Best location you could ask for in PDC. Right on 5th Ave but the moment you walk in it’s SO quiet and peaceful. Couple minutes walk down a beautiful street to the beach and lots of good food spots nearby. The hotel itself is gorgeous - the garden and breakfast space feels like a jungle and the rooms are beautiful. A full breakfast of fruit, coffee, toast, omelettes is included and the staff are so lovely. This is my favourite hotel I’ve ever stayed in, SO sad to leave x

Very nicely furnished hotel, you could see that someone is paying attention to details. Best thing was that from the balcony you could see only trees, so it didn't feel like in the city. Breakfast was really delicious and the place to eat it among all the trees was very relaxing. Bed was comfortable. There is a restaurant just next door, so there is some noise, but no loud music and usually ended around midnight. They have parking places right in front of the entrance. It's right in the centre, but on a nice, green alley going straight to the beach (the beach close by is awful, but 10mins walk down the road there is a very nice and wide public beach).

You'd have to wait for 5minutes for hot water in the shower, not a big issue, just a big waste of water. It might be difficult for some people to carry the luggage on the stairs. The bicycles that they offer are completely useless and dangerous to use, they are falling apart, but probably a 10$ fix would do the job.

The staff were lovely, but the highlight was the chef. Breakfast every morning overlooking the garden was so nice, and the food was exceptional. Location is great, stones throw from the madness of 5th, and a short walk to the beach. Would highly recommend.

This is an incredible property. The rooms are nestled in a leash garden setting with beautiful plants everywhere. The grounds are manicured constantly. The owner clearly loves her property. When we arrived, adrian gave us a tour. He spoke fluid English and was as nice and as helpful as anyone could possibly be. The restaurant is fantastic. The employees are super kind. At 5:30 in the morning an array of birds begin to fly from tree to tree. This is the best place to stay if you want to visit Chichen Itza. There are cenote close by. A taxi cost about five dollars. They have an array of spa services. When I return, I will definitely stay there. If you want romance, this is a great place to stay. If you love nature, this is a fantastic place to stay. Obviously, I loved it and my wife did too. Wake up super early and go to the ruins right when they open to beat the crowds and the heat. My wife and I own EatTravelGo.com based in LA Ca USA and we paid full price to stay there. It was a great value.

I cannot think of anything I did not like about the property. We were there in May. While it was very hot. The gardens provided lots of shade which helped. There’s also a refreshing pool to swim in. The air conditioner in the room worked great.

The staff and the property at Hotel La Semilla was warm, welcoming, and charming! Each person we interacted with was kind, helpful, and always had a smile. The jungle setting and the courtyard where breakfast was served was elegantly decorated with string lights and vintage bistro-style tables and chairs. One of the best parts of this experience was the two-course daily breakfast made by Valeria and served by Claudia! The fruit was so fresh and beautifully arranged on our plates each morning. There was yougurt with a varitey of seeds and granola, along with whole grain bread for toast, and delicious homemade jam. There was a cooked egg dish for our second course, incorporating specialities from the Yacatan and the fresh squeezed juices were amazing! The soft neutral colors of the rooms and wood features made them elegant and invited you to relax and unwind.

Nothing, it was exactly as pictured and described! The gentleman who worked the front desk was kind and helpful working to get our room cleaned for an earlier check-in, as we arrived quite early in the morning.

A charming property with a quaint garden. Rooms are clean and spacious. We booked the room with a terrace and got the top floor room with a nice balcony overlooking some greenery. Sound proofing is pretty good and we were not disturbed during our stay. Good breakfast available at the hotel with many restaurant options in the vicinity.

Small appliances like a hairdryer is not available in the room. That being said the staff was helpful and found one that I could use. The cleaning products used is quite strong and not a pleasant smell, takes a while to settle down. No elevator and carrying suitcases to the top floor was tedious however the staff assisted with the luggage.

The hotel is cozy and the room with terrace I booked was great. I loved the fact that breakfast was included, fresh fruit and juices were served every morning, with a daily special from Gabriel that was cooking…he is lovely 😀. The room was equipped with shampoo/conditioner/body shower. The location is great, as it is close to the beach and to the main central area. They offer free bikes for rent and beach towels, which is genius. I did not find it particularly noisy, besides the Saturday but if you want to be central you need to consider there will be nightlife as well. Everything is walking distance, you don’t necessarily need a car, although I wanted to visit cenotes , etc. I was by myself so I found it safer to ask the hotel helping me booking transfers, which they did. Taxis are extremely expensive, I therefore suggest you rent a car or use other transportation instead. The girls at the desk were always available 24/7 and extremely helpful. The girl from the night shift was very sweet and welcoming 😀 Claudia which was there daytime has been professional and proactive. I will definitely recommend staying there 😍

Everything was simply magical - one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had, especially for the rate we paid. From the beautiful tropical paradise in the center courtyard to the friendly staff cooking a delicious breakfast for you as if you were family, there’s a lot to love about this place. I genuinely felt cared for and felt the staff were working hard from their hearts to show their care for the hotel and its visitors. The rooms were also comfortable and well equipped. The tea, coffee and snacks service available at all times was wonderful as well. Really going to miss having my coffee every morning in the rainforest. Thank you so much!

It was better than I expected, but the noise coming from people coming up and down the stairs wasn’t ideal; I wish other guests would respect the noise level.

Absolutely sensational! We honestly were in awe with how amazing this hotel is. It looks even better in person than in pictures and seems to be very freshly built. Everything was clean, you can’t hear anything from the street outside, it’s in prime location. THE STAR THOUGH IS THE BREAKFAST! It’s made to order and is delicious!!! We were very sad to leave and wished we could stay there for another day! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

The location was beautiful! A true oasis in the middle of busy playa del carmen. La semilla I had a fantastic experience at La Semilla hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere throughout my stay. The spacious and comfortable beds ensured a restful night's sleep. The beautiful courtyard where breakfast was served felt like a tranquil oasis, enhancing the overall sense of well-being. The daily varied breakfast was excellent, adding a delightful touch to each morning. I highly recommend La Semilla for a memorable and comfortable stay.
