Check in was extremely easy. The staff was very friendly. My room was spotless. I stayed in room 229. The grounds were well kept. Lots of water machines and the wifi was good, no problems. It doesn’t advertise that you can get it in your room, but I was able too. I had a really good stay there.

My bed was a bit hard, but that’s nothing really!

The staff is superb, they literally have accommodated all the requests. Also with the swimming pool closed for renovation they offered free sunbeds on the beach (cost is 30 usd per day normally) and also a late check out. The room was spacious and clean. Very confortable and with enough towels and accessories needed. Also the hairdryer while seeming small it is very powerful unlike many hotels. The hotel is not particularly new and not high ends but totally worth the money. Excellent value for money. Definetely coming back here later in November to enjoy the pool Position is perfectly located a few mins away from the ferry pier and for playa Norte and playa centro.

Rooms were comfortable and clean. Pool area was big and comfortable with bar and restaurant right next to it. Shower didn’t get super hot but comfortable temperature after a hot day still. Front desk was helpful in providing extra towels and shampoo on request, and recommended a golf cart rental just outside the hotel (we walked around for 10 mins and spoke to 6 other people and this was the best price - 1300 pesos for the day). Definitely recommend getting a cart to explore the other side of the island! Be prepared to pay a lot for dinner on the beach ($80usd for 2 people at one of the nicer ones) but going a few streets away from the beach you’ll get more of a home cooked, delicious, authentic, cheaper experience.

Rooms are a little run down but not dirty

Location is great. Staff were so kind and friendly. Everything was clean. Pool is beautiful. The room had a small fridge, safe and hair dryer. There is a short cut on the backside of building three that will take you closer to Hidalgo. The hotel does provide towels for the beach. We did not get charged for them. As suggested by others, we requested a room in the ‘newer building’ (superior double or twin room) and they did accommodate us.

The WiFi was not always great, definitely not a deal breaker- on holiday after all! Others have mentioned and I agree, I wish they had some type of shelf in the shower to place soap, shampoo, conditioner, razor etc. It would have been nice if they had a microwave in the room so I could make coffee or tea.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is perfect, just steps away from the beach and main road. It’s an older hotel and relatively inexpensive; however, the staff was wonderful and made our stay a very good experience. Our room was serviced by Veronica; her attention to detail and kindness made us feel welcomed and comfortable. The beachside food and drinks are provided via the hotel’s restaurant, everything was on point and reasonably priced. Tip: Stop by the front desk for a ticket that provides a reduced rate on beach chair/umbrella rentals. You’ll pay less for a daily rental than you’d pay for just two hours. The staff at the hotel made all of the difference; we’d definitely stay here again.

Just need to recognize that it’s an older and reasonably priced hotel.

Location was excellent - right across from the beach and within walking distance to the main strip and lots of shops and restaurants. Hotel gave us beach towels to use at the pool and beach and they were able to be exchanged for fresh ones (however we were required to put a deposit of $10 USD for each one, which we received back when we returned them). Restaurant, pool and pool bar were great, with prices comparable to those in the area. Air conditioning, shower pressure and toilet were all in good working condition. Golf cart rentals were nearby.

We weren't able to get a king bed (even though requested at booking time) or an early check in or late check out - reception staff were not very accommodating in that aspect. We were in the old section and it needs a revamp. Ceiling fans had lots of dust on them.

The location of Posada Del Mar is exceptional. Right at the Playa Centro Beach of Isla Mujeres, you can’t go wrong. The manager Raul is very welcoming as he gave tips about the island. The front desk staff were very helpful. They also were very kind to keep our luggage even before we checked in . The hotel is very scenic and pleasing. The on-site restaurant Penguino serve great breakfast . All in all great bang for the buck and I will be back for sure.

Location. Able to walk to excellent restaurants and beaches. Pool.

Property is starting to show its age. Electricity outages one evening for approximately 1 hour. Probably related to rain shower and thankfully restored before concerns about electricity for C-pap during sleep and AC. We had to report issues with our toilet two times. Repair was prompt.

everything about this hotel is location, location,location you walk out the front lobby and the best beach playa Centro is right there .the whole vibe is a beach town at 9:00 am nobody is on the island yet by 1:00 pm thousands of people come over by ferry from Cancun to experience the top beach in Mexico!! you are right there!! for about $120 u.s. a night at about 8:30 pm the whole crowd goes back to Cancun and you get to enjoy fantastic night life without a lot of people the hotel is nothing special 2.5 stars at most but it great because of the location, location,location
