We enjoyed the restaurant on site. Good breakfast; great value. Beautiful location! Loved the beach access. We also appreciated being at the quieter south end of Isla Mujeres. Loved the massage that was available on site.

There was a lot of noise due to the construction happening all day and well into the evening outside of our room. There was no hot water. The beach club music was quite loud and was on almost all day and well into the late night. It would be nice if there was some quiet time or traditional instrumental Mexican music for part of the day.

The beach, the bar, the restaurant, the lounge bed/chairs in the beach, all excellent. Great location. Loved the more authentic feel and having sand under your feet for breakfast and dinner

The music was too loud. But that was everywhere in the island. I wish they could would lower the music or choose some relaxing music rather than tecno nightclub music. Silence would also be great.

Sunset/beach views and lovely tropical canopy to gaze from your hammock. Cosy room, comfortable beds, and friendly staff.

The beach club associated with the hotel had good food but a bit inflated prices and poor service. For the large part of our stay, the waiters were young, untrained, inexperienced, and, at times, lazy. Yet they always asked for tips. We ended up not using the beach club a lot. Everything else was great.

We basically had a private hotel and private beach since there wasn't many people when we went! Amazing clean beach, adorable animals roaming around, perfect location with pharmacy and sushi restaurant across the street! We got lucky first few days with a clean and quiet/respectful dorm room! No left out items at all, and everyone kinda of had a set bed/quiet time by 9/10pm in dorm.... Last night there we had a gross & messy family move in after the clean dormies checked out (who's obese dad snored SOO loud & passed gas at night smh, so bring earplugs!!! Or change rooms, staff is very accommodating if you ask)

The only reason this is not a 10 star review place is because we had a horrible waiter guy the entire trip. Same guy, he was over the table top area near pier...he kept demanding tips and got mad at us for not giving him "enough"...we signed up for the free breakfast and literally did not even go two days because we didn't want to deal with that waiter. We gave him a $20 usd tip on FREE breakfast and he didn't charge us for the add ons....only to find me later and say he forgot to charge us! Fire him and this place is 10 stars. Food was great. Other bar and staff were always friendly.

Mayan Monkey Island Mujeres was the best place I ever visited,and I am a solo traveler who has traveled around the world.The Staff are 5 ⭐️,the place is 5 🌟 and the location is 5 ⭐️. The only point to consider when staying in Mayan monkey Isla Mujeres is,this is a Island and the hostel/Hotel is on the middle part of the island so,the center of the island and Playa North (the most beautiful and famous spot is a bit far away and a Taxi will be needed.In case you hire a Golf car or a Bicycle it won’t be a problem. The other part of the Island called Punta Sur is closer so the taxi is cheaper and also you can go cycling if you prefer. Everything was perfect and a big thanks for the waiter Alex and the waitress Freya and for all others too and for the barmen Roman who were the best! Thanks for bar girl that I forgot to ask her name🙈. The receptionists Brian and Janette were out of this world with their services. Guys without you all,

There’s nothing to dislike!

Property is great, lovely facilities and great beach club, you forget you’re staying at a hostel. Staff are lovely and the food was great. There is food and drinks service on the beach so you can relax. Great sunsets!!!!

Location is not amazing, you are really not near anything, there is a walkable shop about 13 mins away but tough in the heat so best to taxi everywhere. The island is not massive so it’s not a major issue, but it does make leaving the hostel a lot of effort each time. The hostel does organise activities but they don’t always go ahead which is tricky. It is not the most sociable of hostels maybe due to the mix of guests and non guests. Beach service was a mix, good if you got Freya to serve you but others not so helpful.

Clean and comfortable place to stay. Beautiful ocean front views. Breakfast just a few feet away from the shore. Samura the Japanese restaurant directly across the street is a must try. 10/10

Included breakfast was very tasty and beautifully presented, but service was slow. We were the only ones at breakfast and still waited over 30 minutes each day for 2 simple/standard orders. Overall good value though. Didn't understand the point of them having a DJ every night when the beach is completely empty. Very loud music being played for the mosquitoes and crickets.

Very clean, comfy bed, responsive staff. Our bathroom got clogged and it was fixed right away, even tho it was 6AM. Nice location, but a bit of a pain if you need to walk. Having a golf cart rented is a good solution.

Noise complaints from reviews are not that bad; I mean - if you're not looking for complete peaceful bliss, the noise from the bar is manageable. However, the "amazing" beach beds that are shown in the pictures come with cost, no matter if you stay there or not. Since it's the beach club, having public access, the beach beds are allowed to use if you spend at least 100USD in a bar. Doesn't matter if you stay at the hotel or not. So in that sense, taking in consideration the room price and that you gotta pay another 100USD a day just to chill on the bed, is a bit of a rip off. .

Me and my partner stayed here for a few days and we really liked it here! There is a beach in front of the hotel and a cool pool. There is also a really good restaurant! If you want to be able to move a little bit around the island you can rent a golf cart. It’s not really fast but it is safe! The staff is really nice too. Our shower door was broken when we arrived and when I told them they suggested to move us to another room but we said it was ok if they just fixed it. They were really nice. The room we had: a jungle room was really clean and the lady who cleaned it was really nice. Every day we were excited to see what she made out of the towels. We once had a heart, a swan,… it was so pretty. I put some pictures so you are able to see it.

The only thing is that there is a restaurant just in front of our room and they play music really loud and really late but this hotel has a solution for everything! They have those things for the ears ( idk how it is called sorry). For each vest of the room. I don’t mind the sound because I am used to it at my home. But I understand it can be bothering.

Place is nice, I liked that it was different from resorts.Stuff fantastic, food good, but if it rains you might not have be able to have dinner, since it all outside. But there is great restaurant across the street and 5 min walk down the hill Great Sea food market restaurant! $$, but worst it. Take a bus (20 pesos) up to Punta Sur or all the way to playa Norte Beach. Taxi would be 150esh pesos. No need to rent golfcard ($100 a day) if you stay more days.Take a bus and walk downtown, more fun. Little mines for MayanMonkey music it the bar plays all day, louder at night, but we knew it ,plus we were spending days in downtown. So, enjoy!!!
