (including medicine)

- Didn’t like check-in. We arrived at 13:00 (regular time for check in is 15:00). The room wasn’t ready even at 15:15. It was finally available at 16:00. - Included breakfast is a bit limited - you have fruit plate with either eggs or chilaquiles or pancakes, if you want omelette or chilaquiles with extra egg you need to pay extra. - On one of the evenings there was the super bowl and menu had only fast food options like burgers and french fries. (Italian food from yesterday was missing). Had to go to italian La Dolce Vita Zona Romantica restaurant nearby. - There are no changing rooms next to the pool. You have to use bathroom instead.

Helpful and friendly staff. Nice ocean view from the room.

Not easy to walk for restaurants or shopping nearby. Need to use taxis every time. Nosiy from the road traffic at night. SHould consider noise reducing methods. Wasn't informed of the nearest beach (Estacas Beach) which we would definitely have visited had we known.

The staff were so welcoming and friendly, made you feel like old friends. The staff was truly the highlight!

The room was super clean, just older. Also, I wish they would have cleaned the bird poop off the chairs at the pool and on our patio more often. I know it is probably a never-ending job, but prefer a clean chair to put my stuff on.
