No way to adequately compliment the staff at this resort. They go the extra mile EVERY SINGLE TIME to make your stay more comfortable or pleasurable. Our first morning, I realized I had forgotten to pack my medications for my diabetes and high blood pressure. Yikes and panic! The front desk staff arranged for a pharmacist to come to the hotel while we were eating breakfast - he went over my list of medications, gave me a price and DELIVERED them to me 30 minutes later. The staff also gave excellent recommendations for every request. We decided we wanted to go to a beach area less crowded than most and they suggested a beach club called Garrafon de Castilla - AND Eduardo Delio, who seems to be everywhere when you need him, let us follow him to the club so that we wouldn't get lost. (The beach was perfect, by the way, including personal service with drinks, food and anything you wanted - and no charge for lounge chairs and umbrellas. The snorkeling was great there. Highly recommend!) The rooms are spacious at the Mint, and spotless. The food in the restaurant was excellent - we had breakfast there daily, and we enjoyed the shrimp dinner one evening. Both Loco Eddy and Gio are exceptional servers and very friendly. Of course, the staff arranged to have a golf cart delivered to the hotel, ALL the cleaning personnel and everyone at the front desk are always smiling and helpful. Did I mention that the pool is fabulous? The room itself was wonderful and the view from the balcony was breathtaking. My favorite hotel on the island!

The shower was the ONLY drawback of the hotel. Scalding hot and impossible to achieve and maintain the correct water temperature. It appeared that it would get instantly hot when someone else turned their shower off or on? I have not ruled out possible operator error on this malfunction! :)

The location was perfect. My sea side balcony room had such a spectacular view of the ocean - enjoyed several hours of the sight and sounds of the waves hitting the rocks. The hotel staff are ALL so accommodating and friendly. I only had breakfast at the hotel restaurant once, and it was delicious. The front desk clerks made arrangements for my golf cart delivery, spa appointments and taxi. They were all committed to my comfort and enjoyment.

I would have enjoyed more comfortable seating on the balcony. There were two metal chairs and it would have been nice to have one with some padding.

Nice big room, very large tv by hotel standards. Quiet room, away from most traffic. Kitchen facilities with a large fridge. .

Nearby beach red flagged and not suitable for swimming. Glasses and dishes could have been cleaner. But solved the issue by buying dishwashing fluid. Some of the kitchen drawers smelled slightly moldy, due to not being properly ventilated. Connected restaurant has some room for improvement . But there are some nice cafes nearby, and restaurants, so not really an issue as breakfast was not included.

Location was great. Very close to North beach and a coastal path to run down/ start a walk to the south. It was clean and basic and did the job for an extra nights stay on this fantastic island. Bedding, Towels and a soap were included. Our room was offset so kept cool and was quite quiet although still heard some noise. Staff were friendly to us. Nice areas to sit and watch the sunrise. There are swings and big chairs for those who like taking instagram photos.

The price was high for what it is (Just a bed in a room) but probably due to inflation of being on an island and last minute booking. After paying for the room plus £10 additional taxes and fees on top, we then had to pay an extra environmental fee upon arriving (this isn’t the hotels fault, it’s a government charge). Could do with a lick of paint and some TLC to revamp this place to the glory it could be.

the 'deluxe double w/ shared bath' gave ocean front balcony and view of the boardwalk up to the 2 beaches (appx. 1/2 mi.). Good English at the front desk. Laundry service, liquor store, coffee shop,snack store all within 2 blocks; full market 2.5 blocks. Similar Farmacia (best prices: eg ivermectin $2.40 /6ml tab ) 4 blocks. Best price on snorkel trip at Hostil next door. J&B scotch for 1/2 what I pay at home. Wifi good for zoom meetings, etc. (they actually do supply sheets contrary to booking.com info). Massage and reflexology service on site is professional and well trained.

Shared bath could use electrical and plumbing upgrades, but it works. Bring an extension cord if you need more than 2 plug-ins 4' off the ground. Try to get 2d floor and walk up; elevator is slow. Pool is small and over chlorinated.

Room size is huge! Air-conditioning works amazing. The location was perfect for us. We walked from the ferry to the hotel and then from the hotel we could get everywhere! The staff were super helpful . It’s a smaller boutique type hotel which we enjoyed!

The beds are uncomfortable. The first two nights we were exhausted but the 3rd and 4th night the mattress is just hard.

Staff, Location, Rooms Alain, front desk Supervisor, went above and beyond helping us during our stay. His actions, in helping us,will make sure we are a returning customer. Would also like to say Thank you to Lupida for keeping our room spotless and Edwardo for his service in Chichatana restaurant. Personnel thank you for champagne given to use for our anniversary.

Big clean room. Helpful staff. Coffee machine in the room. Free water bottle. Separate toilet and bathroom. Good location, relatively close to Playa norte.

The light in front of the toilet/shower doors went on automatically every time you came close and it shined to the sleeping area which was annoying during the night. Not related to room Someone seems to have hijacked their communication so they kept demanding confirmation of payment of accommodation. We turned to Booking.com and resolved the issue. The telephone number sited on their webpage doesn't seem to work.

We had a room with Sea View, which was very comfortable, with terrace, fridge and coffee machine. Staff were helpful and friendly. The pool overlooking the sea is wonderful and long enough for a swim. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Very good location, nice to be able to walk along the Malecón.

There weren't chairs on the terrace, which seems like a missed opportunity.

Almost perfect. Rooms are spacious, very family friendly. Restaurant and bar is very welcoming and has good quality of food. Pool is modern and well taken care of. Very professional and friendly staff.

Needed a place to dry the wet beach clothes, would of loved a drying rack.
