We stayed in the penthouse and it was beautiful. Unfortunately it was advertised with a sofa bed and it did not have one so the staff brought up and inflatable mattress which worked well for my teenage grandson. I would say that the front desk is less than friendly but you cannot beat the scenery and especially up on the penthouse the ability to enjoy everything that North Beach offers

We had rented two golf carts so we were told that there would be parking there for us unfortunately everybody else thought that parking was for them also several times we would return from a meal or sightseeing and we would have no place to park. I think it this is a hotel that is a wannabe Boutique Hotel they just aren't there yet.i

This place is absolutely wonderful. The best location one can wish for on Isla Mujeres on the north beach. Private beach to the hotel with sunbeds exclusively for hotel guest. Crystal white sand and the cleanest sea. Just like one dreams of when you go to Mexico. Fantastic view over the ocean from the room with windows from floor to the ceiling. The restaurant is situated on the beach. Really nice continental breakfast buffet. Small, but definitely sufficient. The lunch menu and quality of the food was excellent. The restaurant and beach closes at 6 pm. This means that it is wonderfully quiet and peaceful in the nighttime. Only a short walk to restaurants and bars in the nighttime. The room was very comfortable. Nice beds. Shower with hot water (not a common thing in Mexico we found out). Efficient air conditioning.

We rented the penthouse/apartment. Check-in is at 3pm so if you arrive early you'll need to wait. They let us leave our bags in the small reception room and we promptly changed into swimwear and hit the beach. The view from the apartment was absolutely beautiful! The outdoor furniture on the 1st balcony was probably more comfortable than the beds. The top balcony didn't have any furniture but would definitely need some sort of shade or you'd burn up in the sun up there...but the view was spectacular! We loved sitting in the main dining room enjoying the ac while looking out the huge windows, great spot to have your morning coffee. The plunge pool was great although it gets pretty warm late in the day. The apartment can sleep 6 people maybe 8 if two would be comfy on the futon. There's only 1 bathroom so that might need to be taken into consideration whom you're traveling with. The beds were a bit hard but that's kind of a norm with any Mexico resort and/or hotel. The kitchen was great to make breakfast in the mornings, it could use a few more utensils but we made due. We went to the supermarket and loaded up on basic groceries and cocktail supplies. Grab a few cases of bottled waters so you can make ice right away. Of course, you can order food and drinks at the Chichi's & Charlie's restaurant and they'll serve you on the beach. Prices are at a premium so we would run and make our own drinks on and off to keep the bill down. The food was great, loved the mixed ceviche and shrimp nachos. Cuxos location is the hub for day trip travelers coming from Cancun so the beach can get busy but we never felt super overcrowded, there's plenty of water and beach to wander on. North beach is also the hub for private yachts and catamarans so you're a bit innodated with music coming from all directions. We did a private yacht 2 of the days we were there and loved getting to see so much of the water around the island.

Maybe a few "inclusive" items when renting the apartment/penthouse. We understood that it would be a boutique hotel experience but hoped for a few extras for renting their top room. Mattress toppers would make a huge difference! More ice trays would be helpful too.

no bath towels on arrival had to pay for beach towels daily ( did not state to bring beach towels -only hotel on north beach to not provide beach towels) did not provide glasses, plates , utensils No coffee pot No drinking water in room!

Location amazing, cleanness and staff fantastic, Mgr. immediately took care of a broken lock, also allowed early check in since they had a room available. Most places make you wait for check in time. This is my 2nd stay and look forward to my 3rd.

Beach chairs and umbrellas get put away to early in the day. Suggestion, be nice to have a coffee maker or kettle to heat water for tea.

The room has an amazing view of the beautiful carribean sea and is in a great location. It's safe to swim on this beach and it's lovely to walk up and down Playa Norte. Sunset right here is also a bonus. This room had an amazing shower and bathroom equipped with a hair-dryer.

The room was a little noisy with construction during the day (behind the building and in front on the beach) and an intermittent whirring noise day and night (maybe a generator). It's a spacious room which is great but we had 4 chairs with no table which was quite strange. We did ask about a table but didn't hear back.

The position I very good. The room is very big and there are umbrellas with 2 beds included.

The chef who prepares the breakfast is the nicer and kinder person of the staff but unfortunately the breakfast is poor. The privacy is not really guaranteed: All the rooms have an issue with the curtains and when walking on the corridor you can see inside. The hairdryer is very small. The towels were cleaned but some of them were quite old.

Excellent location. The views at sunset were amazing! Two bars/restaurants kept me satisfied (for lunch and early dinner. They close down at 6 when we went.

It would be nice if there was a simple luggage shuttle to and from the ferry terminal. Also, different blinds would be nice. The only window privacy option was to completely roll down the full window roman shades, making it completely impossible to see out in any way

This was our second year staying at the property. We love the proximity to HIdalgo and the fact that you are beachfront. The staff is super-friendly and helpful. We will be back next year!!

Only thing this time, which was temporary, was working being done around the property that would start at 5am. Not normally up at that time and do not want to be while on vacation!!

The top floor apartment is amazing and it does match the pictures. the furniture is beautiful and unique, but the kitchen was poorly equipped with old pots. from my point of view

The reception is really basic, the staff is around only some hours during day. I must say that I did not need anything from the reception so it was not a big deal.
